I had grey in mind, but there was only one piece with some massive scratches on the front mudguard. Though the SR people said they will replace the mudguard I was not convinced. Then I saw 10 black ones from the latest lot just arrived. Other colors from the older lots. So I went for black.

Guys i can see my engine oil bubbling after I ride for some few minutes. Is it because of the Jet Cooling System or is anything wrong.
With great Power(and Torque) comes great responsibility.

        • Congrads BLITZ... Enjoy your ride... BTW I heard that you are a professional photographer. So do upload your professional snaps of your buddy [i mean.... your GS]

Guys I think i did a blunder today at the petrol bunk. I went to a BP bunk near my office waiting at a long Q.. There was a station for 2stroke bike where the petrol comes with oil mixed.... Seeing the long Q I went to the 2 stroke station, The guy there did tell me that it is not for 4Strokes... but still another guy comes resets the oil to ZERO and filled my tank... Just for Rs100... will there be any specs of oil in the tube?? will it affect my engine in any way... ???... Today morning I saw blue smoke from an Unicorn silencer...I was thinking that It could be a poorly maintained engine... Will this blue smoke come from my GS also... since I filled in that station. ???... Any help ???

          • ^^^ mostly there wouldn't be any engine oil left in the pertol pipe by the time you have filled in as the engine oil is released much before the petrol filling finishes so that it mixes well in the tank. Shouldn't be an issue.

Read some unpleasant things of engine oil bubbling in car engines. Guys I'm getting a little anxious now. Any help??

Not sure what is happening in your engine but I guess you are reporting this from what you see from the oil level check window. Now, is the oil level okay? or by any chance is it more or less than required?

More oil in the engine can cause froth. That is not good. Oil does boil but shouldn't boil so easily to the levels of bubling. How is the colour? It it is really boiling it would have got spoiled by now.

If you want to be safer, change your engine oil. As such it is good if you change the engine oil at abt 100 KMs on the odo.

mostly its the jet cooling system(which suzuki doesnt mention anywhere surprisingly ). if it was bajaj they might have even made an ad about it by now

but i've never checked the bubbles. i'll go for a ride in 30 min and reply later

oh i almost forgot, congrats on ur new bike, try not to zip during running in

                    update:
went for a 4km ride. there was one line of small bubbles on the top. nothing to worry about i guess.

                      Bubbling with the engine ON/OFF?

With the engine ON, every bike's engine oil bubbles. It is the oil pump sucking in oil.

If it is with the engine OFF, its foaming due to excess oil, and is a bad sign.

If the bubling comes immediately after a ride and goes in 3-5 minutes, then nothing's wrong... If it persists for hours, then you should be worried. I just happened to read a thread which might be useful to you. Check this out, this guy has a Suzuki SV650 and gets bubbles in the oil window

Yes, in the morning, on a cold engine and bike held vertical. (Center-stand gives slightly different value)
