too much vibes ? it hardly vibrates !! except 3.5k, and thats how much other bikes normally vibrate so dont expect better from other bikes.Originally posted by vensan View Posthi all,
im back after 4000km in my ODO......SORRY...im not satisfied with my bike....too much vibes.....roughness......less pick up(in low speed/gear.)....rust allover my bike....im going to sell my bike....itz 3 months old..4000km done.....how much i can expect?
rust- parts can be replaced if u complain to ur SC.
roughness- even i feel it becomes little louder after 5km of little rash riding.
dont know why so no comments.
may be due to less or bad oil. even i'm trying to figure out why.
less pick up- accelerate upto 4.5k in lower gears too. its fine.

OMG
... This bike dosen't deserve these comments... Man ! It glides on the road like butter... It has a pretty descent pickup.... I 've done 5100 in the odo the bike is getting smoother and smoother... I bet this will definitely match the refinement of UNI after 10K in the odo... I'm satisfied with 45-48 Kmpl on harsh driving conditions[I drive in IT highway in chennai at 70-80Kmph during 9:30am peak hour traffic]
@rust issue... Get help from Vishal on approaching Suzuki to get parts replaced... You might as well get the bike itself replaced like one or two who got it... Now-a-days I hardly wipe my bike and we had monsoon rains in chennai last week. I had no rust issues till now... My bike stands in rain all night...

I totally disagree with your comments. The 3.5km vibes is because of the engine resonance & all the bike have it like Saravjit has mentioned. The bike will respond to your throttle if you give it at the right time & in the correct gear.I have done traffic signal drags on my GS & it has never let me down.
The roughness in the engine may be due to the engine oil. After how many kms do you do an oil change?
Usually an oil change has to be done in 1500-2000kms of the ride & change the oil filter every alternate oil change. You bike will be smoother as you keep riding.
Regarding the other issues, you can speak to the SVC guys & they will surely clear all your issues & even are some left, write to Suzuki Delhi & inform them about the issues & mention that the SVC guys are unable to resolve it.
Should you need any further help please feel free to PM & I will be glad to help you out.
Cheers
Vishal

Good to know! They say by correct riding 80% of the problems can be avoided.Originally posted by BLITZ View PostI ride in the ECO mode. I use the blink light to up shift, and the precise 3.5k RPM vibes as downshift indicators, ie. I ride between 3.5k and 4.5k RPM. In the morning I idle for about a minute, then slowly start. I always use the kick except when on signals.
Btw, you don't need to use the kickstarter that often, except for cold starts, like every morning etc. Rest of the time using the buttonstarter is fine.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Unicorn comes standard with 7ah battery & My freind has changed it with 9ah Amaron.. see if u r bike is able to generate enough power to keep your battery charged then thier will be no problem what so ever.Originally posted by animeher View PostI don't think just connecting the headlight to the battery is good. Read other thread by Abhijeet where he and others gave inputs on this. You need to have a circuit in place to avoid discharging the battery. Unicorn's battery is 5AH and not 9AH (to the best of my knowledge), has your friend modified it?
Converting to DC isnt a big deal nor a simple task either - You need to get in touch with a good mechanic who is well versed with bike electrical, I am sorry I don't have much idea about how to convert them in to DC.
If you can accomodate a place for 9ah please do that as your battery capacity will be more hence your chances of dead battery will be less.
Thier is no harm in trying, If you feel like battery is draining quicker you can change the pilot lamps to LED's since it consumes very less power.sigpicAll India Permit 1+1

i bought it 2 months ago.Originally posted by Balajii.S View PostDid anyone buy GS150R in last 1 or 2 months & have rust issue? A guy in ABT Chennai told me that the latest loads should not have rust issue. But wanted to get it confirmed before buying one.
the tank is fine till now.
just some minor parts which weren't painted properly on the frame and foot rest rusted a bit. it was repainted.
and handle bar gap near the grip was changed and painted to prevent rusting again.

Hi everyone, converting a Uni to DC, here's a thread Shreeni has done it, pls read this fully and u will get an idea of what to do.
There are other threads on batt charge boosting for HID usage
The basic electricals are almost same in AC/DC bikes, so you will get enough tips from these threads.
I was one of the victims of HID batt issues but later on adopted a good method from these discussions
So GoodluckDo it Yourself, what so ever, if Possible
