copy of feed back posted in suzuki site but one by one due 1000word restriction
I purchased this bike on april 24th,from then mileage is not good, getting 40+ current before it is less than 40kmpl,I also write here before and don't get reply, when i contact my sub dealer as well as main dealer Puducherry, their solution is pathetic, they ask me how i check mileage? as all bike manufacture tell check mileage from reserve to reserve,The service center manager tell me to check mileage using full tank then fill it again after 100 to 150km run again to know accurate mileage

,also tell me due to bad tank design, u may get error in reserve to reserve calculation, that means reserve to reserve knob is useless in suzuki

,but when i check ith other people who got consistent mileage of 50+,they calculate using reserve to reserve only,I have previously pulsar dtsi model 2003 annd sell it after get feed back from suzuki gs 150R owers about 50+ mileage,But my pulsar return me good mileage for 6 years consistent 52+ in city and 65kmpl in highway,i feel bad by irresponsible answers without doing anything(i mean fine tune my carburator or value clearance, i fineshed 3rd service currently odo is 5300Km.I request you to look on this mater and arrange the SC to fine tune by bike to get good mileage...

Hi Friends,
i am going 2 buy a bike next month and after doing a comparative study of Suzuki gs 150,Honda Unicorn, Baja Pulsar,TVS Apache, hh hunk, and cbz extreme decided in favor of Suzuki gs 150.
But recently a Friend using this bike from last 8 months reported a drop in millage from 55-60 to 40-45 and suggested to go for Honda Unicorn, some people say that this is a common problem with all Suzuki engines.
Is this an isolated case or true for all Suzuki bikes? Kindly respond as your feedback will help me decide. Thanks in Advance

OMG ... This bike dosen't deserve these comments... Man ! It glides on the road like butter... It has a pretty descent pickup.... I 've done 5100 in the odo the bike is getting smoother and smoother... I bet this will definitely match the refinement of UNI after 10K in the odo... I'm satisfied with 45-48 Kmpl on harsh driving conditions[I drive in IT highway in chennai at 70-80Kmph during 9:30am peak hour traffic]
@rust issue... Get help from Vishal on approaching Suzuki to get parts replaced... You might as well get the bike itself replaced like one or two who got it... Now-a-days I hardly wipe my bike and we had monsoon rains in chennai last week. I had no rust issues till now... My bike stands in rain all night.

Congrats on your new bike.
Mileage... i also have issue, before first service mileage was 47kmpl, after first service 32kmpl, got it tuned again now getting 41kmpl, raised an issue with Suzuki itself, now they said they will verify the tuning again, so need to check how much i'll get after that.
But this bike will give more than 50kmpl if properly tuned. Get it tuned from SC
mathewsyriac-:
Even my mileage is very poor around 32kmpl...
Should take it to SC

Nandanam. Apart from that i didn't find any issues. I am ok with mileage too 52+ kmpl. Kindly help me with the required information. A big "Sorry"

Ask ABT guys about the tank...
To my experience, ABT is not that great now a days... No proper response at all...
If u too feel the same, contact Mr. Kalyan @ SMK Porur. He is most recommended by Mr. Vinod Natrajan

Filled the 1 liter petrol, reset the Trip Meter B to Zero, went to petrol bunk put in 14 Liters of Petrol. The trip Meter was showing 817 when the bike completely stopped.
Reported the rusting of fuel tank. A new tank has been ordered and it will take two weeks for the same. Apart from the tank no other issues. Wish suzuki comes out with better bikes since they also manufacture Hayabusa.
Hi all.
I am new on Xbhp. Love to tour.
I own a GS after Victor GL.
Getting mileage of 52-60 (in city 52-55, highway 58-60) from my GS at usual speed of 40-70 in city and 70-100 on highway
Hello Everyone,
I am getting around 37-40 kms as FE, before 1st service i was getting 50. Is this drop normal
Last time i had to take my bike to SC since the battery overflowed a little;the drainage pipe for the acid was short and a few drops fell down on a nut and chassis. They changed the pipe with longer one and also replace the nut.
When i asked them about my FE, the mechanic said that there needs to some setting to be done for better FE but it will take atleast an hour.
Since i had to go to office i said i would have it done during 2nd Service.
Now my 2nd Service will be due in 1st week of Nov, should i ask them to carry out mileage test in front of me (they charge some 35 bucks extra in normal paid dunno if they charge in free service also )
Guys,
Please advise how should i take this issue up with SC especially the Pune guys who have brought their bikes from Swargate..
Also can anyone please elaborate about the settings the mechanic was speaking about
I am thoroughly happy with my bike except for the FE issue.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
As u see the last sentence same for me too sir, except mileage problem everything is fine for me....
I hope this is enough to understand, my feelings, since everyone told me suzuki and honda good bike but except service, ignore their words and i buy this bike....
I also have maruthi suzuki baleno which return good mileage 14km in city and 18-19 in highway....ABDUL KHADAR

thats it ??? only 20 days.Originally posted by krazyguyind View Postit will take atmost 15 to 20 days for smart card, since i got the smart card in 20 days from KR PURAM RTO
i bought my bike 2.5 months ago and still no call from the showroom to collect the rc smart card.
and for all the people reporting bad mileage
i suggest you try shell normal petrol.( its 30paise more than other bunks)
and this may sound weird but ride at higher rpm like 4-5k.
even i was getting 40 before when i used to ride at 3k and fill BP petrol.
now i get 50-52. i even accelerate to 40 as fast as possible, not slowly either.
and my bike hasnt been tuned or anything.
but it is pretty rough and loud after engine gets hot.(riding 5km)

when bike goes to reserve i make the trip b to 0.
fill petrol usually within next 2 days,
wait for reserve again and check trip b reading.
even SC people asked me to check r 2 r for correct reading, and the full tank method seems like a weird way to check.
even if tank design was bad the reserve method would work fine.
only disadvantage would be that the reserve capacity may be different from what they mentioned or some part may be unusuable.
i suggested shell because i thought shell normal petrol would have higher octane than BP and may be gs150 needs high octane petrol to run efficiently. this is just my opinion.
have you tried premium fuels ??

Hi Friends,
I dont know how to describe this. Yesterday i took my bike for service to ABT SUZUKI @ Nandanam around 9:30 am. It was raining here in Chennai for past 3-4 days. When i reached the Service centre there was no queue becoz of rain and i am the only one stood there for servicing my bike. All of a sudden one Gentleman approached me and asked me about the bike's problems. I was telling what all i feel problem about the bike and finally told him about the Tank neck rust issue. Immediately he took a torch and examined the tank neck part and inside carefully and told the SC Guys to replace the tank. And i told him about the 3.5k to 4k rpm vibrations. He asked one of his to crew to sit with me to go for a ride. We went for about 2 kms and he reported that he too feel the vibrations in the foot rest and in the seat too. He noted that and told me everything will be rectified when i come for taking delivery. He enquired with the staff there about the new tank but they said they dont have spares but within 10 days they will replace. Then i asked one of the crew about him. They said He is Mr. VINOD NATARAJAN, Suzuki South Head. They told me that i am lucky to be attended by Mr. Vinoth Himself. When I go for taking delivery to my very surprise they have change the tank with a new one taken from the stock bike as insisted by Mr. Vinoth. Also i feel the vibrations very negligible in the 3.5k to 4k rpm. I take this oppurtunity to Thank Mr. Vinoth Natarajan and his Suzuki Team for their invaluable Customer Care. But above all I should thank Our XBHP team for their support and guidance to every GSians. Thank you once again Team XBHP.
PS: Really sorry for a big post as i cant control myself in writing this. Hope you guys will understand and forgive me.
