Don't worry too much about mileage until 3rd service. If you are too concerned about it, just ask the SC guys to test the mileage of your bike.

    Happy riding.
Hey Joey, yes i have calculated the mileage as you said in above. i will ask this with SC guys.. Then by the by im not ragav.

      Oops my bad.

Anyways I believe GS will return a consistent mileage of around 50 if driven well, so don't worry, just enjoy ur ride mate.

          Wow one more GS owner.

Lately i have been seeing more GS on roads. Yesterday i saw 3 GS on my way to college. Thats the highest so far. But i saw 3 unicorns from just one junction to another . All were ridden by people around 25 years. After seeing third i stopped counting.

Many still dont know about GS .

Check the odometer, overall look of the bike for scratches, check all the electricals, switches etc...

Jain Suzuki is OK... beware of a guy with long white hair in first floor

            happy buying

Hi siva... I think you are talking about the elderly guy with specs and long hair... even I bore the brunt of meeting the long haired fellow first in the showroom.... The other young chap who sits in the room is good... I have a good rapport with him.... Today morning when I went there he recognized me and took my bike for service himself...
So Joey take care when you book the bike...

LOL, its actually good for us.
more heads turn toward our bike and the SC people will take better care since there are fewer bikes to service

                • hey, about the free service camp,

what all should we ask for ??
and what all do they actually check in the bike as routine ?

Will they change the regulator for all bikes or should we convince them to change it ?

                    Hi Anup,

Just Think about it this way..... U always see a lot of Maruthi 800's and other normal cars on road. But U don't see a lot of ferrari's or lambo's. This gives us a feeling of exclusivity.....so just enjoy it.

                      • First Service

Hii guys, got my bike after first service. They changed oil and filter. Must say this, i definitely felt a difference. Revving is free and engine braking has reduced. Chain needed a little tightening. From the sound of engine i think the mileage will go up. Responsiveness of 3 rd and 4th gears are worth mentioning. Picks up to 60 very quickly. Or did they just tuned for power? Dont know yet!

1st and 2nd second gears need to be a little more responsive.

I have been thinking of this for some time. Stunters usually change their sprocket to one with more teeth to make it more torquee. Since our GS is equipped with 6th gears, will a two tooth increase in rear sprocket help in low end performance. I dont mind sacrificing high end performance. Actually in my area speeding over 80 is just suicidal.

Sure Augustine. I have spoken with one Mr.Kumar there, he was friendly with me when I went for the test drive. I have contacted him and told him to be there when I come to book.

                          Hopefully all will go well.

I have mixed feelings on that. First seeing more GS on road means people have begun to acknowledge GS. Second my bike is becoming less unique.

In college, Im getting more attention than those with Karizma ZMA, FZ or P 220 ( But ZMR is star now, No NINJA yet). Those with ZMR are like celebrities. Many more are waiting anxiously since the delivery time is around 4 month here( Thrissur, Kerala).

I drive from Leela Palace to MG road, office commute
Go around the city once in while. Just makes sure about 4.5 RPM
and smooth riding. No sudden moves.

                              On Free roads maintaining 60kmph
Guys how much mileage drop do you think at 65 -70

                              I guess
                              60kmph - 55+ kmpl
                              65-70kmph - 50+ kmpl
                              70-75kmph - 45+ kmpl

                              Any experiences on this?
Its ok to go at 5-5.5RPM after 1000K on ODO right?

The mileage drop isnt that severe with respect to speed,
i touch 80 atleast twice a day(airport road) and accelerate upto 70-75 on any road with less traffic.

I touched 5.5k rpm after 800km itself, the manual mentions 4.5k for 800km not 1000km,
                                and below 6.5k till 1600km i think.
