its suzuki or bajaj or HH in most of the SC ppl used to take petrol but they wont agree (thief wont came forward and Agree and accept his fault)

lets leave the bike at SVC with less than 1 Ltr hmm
From next time i'll keep the petrol level as low as possible..
I thought the people at airport road suzuki were trustable so i used to give my bike with 3-5 lts in the tank..

      • Hi all i am Aditya new to xbhp now i hope evrybody can guess why i am here yes planning to get my 1st bike i have no experience with bike though i have been riding my dad's honda eterno for past 3 yrs to my college. But now since i got through PG now i am going to buy a GS Or Uni next month.

Though my heart says GS but have some queries that can be answered by fellow GS owner's

        1) Now my weight is around 60kg and 6 feet and 1 inches tall so will GS be good.since people say that gs is 150kg i have handled enterno but it is 130kg max and i can say i don't have any issues with it while moving without starting.

        2) i read few posts earlier regarding the rust issue with the tank which i am concerned.

        3) Also i have seen some people complain about the mileage deteriorating after few months.how true is this?

        4) i have never ridden a bike since my parents had some issues with that earlier and after they saw me riding for past 3 yrs my dad's eterno they have got the confidence. But i wanted know how is the whole gearbox system of GS will it be difficult for me to adapt. Also there have been some people complaining about the Tires as well.

I am not a racer i like to cruise and mileage is important and also the bike will be driven mostly in expressway and daily commuting of 50-60km so is it the gs good for long rides and how is the comfort level for some one who is is 6 feet+ in height.

Also Cost Delhi is around 62,500 inclusive of everything.
I was thinking about CB twister as well but i don't want to go back to 100 CC class since being already ridden 150CC i want to sustain it also didn't like CB Twister when i saw it don't know why.Pulsar is a big NO for me every 2nd person has it and after some 25k kms it gives issues high maintainence this is what i came to know from my friend who owns it.

Now as usual the Point comes is Honda Unicorn is good in terms of engine etc but with current scene lacks a lot of features that are now common. Also Honda Service is bad owning Honda for so many years with i have both Activa and Eterno the SVC is bad they service is itself like mass production Quality of spares parts have dropped had to replace my clutch plates 3 times in less than a year and last service was also told again Clutch plate has gone.

Though honda has service center very close hardly 15 min on the other hand GS has 2 service center like 30 min from my house. But that is not a big issue unless the bike performs well

        65K is budget not more.

p.s Sorry for such a long post but first bike so have queries that are extended.

It's a nice decision bro. I'm a proud owner of GS for the last 4 months. Its true that many have complained about rusting tanks and inconsistent mileages. But all of them have been replaced with fresh tanks. So don't worry about it. Next the mileage part initially during their running in period everyone will be careful but after getting used to bike everyone tends to drive a little care free. I think its the main reason why some are getting inconsistent mileages.
At present in 150 CC category GS is the best all rounder and better value for money product. Don't hesitate just go for it, you wont regret.

thanx can you tell me i have seen that there are two models i think 2009 and 2010.

So are the above issues with 2009 model only? Also i heard the tires are a issue and tend to have less grip.

Also is the weight be a big issue since i have handled 130kg Scooter not much fuss but GS is a little bit on higher side.

And also i actually rode my friend;s TVS apache rtr 180. And didn't like it much just because that i had to bend my knees too much to get the gears going it is almost like a ladder against the wall to slant position.

Though i did handle it well in the gears it was running but changing gears i had some issues looked few times below since i couldn't actually get my toe below properly and brake as well same thing didn't actually feel the breaks were touching my legs so had to watch couple of times :P

incomparison t this is GS a little bit higher since i am 6 feet and Apache looked small and pretty light than my eterno.

Now all are 2010 models and coming with new graphics. Yes There is no issues in 2010 models. Whatever reported in 2009 models were rectified in 2010 models.

Tyres are good in Tarmac and it is good in cornering also. But ppl say its not giving much grip in wet roads and if you riding off road then you need to change to better tyre.

Tyres shd not be a issue. If you get a good bike you always change tyres according to your riding conditions.

GS having best riding comfort. Im almost 6 and i ride 40-50 kms daily in this bike i never felt tiring. riding postion along with its good shock absorbers this bike is awesome.

Gear lever is uniquely designed. You can use one lever to down shift as well as upshift or both lever.

Its great bike. Just go for it. Dont think too much.

It seems like a good idea to fill petrol in cans too, if u have to use other pumps.

That is nice but it will be on higher side in terms of cost with Still Oil subsidies not phased out completely once that happens these players will have more role to play.Due to this Reliance had huge issues when it opened up it's Stations

by the way what is the Cost of per litere petrol.

Since nothing has been opened in Delhi till now let's see.
