Hate IBay's SC @ hyd ...
went for my first servicing .. enquired abt my specific engine oil .. dey weere adamant dat if i use any other oil except the one from SC it would void my guarantee .. i argued a lot but all in vain .... gave my byk and started returning .. donno why i returned to talk to the SC guy again .. but i was shocked with astonishment .. one of the SC guy made a big visible scratch on my silencer cover ... wen i asked dem dey started fightin with me saying dat i did it

!!! took my byk straight away .. pretty dissapointed with the issue and attitude of IBays SC guys .. dey proudly say dey hav been working for 4 yrs .. who gives a damn !!!

I totally agree. On the GS cruising at 100 is a pleasure. But even in the city, I mean the western express highway, I started wishing I had a dirt bike. The roads are full of depressions and bumps good enough to throw you off your bike at 100kmph.With great Power(and Torque) comes great responsibility.

dude i almost reached 3k and waiting to do second service but today only changed engine oil after some slow ride to allow oil circulation i went for this speed.Originally posted by BLITZ View PostI totally agree. but i started to feel whether it could have damaged my engine ?
as i rode my last bike TVS Victor and engine prob came and smoke started coming which will make oil exhaust.Rides: HH SPl (2000-2005) | TVS Vic GLX (2005-2010) | S GS150 R (Current)

If I get you correctly you have almost completed 3K on your ODO. You changed the engine oil, let the engine warm up and then went for the fast ride.Originally posted by rajesh1136 View Postdude i almost reached 3k and waiting to do second service but today only changed engine oil after some slow ride to allow oil circulation i went for this speed.

I think that wont do any harm to your engine. You completed your break-in at 1600Kms, changed engine oil twice(for the 1st service and now), gave the engine time to warm up(which is very important). You dont need to worry about your engine then.
its good!

Thanks MSN for pointing that out!!!Originally posted by MSN1 View PostEarlier i believed my bike is not consistent in terms of mileage
decided to buy petrol on can's
Its hard to believe that most of the Bangalore petrol bunks are not putting even 40 % of the fuel if you go for 300 Rupees
Please refer thread
http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/113...nks-news9.html
I was going through the same thread and I saw the below post....will be useful for Bangaloreans...
Please share your experiences with petrol bunks, so that we can categorise them and be little careful....Originally posted by samschenker View Postit is very much true, this hapens in bangalore.....
two pumps i always avaoid for this reason are,
1. The IOC pum just coming out of Marathalli entering old airport road (before the signal), realised they cheated me when i reached home.
2. The HP pump in BTM water tank signal, caught the attendent medling with the reading changing it mannualy to 60Rs even before he started to fill fuel
try not to get distractted with all non-sense they talk with you, if there are two attendents in the same booth be extra careful dont let them distract you, they try to loot every single penny they can.
One fuel pump i felt too good(Apart from few shell retailers) with service & quality is Matt's fuel pump just next to cosmos mall after AECS layout. I was more surprised when i saw the petrol price to be 40paise less than anywhere else in Bangalore.
A wild guess... could these rusting that most of GS owners experience occur because of these low quality/ adulterated petrol......

But I don't understand!!! Assume I am taking a 3 litre can, if they are mending with the machine..... then even in the can we should get only 40% of the 3 litre in can also right?? or they do some tweaking while pouring petrol for distracted customers alone????Originally posted by MSN1 View PostThis is happening almost in every Petrol Bunk.... got a solution

I remember reading a post that says one of our friend filled the tank and it took 20+ litres of petrol instead of 15.5L as mentioned in manual..... I am wondering, if that pertol bunk has to put 20+ L petrol for a 15.5 capacity tank
???? What do you feel???

Mileage
Guys, recently I have changed my rear tyre to ceat vertigo 100/90 as I have to ride in lots of mud during the rainy season. The zapper y was pathetic in mud. It was good in tarmac though. Till now I am very happy with the new tyre. Anyone thinking of changing tyre should consider ceat too. I have clocked 3600kms on the odo and has completed 2nd service. Last time I checked I got an astounding average of 71. To check it first I filled my tank to the brim and rode for some 210kms. The tank was full at 2.99 ltrs when revisited the bunk. I would check it again in a few days and keep you guys posted. Raj.
