Not the water exit hole, but the hole adjacent to it - the air vent. Cleaning it may be enough to solve this problem. Otherwise, clean the mesh with the fuel cock, the fuel line from the tank to the carburetor and lastly, the carburetor.

Since the bike goes on after opening the fuel tank cap, the probability is the dust clogging in the vent pipe obstructing the air flow in to the tank.

it doesn't need any change in the rim or front alloy.
They put some typical clamp to connect it with the alloy wheel
Have seen disk break set up done on pulsar gen 1 model and seen a CBz old model bike with dual disk on back using after market products.
There you can get cheeper one and even brembo like top class makes too.

Clamping the disc brake rotor to the alloy – preferably with U clamps - is a clever idea. This solution didn’t come to my mind. Let us hope we can mount the caliper assembly too on clamps.

    • My First Trip on My Beast

      Hello Friends

Today i made a small trip to a Dam called thirumoorthy dam which is 130km from my home, Though there is no huge water in dam but the trip was nice

I have attached some pictures of the trip, i am sorry for my poor mobile camera.

Note: Last two picture shows the total distance covered in Trip meter A and the ODO of my GS(i have covered nearly 2K of ODO in 20 Days old GS) respectively

      • Problem :Sparks flying near the Spark plug gain

Suzuki GW250 – Production Begins in China, May Soon Come to India

        Tyre Requirements for Two-Wheelers

        check this out !

MSN, MACH , Vishnu & all guys here who have a problem of bike losing its breath or sudden jerks would like to maybe enlighten you with a problem. of spark plug current leakage problem . check this out if it is there on your bike @ all this is the second time i have sent my bike to SVC for the same problem. MSN, MACH , Vishnu ..guyz what could be the problem ?

sparks fly out near the spark plug adapter , earlier mr. ganesh tawale supervisor at the SVC told me that it was because there was water over there but as vishnu pointed out, i also have the same doubt at such high temperatures how can water still be there ?
Last time they changed the spark plug cap & the spark plug but they charged me for spark plug cap of Rs. 50 & were asking me to pay for spark plug ! i just took my bike from there!! hell do will i pay !
after that the bike was butter smooth, gear shifts were ultra smooth but till yesterday again the same problem was discovered by me , i took it to the SVC again they have sent it to Mulund ,riya motors & now they said they are having a trial for one day & hopefully i will get my bike on saturday ! OOPs

what could be the problem guys what if this problem arises again what can i ask for replacement of ?

Vulcan........some time ago I too faced a problem of jerks from the GS150R especially at high speeds.

It was partly solved by Vishnukmd........who suggested me to use the sparkplug cap/adapter of Suzuki Zeus instead of the GS150R, and then most of the problem vanished.

But still, in the extreme redlined rpms, the bike felt out of breath and jerked mildly...........and that problem was answered by the supercharger I am using on my bike.

Now my bike is a smooth and docile machine and from ,"it fights at high rpms" machine, it has turned into........"it loves high rpms" machine. No jerks or sudden fuel jerk during coming down a bridge or drag out redlining anymore.

So this problem can be solved in two ways I feel:

1.Replacing the stock spark plug adapter of GS150R with the ones used on Zeus125 or Slingshot 125.

2.Replacing the paper filter with foam filter used on Suzuki Fiero or on TVS Apache RTRs.This would change the sound of your bike but your bike would love it,breath easier and smoothen out more.(Obviously,Supercharging is a whole another level, any GS150R owner wanting that tech or mod is welcome to my place in West Bengal).

              • Co-incidence ! I'm here to report the jerking issue and there is already a discussion..
Will give my bike to full servicing to a mechanic tomorrow instead of me doing it like I've been since many months.. Hope its all fine later !

                • Its as good as the saddlesore but with a twist!!!!!

check this one too....... https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...2682.503803381 its more fun to ride there than just seeing the photographs....

                  from my side.....
It was one hell of a ride.....would suggest everyone to go for that offroading experience, it surely will let the politicians spare from your bad words which you utter when you encounter a potholed road....i thought that Mumbai roads are the worst but the RAJMACHI trek with bike, changed my views.....now the city roads share the spot of some of the finest roads .....regarding the performance of GS there.....

There were two GS one mine and the other one was jayant's....Mumbai xBhp makes a point that whenever we are riding out of city we are coming in full riding gears or we are not allowing that respective person to ride with us....so made jayant run here and there for riding gears a day before(Sry JAYANT but you know it was for your own safety)....told him to meet me at shilphata....which he promptly did.....was 5 minutes late at the place.....filled petrol which took me 10 mins at petrol pump....now why 10 minutes....just as i put the key back after filling noticed a small baby lizard on the speedo coming out of nowhere.....was freaked out got down from bike.....removed it using the keys....meanwhile jayant called telling me that he reached....i told him just gimme 5 mins i'll be there....now the road leading the spot was one which was frequently travelled by me....so it was time for some high speed run....n scared s*** out of a gaon wala pulsar guy who was r at some 90+ speeds....passed him with nearly 1 m space between our bikes.......it was 124on odo with me fully geared and crouched, with my GS screaming at its top voice......

within 4 mins saw jayant sitting calmly on his bike.....just shook hands with him as we were getting late.....for past 1 and half year i have been riding with xBhp so knew you have to take +1 hr in the departure time....but still there were as many as 7 new people joining so had to hurry.....while leaving he told me that he needs to fuel up his tank so tanked up at next petrol pump.....at that point we spoke.....rode cautiously as there were many speed breakers lined up for our welcome....many of them grouped together in pack of four.....had a horrible time with them during my saddle sore which resulted in me and ninad flying with our bikes hitting them in triple digits.....so signalled jayant whenever required.....then as usual i rode with ocassionally power shifting.....and he stayed behind....but almost every time caught up with me while i braked....reached panvel Mcd....where we were supposed to meet all other guys from mumbai....after parking my bike the first question from jayant "tum log bike itni fast hi chalate ho kya?"so i negated the answer....and told him as the group increases the speed decreases....we went inside....al the new comers were already present....and as usual the regular guys were late by as much as half hour.....

                  (now i will cutshort things)

we briefed everyone about the rules to be followed and stuff....i kept jayant ahead in group and swept.....hadd fun riding....stopped at RK's had breakfast....then waited for some more peoplle to join from mumbai....they came and we left.....now the beginning of the road was a steep slope going down with stones.....i bumped on a stone and stood up...this caused to accidently press the rear brake hard and the rear wheel locked up....for a moment i thought "lo ho gaya kaam tamam" but thankfully controlled the bike somehow.....rode sanely ahead....got call from a ninja guy so stopped while others moved ahead....told him to meet us at a place called della adventure.....few guys who go regularly with me waited patiently for me to end the call.....and we moved ahead....

after reaching the place we saw a view which no one would get to see in city.....20+ bikes parked with fully geared riders standing besides them on a lush green ground.....went and parked it mine aside.....clicked some snaps.....in mean time the ninja guy came....talked a bit and the group moved ahead....we made the ninja guy park his bike there at a secure place and i took him pillion with me....switched to power mode as i felt its more torquey in nature....and constantly rode in 2nd gear....suspension was set to medium.....the ninja guy was surprised at how the bike easily pulled us towards our destination.....since he weighed more than 80 kgs the GS didnt go off track....but made noises....as i lost the rubber from the side panel....we travelled and travelled.....we encountered breath taking valleys, waterfalls and what not.....really enjoyed splashing water followed by sagar who said sorry to girls as decency and he was followed by ninad who splashed again....but the girls didnt complain...as they were left in awe state by nearly 30 fully geared riders who rode shamelessly, insanely in the muck....on a path where they found it difficult to walk.....mind you we also had a Honda DIO with us....hats off to him....uncle log were lyk isn't that a dio????.....n we just laughed.....

then came a moment where it was knee deep slush...and the bullet sank there....thats will be the most remembered pic from the journey as many as 6-7 guys came in action and got the bullet away from that muck....few of them like me and two more guys took a different route....we took the jungle route to bypass that part........we met some hilarious creatures while crossing a small river....though it was knee deep but was scary as you couldnt see wats beneath and could trip any time....that guy was only drunk and only in his undies...was making fun of us...by giving us crazy names....we took it lightly and enjoyed what all we got to hear....till that point GS was doing wonders...now came the ultimate stretch.....first few riders went ahead with just minor pushing....but then rains started.....the soil became slippery.....and to top it we in our riding boots with almost nil grip were left with no option than to balance ourselves.....what not we did to pull the bikes....putting extra weight, pulling with a rope....phew that was tiring.....

the most normal thing happening to bikers"THE GREAT FALL" started....with a neew comer on his 220....he fell as many as 4-5 times and then we all came into action,we flexed our muscles, pushed, pulled and finally after spending 3 hours to cover 100 m stretch finally reached top.....many of them decided to keep their bikes downhill and travel as pillion on others bikes....but then somehow convinced themselves to enjoy the never experienced off roading...so except two bikes the bullet and one p220 we moved ahead....
so now it was some hairpin bends which welcomed us and we all somehow with the help of ninja guy, who picked up the bikes like toys and put them back on track, crossed that region...

a BIG thanks to him for being such a saviour....we then took numerous detours....during which tresspassed a private property too....made our bikes jump from a height of 1.5-2 feet.....and finally doing all this stuff reached a tapri.....had some biscuits.....few of them said they would return from there and not come ahead as it was almost three and they did not wanted to get stuck on such a route in night....lost track of jayant from here as he aslo went.......so thoda thoda karte karte majority stayed back....and moved ahead.....after going for like 200mts we reached the village....there we had awesome food....and the villagers were surprised by seeing MORONS like us....

some even questioned how the heck did you get the bikes up here....we politely answered them....n started our return journey.... now made the ninja guy sit on pulsar and enjoyed riding alone.....return journey was not that painful until the 100m slope came....after rains the condition was worse now....so slowly on by one we went down through the path of water as it was the only place where we would get some grip....we were literally sliding (like we do in water slides) with ocassional bumps but the crevice was 1 feet deep which ensured that we were not thrown out.....meanwhile two three people who chose different route(which was even difficult to walk) slided and fell....At that point i also fell....but the bike was standing as it is as it got support in the form of brake lever....i tried getting up but the riding shoes didnt allow me and the skidded again....i somehow got hold the grip of a small stone and got up.....That moment i understood a 2cmX 2cm stone also has a value......got the bike down....me and few people were helping others to get their bikes down and they went ahead...leaving us behind....as i was to sweep the senior riders ahead in the group had an assurity that no one will be left behind....we moved.......saw few of senior riders waiting for us.....we got that river crossing again but this time that drunkard was not there......so sat calmly.....washed ourselves....no one would be welcomed in there house with such stained clothes...we looked like we were pigs who just came out from mud.....

so the journey resumed.......three four guys went ahead and we encountered a beautiful waterfall.....all of us(5 of us who were left behind) stopped here.....did some crazy....never thinkable things here.....we crossed the river.....instead of taking the bridge we got down in water.....it was again knee deep....n DHADAAAAM..... i fell on my B**....my shoe lace got entangled......i got up....saw at back...no one saw me....phew....cautiously crossed the river.....called the rest of the people from the other side.....and there it was Mother Nature in its full glory.....the sound of water running down hilll....getting splashed on rocks.....the whole scene was so soothing.....it refreshed us.....we wanted to stay a little more but the clock warned us to move....after riding for like 1-2 kms....two bikers from our group were standing in opposite direction with their headlights on.....it was Satyen along with Winzee....they thought something happened to one of us and were coming back to see what the scene was.....satyen was pissed after hearing that they were waiting for us and we were enjoying the waterfall.....we rode together then.....with almost 7 in the clock it was nearly getting dark....i felt as if i am bear grylls with a bike.....the whole concept of riding in a jungle with minimal natural light and following the taillight of the front biker kept me amazed......also saw a white snake which thankfully was speeding and hence saved from getting under the R15....we reached della adventure back....the ride was bit harsh tilll here....and then i recounted while going i had 80 kg pillion with me and now i dont havethats why the bike was jumping.....we took his ninja and made back.....was really pissed when a skoda guy tried overtaking me.....i let him do what he wanted and saw him stucked at the very first slope where i got my rear wheel locked....his car was roaring like hell and that bechara was stuck in some really big big rocks....
It was decided that we would meet the guys at the highway, called them and they said they already are on the return leg of highway....we started...few of them wanted to tank up so said we will meet at a usual chai tapri enroute and few wanted to stay back at lonavala....

Now we encountered serious fog....with barely 3-4m visiblity only the tail light was the saviour.....the chai tapri is situated at a dangerous location.....its a steep slope with an urgent 90 degree right.....if you miss it then you are gone deep 200ft in valley.....to top it the fog was there so parked our bikes with indicators on......ordered chai and also sweet corn...he was closing but thankfully he had some coal still remaining so brought it and had it....the feel of having a hot bhutta on a chilly(thats a better word as we were drenched despite of us wearing rainwear) cannot be beaten....would give a thumbs up to those corn guys who were puching thier wagons uphill in wrong direction with no lights......many times the vehicles braked hard in nick of time and that saved them......we were left with our eyes open wide.....finally the remaining guys came and we all left the harrowing place.....we were now back on smooth roads and with rain gods sparing us....we drove sanely.....stopped at the entrance of JNPT....satyen n guys did some pet puja as they were tanking up while we ate....we bid adieu to them and mafde our machines roar....at the turn we saw melroy(thankfully he did not get his GT650R) slowing down....but thought it was just a turn thats why he must have slowed down n we continued.....finally the place came where i had to take a straight and all others took a left.....it was then the normal journey home....honking the trucks to give side.....seeing a toyota flying on those speed breakers which i mentioned initially.....cutting lanes...etc etc...

So, I finally reached home safe and sound....After reaching home came to know melroy hit a pothole on the smooth road which caused crack in his rims....was really really exhausted.....next day got up with whole body aching and with no scratches on bike...thanks to autographix clear stickers which beared the pressure...

To sum up....ride was fatte....wont forget it....never felt the weight of the bike.... also the torque helped........the stock wheels are a strict no no, this was the only con.....we(I and jayant) only know how we rode.....with bike swaying in any direction it was impossible to drive at anything above second gear......as expected Average ki Maa Behen ho gayi....and i am a happy maahn now

P.S. sry for not posting pics.....just check out the link....I am bit tired now after writing this.....

Many here were recommending it to be done by a mechanic..It doesn't seem to be so difficult.. Will try to identify with my finger in the tank and then poke a wire.. !

As maestro said, get it cleaned by the mechanic. At the same time, ask him to clean the fuel tank too.
