    • I completed my first service with 200 km on my GS....after the service I crossed the 60km/hr in the bike and kept the rpm between 4500-5000...did this only once...no problem with the bike..can i continue in that range or I should stick to the 45km/hr speed

60kmph is fine....but make sure you don't cross it till 800km on odo.....keep the rpm varying...dont ride at constant speeds....

              • Completed 8th service yesterday....did another 1 litre fuel test, got only 35kmpl...Mileage is still the same, No improvement after service inspite of telling them specifically ...I will try tuning it myself.

Feeling vibs on the right footrest and also on the tank near the thighs above 4.5krpm.....Is this normal?

Self tuning not recommended unless you know what you are doing. Better approach a reliable mechanic.

check you visor screws. Its possible that the one may be a bit loose. Also try to shake the footrest with hand to see if it is loose..

                    Grey one: Corporate feeling.
                    Orange one: Vibrant.
                    Blue one:The Head turner.
Black one:its most common colour so wont stand out of crowd.....

                      • Anyone suggest a good head lamp for our GS. The one in the bike is pathetic. I want a direct fit since i am still not ready for HID. I have seen the Osaram Night breaker but i think it is 55w, where as our bike requires 35w.

                        Thanks for the help.

I have complained to SVC lot about mileage, but no use, i think i will never go to that SVC again.....I have read lot about tuning methods, i will try doing it myself and check back the mileage again....If that doesnt work , will write to suzuki about my issues...Last resort is to get bike serviced though a mechanic....If someone from bangalore can help me in tuning the carb correctly, i would be glad to meet you

..I still have vibes, roughness, and other issues but i wouldnt mind them at all if i would get a decent ,mileage....I feel no point in holding a low end pick up 150cc bike which gives me 35kmpl avaerage...

                          • Man so many guys from mumbai....and i havent met anyone except balaji and jayant....
osram night breaker is the best one to put in our GS....it will work no problems on that. You just need to replace the pilot lamps to leds or run the stock pilot lamps on DC....
Even though the 55w lamp wont be fully powered since it will be getting just 45w....then also the output is far more increased since the osram provides 100% more light as compared to halogen!!!

Buy one white or blue LED and replace it with the default bulb for rear license plate lamp ( yeah that too have the same specs of pilot lamp and that will be a direct fit ) with this you can save 5W more power.........hehehe

                              Hey kesav, (GS150R)
Don't take my personally, but I have to ask this for you.

If you felt sick you will consult a doctor, if that medicine doesn't works you will consult another specialist doctor but you won't google and take the medicine by own rite...

Yeah the reason is same here, local mechanic is the next step if the ASS is really ass.

Not only suzuki, nowadays almost all dealers service centers are like that only the exception is on all places there are few good service engineers if they serviced it then it will work.

Am not recommending any local mechanic, if am at your place I will stay at the svc made sure the mileage and other issues are fixed before taking delivery.

On most of my visits to SVC if I have any specific concern I will ask them is it fixed or not even if they fixed it ill ask for a trial drive and made sure the issue is fixed.

So my suggestion is just update your issue on suzuki complaints web page then go back to the same dealer ASS and made sure your issue is fixed.

For svc its one among the 100's of bikes they service on day to day, and for you its your only beloved bike. So your effort makes sense here.

Go with service engineer and do the trial run of 5 or even 25 kms with him and made sure its fixed.

Even if the doctor is sick he will get himself hospitalized in another hospital.

So don't screw up your GS its equivalent to amputating it
Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity

It wont help...as the number plate light is directly connected to battery so those 5 more watts wont be counted!!!
