No. Running in period is the first 1600 kms.

          Thanks
Ok, But i read somewhere that run-in period may extent upto 4-5k of ODO is it so?

No. The only suggestion is to not exceed 10k rpm after 1600 kms.

                  Run-in-period,

Its not a time bomb to set ablast exactly at 1600 kms or 2000 kms,

I would say 4 or 5 k is approx max run-in-period under normal driving condition for most of the two wheelers

If you google for run-in-period you will get run-in details only for the engine.

But bike compraises of many componunts few of them may settled down very early and few other may even need more time to settle down.

For my car they said run-in is 1600 kms but when I ask about mileage they said it will settledown only by +r after 10k on odo.

                  So my words on this

"Don't bother about run-in period now just treat it and drive it normally, run-in period over doesn't mean its time to abuse it"

Go cool use mineral oil keep it fit, and follow the manual.
                  --------------------------------------

My GS is at 11k now and its 16 months old, still am using mineral oil
After switching to motul 15W-50 apart from normal +ve symptoms of motul now my GS engine revs good and not getting much heated after traveling 10 or 15 kms, its cooler than earlier and gets cool down earlier.

                  questions
                  1. like in cars do we have the good rev range (RPM range for better mileage) ?

Today I noticed this as I travelled little more tonight.

With pillon rider the low beam hits straight at the opposite vehicle, but with out pillon rider its hitting normally on the road that's just 10 feet away from the bike, seems its applicable to all bikes what you say guyzzzz.

All LED's are compatible with A/C current but it won't withstand the range of power that comes on A/C while you cross 3000 rpm

If the pilot lamps are connected to D/C ( I have done it by taking a line from the rear tail lamp power line) the LED's will work well I have used led's ranging from 20 to 200 and all are working well.

There are fake products which looks like original but won't last longer.

Chinese even manufactured fake roles Royce car

2)got the varying idle Rpm fixed up, svc mech just adjusted the idle rpm wit tachometer . the bike was ok for week and a half but the problem came back to haunt me again when i went for my longest drive of 15km (till now).
when i put her in garage the idle rpm was between 2 and 2.5 . wit varying noises(clinging noise) and fuel tank vibrating thereby sensing the movement of piston in the cylinder by touching the tank itself .

                          3) checked the mileage through R-R method it was just 37 .
37 is understandable due to prob no 2, havenot crossed 45km/h till now .

                          4) going to SVC for regular first service tis week. my svc told me tat he uses castrol oil , would they entertain oil from customer???

Done wit the first service wit 290 on odo.

                          1) was very much sad to hear that choke was always engaged while riding all these days due to faulty fitting of the carburator from the suzu factory which had led to very low mileage and high idle rpm.
now bit more worried abt the damages to the engine components.

                          2) My visor was damaged at the time of delivery itself, dealer promised to get them replaced soon , a month passed yet to receive them. even salesperson are reluctant and avoiding it. Soluld i complain in suzu website?

3)SVC convinced me not to change the oil filter and engine oil.

SVC guys were friendly and rectified all the problems

If the choke is engaged or the rpm is varying again, suspect your friends or the children around you; not the factory.

In future, make sure that the choke is properly disengaged before you start your ride.

Approach the workshop manager or engineer for visor replacement. The mechanics cannot replace anything without his consent.

Most of the GS owners are changing the oil between 750-1000 kms.

These LEDs may be another Rolls-Royce from China or our USA.
