Thanks for the correction buddyOriginally posted by abhijeet080808 View PostThe correct word is Cotter Pin!

Jawahar,Originally posted by jawahar View Posthave been commuting on this wonderful creation for a while

and this doubt came in ! is there a difference between the 2 modes in the real sense(eco/pwr)?
i think it only changes the gear shift indicator (white light)!
another doubt is about the gear system, i saw that the bike's speed topped at 90+odd kmph in the 6th gear but could do a 100+odd in the fifth gear ! does that mean that the 6th gear does not improve the top speed ? is it just an overdrive gear to improve the mileage ?
my bike has done 2000kms now (did my first sc @ 750) and i see that the oil has changed black ! now that the runin period is completed , can i change to synthetic ?? if yes, which 1 ?

the sc guy @ coimbatore dint do the valve timing adjustment during the first service
, is that a prob ?
srry for such a long post
There is no difference in both the modes. So you can run in the any mode. If you dont want that white light to blink, simply switch to the 3rd mode where neither eco nor power is displayed on the speedo.
The 6th gear is really a boon on the highways. In the city it is not that usefull. BTW the top speed touched till date by me was 120kmph in the 6th gear on the highway.
You have just completed your running-in of the engine,so just hang around 80kmph for say another 1000kms, it will make your ride a little smoother & Stick to the mineral oil as of till around 8k-9k on the odo & then you can change to synthetic oils.
Valve timing change is not done usually done a new bike,so dont worry.
Just enjoy the ride & RIDE SAFE.

try to use all the gear shifts at 5k rpm....that works for all indian bikes to get the max average...The tourer...

It also depends upon your day-to-day running. If you are say running around 60-70kms everyday & on weekends you go on a long ride, then it is useful to switch to synthetic oils, else its best to stick to the normal oils because the synthetic oils are heavy on pocket.

Mileage... i also have issue, before first service mileage was 47kmpl, after first service 32kmpl, got it tuned again now getting 41kmpl, raised an issue with Suzuki itself, now they said they will verify the tuning again, so need to check how much i'll get after that.
But this bike will give more than 50kmpl if properly tuned. Get it tuned from SC

Has anyone done any light mods on GS? In my caliber 115, I switched off pilot + speedo + techo lamps, saving 15W and switched to Osram Silverstar 55/60W. The light was very good for a mod that cost me hardly 175rs. In GS, we can only save 10 W (2 pilot lamps 5W each). All other lights except headlamp are on DC already, so no power shedding is possible.
Can anyone post a circuit diagram for GS (Sarvajit promised, but seems he forgot!)? I spotted a Zeus circiut diagram framed in big size in Suzuki SC. Can anyone click a pic of such GS circuitry, so that we can requiest the techies on the forum to guide us further?

IMHO please change to LED's for pilot lamps & make DC.
What is the battery size in your bike ?? I guess that is the easiest you can do.
If u can accomodate space then change over to bigger size battery like 9ah from Amaraon
Coil rewinding & changing Rectifier & all is a tedious job & not advisable for new bike.sigpicAll India Permit 1+1

Then go ahead & make DC with 55/60w Bulb mate.. I guess their wont be any problems.. actually you can change the rectifier to help increase the battery charging rate but I think the current set up with 9ah battery would work well cos one of my friend is using 60w DC with 9ah battery on his UNI & not much problem with his bike..Originally posted by animeher View Post@abhilashabhi12: The battery is already 9AH. Does this info help in improving the headlight power?
PS - Is GS150R comes with 9AH stock or U replaced the stock with this ?
What is the stock battery size in GS150R ??sigpicAll India Permit 1+1
