Mate, We might be able to help you with your query but I can not comprehend what you mean by Firing? In a multi-cylinder engine, there is a firing order, but in most of the Indian bikes including your GS150R is a single cylinder bike, so cant figure out what you exactly mean by firing. Please paraphrase it and am sure you with be bombarded with the answers.Originally posted by erbalaji View PostIts not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!

Difference between Suzuki GS 150 R 2009 and 2010 models
Guys,
I have heard that there are some major differences between the GS 2009 and 2010 models. Have any of you guys heard about it? Yesterday a guy at the petrol bunk told me that the 2010 models have a smaller tank and doesn't appear as big as the 2009 models... Is it true? or is it just a rumour?.. I have also heard that there is a change in the regulator type and the batteries. Owners of the 2010 models pls clarify. If this is true pls let me know..thksLast edited by spacetech; 02-16-2010, 03:27 PM..::<<Never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly>>::.

I think this is true, because even on my top speed attempts with pillion, the max I touched was 107 KMPH!Originally posted by BLITZ View PostBut the sad part is that, with a pillion I could only touch 107Km/H. No matter what, the bike doesn’t go beyond that.
BTW guys, I thought a GS travelogue would fetch good response in the best travelogue contest, but seems GS owners are not interested in seeing the bike perform in touring!

No mate, there isn't any difference in the tanks of the 2 models, the 2010's tank is as huge and the 2009 one. The SC guy told me the rear brake spring is also a newer one in this model, will have to test it and see.Originally posted by spacetech View PostGuys,

Went to the showroom again today to select my bike (2010 model) and gave the photos and address proof for RTO purpose.
Selected one black beauty
. But the Orange one almost made me change my mind, it was really stunning, but I was apprehensive about the durability of lighter colors.
The bike looks awesome and huge in real, the pictures doesn't do justice to the bike.
Will receive the bike tomorrow evening or Friday morning.
Quit tabulating grudges. Let it off. Discuss it, then trash it, don't recycle it.

Well, if I am updated correctly, the battery in the earlier model was from Exide and was of 9amp, which is now being changed to 7amp. Hence from now onwards the newer bikes will sport a 7 amp battery. though am not too hard on this but I will like to see if it is not true. Its not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!

Earlier it was Exide 9amp & now it is sealed(maintainance free) 7amp battery. No change in shape of fuel tank.

Smart card
The showroom guy told me that we can take xerox copy of the smart card and carry it when we ride. It is not necessary to carry the smart card.
Is this true? Guys in Banglore can shed some light on this.Quit tabulating grudges. Let it off. Discuss it, then trash it, don't recycle it.

Thanks for the reply Mate,
I will be giving my ride for the 4th service in a couple of days.. will clarify with the SC guy about any other changes other than the rear brake springs and batteries. Anyway the GS is a masterpiece and so there isn't any need for changes. Everything is just the way it should be..
Congratulations for becoming a GSpian
. I was also confused with the Orange and Black and finally fell for the black (less chance of fading). Anyway good luck with ur purchase and thanks again...

Hello All,
On my third service at Swargate Pune, I changed my regulator to the new one ....got it replaced under warranty..the headlight has drastically improved just by changing the R & R unit.....please note that the new R & R unit has "BA" as the last part of the device code..(older ones have AA)..... I am hunting for the Osram Siverstar bulb in Pune and Mumbai without any success....If anyone has an idea where to find pls PM me or post a reply........ I have filled Nitrogen in both tires and the ride quality is very good but the pick has reduced a little.
Also i have a noticed a issue with my fuel indicator .....it is just blinking even though there is around 5 liters of petrol.....Don't know if my console is faulty or the fuel gauge inside the tank. If anyone has any info pls share.

I did a tank full mileage test as SC told me, really it will test ur and petrol bunk guy patience,It consume 20.5ltr
first time that too after filling it go down , down down, finally 20.5 it comes to brim level. After riding for 222 km again i went to fill to tank full, this time it take some time to fill for 4.21ltr say 5 minutes. So my milage is 222/4.21 =52.7kmpl.

yes some of the GSR reserve knob strangely behave erraytic
.I don't know most of them reported 55plus mileage with reserve to reserve, if their reserve knob working properly why me and some of them like mathew and donarun etc not getting approx R to R.......ABDUL KHADAR
