Have you guys utilized the sticker offer, they put a lable behind one side of the motul bottle sticker, you can find the bulge on the lable peal off the lable to find the offer sticker what ever the amount mentioned is the discount price.

On old motul bottles the offer lable is inside the motul bottle it may struck at the bottem of the bottle, after transfering oil to your bike take out the offer lable (safely placed inside a polythine cover) give it to the dealer and get the specificed amount as cash back.

    Enjoy your ride.

Well bro I drive in ECO mode and only touched 80 2-3 times but always below 70.
Even then I am getting 45-46.
But yeah a couple of things Madhu pointed out might be true in my case

Let me tell few factors that affects mileage.

        # Driving style
        * Using clutch more often

        * Unknowing using clutch

        * Unknowingly pressing back break while driving.

        * Using clutch to increase speed rapidly

        * Usage of accelerator (should increase speed gradually no vrooom vroom vrooom style)

        # Driving condition.

        * Optimum mileage achiving speed can't be maintained on pothole and uneven surface so called road.

        * slow moving traffic condition along with so many speed breakers and as many as signals, typical indian city.

        # Rider, pillon rider / load

        * your weight + pillon rider or the load (things) you carry does matters and plays vital role on mileage.

        * example bike weight 140 kg + avg weight of rider 75 kg + pillon rider 65 kg + loads 25 kg
        Total weight 300 kg

Under ARAI testing bike mileage was tested with 140 kg + 65 kg rider so with 215 kg they achived 65 kmpl on test drive in long ride on clean neat highway.

        # parking, maintainace nad fueling station..

        * parking in direct sunlight or in a place where the temperature is high cost fuel at least by 1 or 2 kms if you do that daily.

        * on petrol tank if space occupied by fuel is lesser than the space occupied by air will contribute more to petrol evoporation.

        * maintaince doesn't meant only wash and make her shine, hope most of you know much on how it impacts the vehicle perfromance and mileage
Example chain slackness, periodic carb cleaning etc....

        * At the max try to reduce the refuling frequency (I mean fuel it once by filling the tank wiht more petrol (either full tank or maintain 10 ltr in tank)

        * Most of us know the petrol bunk thiefs who feed less petrol but petrol bunk meter shows correct reading.

        * At most try to fuel at one bunk always and make sure that bunk gives correct quantity and quality petrol. (Most of the company owned bunks are good)
        Madhu ,

        Very well put
In my case during tight corners or very very slow moving traffic I tend to use a little clutch in 2nd gear.(If i dont use clutch the bike will stall since 2nd gear is very short)
I am following full tank-reserve-full tank method and using a very reliable shell petrol bunk.
Have a very good office parking space.

        • I too face the same problem. When i drive in 2nd gear @ 10-15 km/hr i use the clutch, which if i don't use stalls the bike.

                      • Here is my method of modification-Part 1 of 2

                        1. At first time when we opened the coil assembly, i had noticed that one end of the coil is given directly to RR unit and other end is Grounded inside the coil itself and then it is given to RR unit(for example: as Shown in below picture)

Note: sorry for the poor image

                        2. Usually most of us knew that RR unit has a bridge rectifier which requires Full AC cycle(sinusoidal wave) to attain the full function of the bridge rectifier

                        3. According to the stock design, only Half cycle of AC is given to the RR unit
So this give half function of the rectifier due to the internal ground of one end(as shown in the below picture).

                        4. So what i did is just disconected the internal ground in the coil and then both the line from the coil is given to the RR unit directly, so the function is a true full wave bridge rectifier(as shown in the below picture)

as for now part 1 is over, i will update the part 2 in following post

Foot note: If any thing wrong here i apologize

The negative terminal of the coil is not directly connected to the RR but is grounded to the body of the bike.

The other end is connected to the half wave rectifier in the RR and then the DC from the RR to the battery.

RR of almost all the bikes is of this nature and that is why we use RR which has bridge rectifier to convert it to full DC.

Anyway but you need to disconnect the internal ground to get Full AC cycle then only we can have the benefit of Full wave bridge rectifier

If with the half wave output from the coil is give to a full wave bridge rectifier means then how can we get the full function of the rectifier?

We have to disconnect the grounded end of the coil from the stator plate and connect it to the RR to make it full wave. But it is not possible in our stock RR as its rectifier is half wave.

What I said is that the earth connection of the coil is not connected to the RR but to the body of the bike. Here, both of us are correct. Please go on.
