I still confused b/t grey and blue colour.based upon ur expirence please let me know the best b/t the two(i am white,5.11 and 30 years)

      Thanks,

In my opinion the best option would be a grey one, it looks classy and does show all curves in her body. Blue colour may look childish ( mine is blue)

I did a tank full mileage test as SC told me, really it will test ur and petrol bunk guy patience,It consume 20.5ltr first time that too after filling it go down , down down, finally 20.5 it comes to brim level. After riding for 222 km again i went to fill to tank full, this time it take some time to fill for 4.21ltr say 5 minutes. So my milage is 222/4.21 =52.7kmpl.
yes some of the GSR reserve knob strangely behave erraytic

          • Guys, has anyone purchased engine guard for GS? If so, can you post pictures for it.
The Showroom guys told me it will cost around 200 bucks, but it is really not needed as the engine is vertically mounted. But there was no stock when I went there.

              Joey,

The engine guard & saree guard are not additional accessories. They come with the bike from the company. If the dealer is charging additional for it,then you can write to Suzuki Delhi & tell them about this.

When I purchased my GS,I got both of them with my bike fitted from company.

The showroom guy you spoke with is CRAZY.The guard is to protect the bike from more damages when met with an accident be it vertical engine or horizontal engine.

Why do you need an engine guard? and do you thing that a thin sheet of MS powder coated with black colour is more sturdy than the pressure die casted Al. Engine?

Dont fall for these not-so-wise add ons. They simply add unnecessary weight, hampers the air flow and looks disgusting too.

He to,ld you the right think but for the wrong bike. Suzuki Access comes with 5amp battery, GS 150R used to come with 9amps and now is delivered with 7 amps battery.

And I would love to know the reason why you are hell bent in getting a 2010 model so as to wait another 2 months? do you see anything major changed as per the models. The upgrades that we are talking about like the battery and the brake springs are not model dependent and in any case they were done before the close of the year 2009. Please dont fall for what the Showroom people say, they have a reason to sell what they have rather then asking you to wait. Dhikhawey pay matt jao, apni akal lagao!!

Mate, congratulations for getting the RR unit changed under warranty.
I am not sure if Silverstar comes as a 35/35w. and in any case, anytime when we are changing or upgrading the headlamp of a bike that has its headlamp running on AC, please make sure that the electrical supply of your battery/bike supports the additional load. Otherwise, you might have to run the tedious task of changing the coils and RR units etc which might bar the warranty on your new vehicle too.

also, I would love to see and know how the pick up on your bike was affected after filling Nitrogen in the tyres.

am awaiting to hear on this.

Also i have a noticed a issue with my fuel indicator .....it is just blinking even though there is around 5 liters of petrol.....
Good that you got it changed. I will also try my luck at the time of servicing. Kothrud suzuki refused to change the same, under the pretext that it will void the warranty! One of the bolt holding silencer has gone missing somehow, and it is not it stock

I will tell you the exact location of the shop in camp ASAP, don't worry!

About the blinking indicator, no idea, maybe it needs servicing/change.

@DCS: Simply disabling the pilot lamps add 10W additional power, so he can run 60/55W bulb easily. I am doing so for past 3-4 months!

                      This isnt making anysense bro.

By engine guard you mean crash guard rite. It does add some weight but incase if anythin goes wrong atleast our knee and tank will be protected. By no way a crash guard is going to hamper airflow, if its a regular one. Ask guys riding FZ's who met with some mishaps. I wanted to fit crash guard of Hunk, since im running low on budget, couldnt do so. If i get money it would be the first one.

No Anup, the engine guard is different from the crash guard.
It is a flat black tray like thing mounted below/under the engine.

                            Hey SpaceTech,

I asked the person about all the accessories he had for this bike and thats when he mentioned about the engine guard.
I don't know if its the normal black flat tray like thing, or the one like in Yamaha - RXZ

I will not be getting it during my delivery, maybe when I go there for the first service, I will decide if its worth it.
I am also confused about the grips for the handle ...

I too remember getting the engine guard, saree guard and crash guard as standard accessories when I purchased my YD 125. Will talk to them while getting delivery.

I personally think engine guard won't do much in protecting the bike. The only reason why I even think about is that, it protects the engine from mud water getting splashed on it.

Dear Mr. Das, when I say apple I mean an Apple and not some water Melon or Banana. Also, I would love to see the place or the person who calls a CRASH GUARD/ LEG GUARD as Engine guard!

The answer was posted in reference to the query and not on basis of some assumption. And one more thing, most of the bikes come fitted with the Crash/leg guard and the saree guard as standard accessory, however we might see chances when the showroom people are charging extra for it. You should raise a voice when ever being charged for these guards. and I would still reiterate that engine guards haven't been too good in protecting the engine from external damage.
