Maestro,
The number plate bulb (license plate light) is connected to the RR; not to the battery. I was not able to ascertain it yesterday as it was removed from my bike to show the LED dealer.

Since I use the GS150R 2010 model which had no change with respect to the reflector..........let me update the feel after the HID is being used on it.
1.The throw of light is very wide, both low and high beam does very well widely spreads the light like that of a 4-wheeler.
2.The high beam is enough to blind any vehicle ahead of mine with rvms or oncoming from the opposite side on a typically traffic laden dark highway. Its torture is only unleashed on them who tries to be a nuisance by constantly turning the high beams on.
3.Almost everyone mistakes the color of the 4300K HID on my bike for a 6000K brilliant white unit.Wise people says that the reflector is causing a chromatic aberration or intensifying the light somehow.
(Though I seriously believe, it is half the reflector and half the electricity provided by the battery that is doing the trick)
So I have no complaint about the reflector.........it is just a good reflector(different character) ruined by cheap AC electrical and cheap lamps.Last edited by MACH50; 07-28-2011, 07:43 PM.Hell's Angel

No bulbs in the rear side glow unless you apply the brake or switch on the headlight or pilot lights; I am sure. Its wire is connected to the headlight/position light switch. Please recheck.

This is the number plate light I mention.

I meant with just the pilot lights switched on...and the bikes key pointing ignition but bike not started...still that one(Number plate light) lights up....why is this happening???Originally posted by vishnukmd View PostNo bulbs in the rear side glow unless you apply the brake or switch on the headlight or pilot lights; I am sure. What I said was from the electrical diagram of our bike, which is complicated. The number plate bulb of my bike is not fitted yet. Shall check again tomorrow.

Number (license) plate LED specs
Hi,
A normal led which we use for pilot lamp is not wise choice for the number plate
Reason being the number plate led has sheed more light towards downside rather than straight.
So a low cost (approx 20 rupees ) LED looks like the default bulb will do the job better.
Yes am using that for almost past 1 year with no problem.
@ vishnu just curious to see the picture of the pilot lamp while headlamp on to see how bright it isSarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity
Currently Using Gusto |Enfield Bullet 500 | Ecosport Titanium+ Diesel

The stock bulbs for the pilot lamps and number plate light are the same 5 watt bulb and are inter changeable. The downward light is due to the reflector in the number plate light.
I shall try to upload the picture tomorrow.
