Supercharger on my bike is in form of an electric compressor.......which provides enough boost to blow a 150cc engine.

Installation was done by an engineer friend of mine who developed the design by himself and built it out of imported parts.

    It cost me only 10K.

I would have liked to share the picture, but since it is securely located inside the airbox, there is not much to see.I have to open the air-box for the same which I do not want to.

But the thing is friend.......when you ride at high rpms, the battery charging system and load on the RR goes up, it is then when the actually thing is tested.

For example you hit the highway in early morning or at night and then ride at constant 90-100 kmph cruise speed over 300kms...............then it is to be seen how it holds.

The solution you found out has been tested before.........but almost every other day after few months there had been electrical failure or battery failure on many bikes.............until the way I did with complete rewinding came up as the only reliable way.

Since, the mods suits your moderate requirements its fine.........but my requirements from my beloved GS150R exceeds most others

is there any other bike i should test ride before jumping... bit edgy as it is the first bike

btw i spoke with the Apple autoa gency (btm layout) and they said it is readily available and can be handed over same day. i thought there was some stuff required to deliver as most dealers say next day.

does anyone have bought a bike from them..can you share the experince ? what all can i get included in complementry accessories from them and what all should i check before taking the delivey of bike.(any tunin any thing i should ask specifically)

also one off track Q.... does dealer get the bike registered at RTO or do i have to go there..they do speak about RC smartcard ..

        thanks

Good Choice..yamaha was my next choice bike. honda is good too. finally buy a bike that you like after sitting on it. not by others choice.

i think ashokablr and a couple others have bought their bikes from there. seemed to be good. I got my bike deliverd the same day. nothing wrong with that.

when are you planning to buy the bike? have you decided the color?

after we get the news on the above information we can guide you further.

enjoy and if you do decide to buy this bike you will not regret it.

Good choice. But when you buy, check the VIN number and ask the showroom guys for the manufacturing date of the bike. Make sure it is not older than a couple of months at the max. Because, last heard that chennai dealers have stopped selling GS and are awaiting a new batch from Suzuki. So make sure you dont get a stocked one. Well, the new CBZx with rear disk is not a bad option either. Well at the end of the day, its your hard earned money and it is going to be your daily commute, so take a wise decision.

In case you have decided and booked a GS, Do a comprehensive PDI(pre-Delivery inspection) before taking delivery of the bike. check the following:
            1. Whole bike for scratches, dents or damages
            2. Difference in paint colours
            3. Rust(tank, silencer, nuts and bolts, screws and all metal components)
            4. take a torch and check the region behind engine
            5. check the tyres for wear marks, cuts and bruises, tread depth
            6. rims for cracks or damages
            7. disk for damages
            8. engine oil level and colour, brake fluid level
            9. start and check all electricals
            10. check braking and engine
            11. Ask the dealer to give a detailed instruction on how to use all the stuff(even if you know, ask them to explain it)

            All the best. Happy Miles.

              Hi there,

I got my bike almost 3 months back from Apple Auto(DG petrol bunk).
Dealership experience was good and you can see further details in my previous posts - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...tml#post625253
You need not have to worry about the registration. The dealer will take care of that and you will get a RC smart card after a month delivered to your door step

And If you choose GS then I am sure you will not regret ur decision at all.Its a fantastic bike to own and everyone in this thread can vouch on that.

And Apple auto received some new lot of GS's last month and yes they will deliver the bike on the same day(same was my case - went there by 11 am and got my bike at around 4pm ).

As KIRTIMANNAN and WayOfLife said, yours is a wise selection.

While selecting the bike, ensure that it is scratch free. Even the battery fitting and oil filling is done after you select the bike and there is a separate bike for test riding in all the main dealerships. So there is no need to bother about the prior usage of the bike.
Most of the dealers are doing the insuring, taxpaying and registering themselves. Let them do all these jobs as it is easier. All the best.

Here you will get most of all the necessary information about this super ‘electric superchargers’ which provide 50 to 250% increase in power, performance and mileage! (All at the same time). Some are working on 3 AA cells.
If you are selecting the correct one, fuel itself may not be needed to run the bike, provided you are ready to push it instead of riding.

but, i have a basic idea of how it works as i studied it. i just want to know what is the setup on mach da's bike. ie if his bike drive train is used to run the supercharge or is there another motor?? and if this setup is manually operated or is on at all times. If it is on at all times isnt it a bit dangerous???

also there is a PM for you..if ur internet is still giving trouble and you feel like reply plz do so to my email id.

                        Switch activated.........

@vishnukmd: Your regards about an electric kompressor on this forum surely shows dire disregard about the fact that the supercharger on my bike actually works.
Please do something instead of shouting, ok...????
Please come over to my city and test my bike.
I guarantee that none of the stock GS150Rs are capable of climbing over 8500rpm in sixth gear, but my bike climbs that with ease till it redlines at 10,000rpms.

So I challenge anyone on this forum to come to my city and test ride my bike and findout if my bike delivers drastically different performance from the performance of stock GS150R or not.........if my claims are proved absurd I will award that person 5000 rupees.

Anyone up for the challenge ????

                        • mach da,

do you feel vibes above 6500 rpm,

i definitely feel the handle bar vibrates after that RPM. it could be because of loose/misaligned visor. but my bike surely runs out of breath around 8.5k rpm

                              No, its 7900kms by now.

Maestro bhai, you are always welcome I would be happy to install the same on your bike too if you are satisfied with performance of my bike when you would test it.Since you keep a tab on my Facebook profile....you already know something something (but 5K is enough for a challenge, you ask for a crore- ask Suzuki to give you a Hayabusa for free )

Moreover I just said in sixth-gear it redlines, but more than that it redlines and rises up and gets stuck at 11,000rpms in 6th gear wherein I feel it is restricted by CDI,all this on a straight road and while climbing an elevation(not going down it ).The needle don't rise up or gets jerked down either. It sits there until the throttle is eased off.

Its unfortunate that GS owners in Kolkata might not frequent this forum here, otherwise they would have confirmed the same.

The challenge is up even for Suzuki officials(I know they keep a tab on this forum here), if they are interested to test my bike.Because such a tech if made OEM for a production variant can rock the market with some attitude and difference(at price of RTR180 you would get refinement and performance,at the price of Dazzler you would get something totally a league ahead)

@Kirtimannan: No brother, my bike is very refined at any rpms.Even at 120kmph and above, it would feel as if you are sitting in a Volvo luxury coach but amid open air and wind-blasts.I never complained about refinement issue on my bike.........it is always top-notch.

Hence I hate all other bikes which are not upto such levels of refinement and right now there is none, unless the budget exceeds 1.5 Lac rupees.

Also next month I might come to Vizag in Andhra Pradesh with my motorcycling group on a weekend. The South bound GSpians can take a trial of my bike then.I would inform them of my schedule beforehand.

                                Hi Gags83,

I hv bought GS150R from Apple auto on 4th of this month after months long research on 150cc bikes.
And I am happy with this buy. Mine is 440km in ODO and I am getting 58km/lrt.

I am very happy with my decision with going with Suzuki. Apple auto has 2 showrooms in B'lore one beside Devegowda Petrol pump & other one in BTM layout. This people there r good & trustworthy. My suggestion for you is to go to APPLE auto near DG petol pump as its the main showroom & they hv stocks of all colors.

Got the bike for 73000/- after long negotiation..with free Teflon coat, helmet lock + Rs400/- discount. (Dint go for seat cover & tank cover as it will ruin bike's look )

You will get the bike registered from RTO...no need to go urself..Smart card is standard, u'll get it by post. U'll not get the bike same day, b'cos it has to go to RTO , it takes 1 day.
                                All the best
