...
didnt go for Yamaha as i am not very keen on sporty look...and didnot checked Unicorn because of waiting period of 3 months in bangalore
is there any other bike i should test ride before jumping... bit edgy as it is the first bike
btw i spoke with the Apple autoa gency (btm layout) and they said it is readily available and can be handed over same day. i thought there was some stuff required to deliver as most dealers say next day.
does anyone have bought a bike from them..can you share the experince ? what all can i get included in complementry accessories from them and what all should i check before taking the delivey of bike.(any tunin any thing i should ask specifically)
also one off track Q.... does dealer get the bike registered at RTO or do i have to go there..they do speak about RC smartcard ..
thanks
Welcome pal,
1. I have no idea about apple auto.....
I got my bike delivered on the same day, bought it from millers road (vasanth nagar) after 3 days they called me to bring the vehicle for registration then in another 10 days collect documents (registration recipt, manual, tool kit, first aid kit etc...) They do writen the registration number free of cost)
2. Registration dealer should do it at the place (registration office ) where you want it to be registred.
In straight they should register at RTO near to your living place where ever it may be either kanyakumari or kerela they should do it for you.
If more than one RTO is there in your place then registration can be done at your prifered RTO (am living at KA-53 area but did at KA-03 as both comes with in bangalore.
The only exception is if you are a army men and buying it thru miliatry quota at special discounted price then you need to take it to registration office and spent money from your pocket.
Complementory and freebies all depends up on dealers attitude and mood.
But sarrie guard, number plate are part of the bike.
You can bargine for free seat cover, tank cover, handgrip, turn indicator horn and teflon coating.
Just search for PDI checklist in XBHPSarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity

It cost me only 10K.
I would have liked to share the picture, but since it is securely located inside the airbox, there is not much to see.I have to open the air-box for the same which I do not want to.
Thanks Mach & Vishumkd for superchager info..I would like to fit this to my GS also

It can be, but its a tedious job which requires the tank to be removed......so that may be the reason why the SVC guy said no!!

1)completed 250 On odo today after 25 daysOriginally posted by vishnukmd View PostRelease the choke before you ride and adjust the rpm to 1300-1400 when the engine is warm. This will solve the heating problem. Yours is a new bike and therefore oil level cannot be suspected. But, just for nothing, check the oil level too as Madhu said.
All the bikes have this gap between the seat and frame and water enters though it. So, keep the documents covered in plastic bags.
There is no need to be afraid of the mileage unless you check it.
2)got the varying idle Rpm fixed up, svc mech just adjusted the idle rpm wit tachometer . the bike was ok for week and a half but the problem came back to haunt me again when i went for my longest drive of 15km
(till now).
when i put her in garage the idle rpm was between 2 and 2.5
. wit varying noises(clinging noise) and fuel tank vibrating thereby sensing the movement of piston in the cylinder by touching the tank itself .
3) checked the mileage through R-R method it was just 37 .
37 is understandable due to prob no 2, havenot crossed 45km/h till now .
4) going to SVC for regular first service tis week. my svc told me tat he uses castrol oil , would they entertain oil from customer???

you should travel a bit more on the bike mate. else the parts will not mate properly. it could be possible that due to vibes the screw is getting loose. get it fixed from SVC..go and explain your problems to them..dont shout or loose your cool as it will not help. hope they can fix the issues..Originally posted by newfan View Post

can we replace the stock 100 tyre with 120 section rear one without changing the rim????has any one tried it?

It can be fitted witout rim change but the gap between the tyre and chain guard is just about 1cm.
