  • My bike seems to have a new problem now.
when i ride at 15km/h i can hear some squeak squeak sound from the front wheel area. it feels like the wheel is getting more loose everytime.
when i ride at 20-25 the squeaks are more frequent.
above 25 i cant notice because of the bike's engine sound.
is it something serious or can it wait 2 weeks when i'm going to give for 2nd service ??

Congrads Krishnakumarunni on your bike.... You should complain to Suzuki India and get parts replaced as soon as possible....
Reg the back brake.. you need to get used to the front discs. the combined effort of both are really good and till now I have not faced any kind skidding problem at any hard braking...
Ya someties even I feel the heat of the engine on my foot.... I dont mind those as the other better aspects gets these problem un-noticed

i dont think mine is from the disc. the sound is like some screw getting loose. and i asked because i'm scared the wheel will detach in the middle of the road
it might have happened after i rode through rain, there was a bad pot hole, couldnt notice and my front wheel went straight in, was pretty bad.

check for the safety pin on the front wheel joint...the bold can only open up if that pin is missing....better safe than sorry.....

                  Falcon,
Go to the service centre & ask them to check your front weel completely, like wheel bearing & clean the disc & the disc pads.It will solve the problem. The reason am asking you to get the wheel bearing checked is that you went through a bad pot hole & this might have given a jerk to it.

There is no pin or what mechanics call "Quarter pin" in GS. GS & all the new bike have a self tightening screw & does not require this pin.Am sure your Gladiator might also not have it.So you need not worry about it.

                    • Sound from the Disk brakes is common, but cannot be heard when you are actually riding. You can hear a sneak sound when you manually rotate the wheel. Get it checked, if its making more noise.
Whenever I apply brakes in GS, I get some brushing (rubbing) sound from the disk, which was not the case with my old pulsar. And also i observed that front disk brakes behaves like ABS under hard braking (I know ABS is not there in GS), feels like brakes are self controlled and behaves like apply-release-apply-release, whatever it is the bike is under 100% control even on hard braking at around 80kmph speed.

thanks for your replies. the screws around front wheel seem fine.
i think some bearing is broken
would i have to pay if they change it ???
i dont feel apply release effect in the front disc, but it doesnt lock like pulsars discs so its good. i use disc most of the time, even for slowing down and all.

The correct word is Cotter Pin!
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

have been commuting on this wonderful creation for a while and this doubt came in ! is there a difference between the 2 modes in the real sense(eco/pwr)? i think it only changes the gear shift indicator (white light)!

another doubt is about the gear system, i saw that the bike's speed topped at 90+odd kmph in the 6th gear but could do a 100+odd in the fifth gear ! does that mean that the 6th gear does not improve the top speed ? is it just an overdrive gear to improve the mileage ?

my bike has done 2000kms now (did my first sc @ 750) and i see that the oil has changed black ! now that the runin period is completed , can i change to synthetic ?? if yes, which 1 ?

the sc guy @ coimbatore dint do the valve timing adjustment during the first service , is that a prob ?

srry for such a long post

the 6th gear is for making the ride smooth n will definitely give you a bit more top speed rating....ya the mileage point is also true....
