This thread has become a Suzuki GS150R bashing thread and not a complaint thread, a group of people are repeating their problems again and again (its not that i dont empathize).

Please stop this or else I would have to close this thread.

    Thanks
    +1 to that......

Ya, even i feel that a lot of bashing work is going on...
Me too don't feel like reading this thread now a days...
As i always say, this bike is a new breed for Suzuki...
2day i was chatting with Mr kalyan (Service Head ABT, Chennai) was asking him about the rusting issue....
He too said that a particular batch of bikes had the problem, and Suzuki is seriously working on it...

Any new bike will have issues....
Even the legendary Unicorn had Issues initially and now it has all been solved...
We guys r the first set of Customers who showed some confidence in buying this bike...
So i strongly believe that there is no reason for Suzuki to neglect our issues...

So be patient and do cooperate with SC for the betterment of the product...

Last week i fell of my bike, Now the SC people r very much helping me with the insurance thing and the replacement of parts... All very friendly out there

So, please do post positives and share all ur useful and valuable tips...
Negatives r also welcome but please avoid repetition..

I dont think this issue has been discussed before so i had no choice but to post it.
Something seems to be wrong with my electric starter.
If i press the button everything(speedo digits, speedo lights) goes off, the bike doesnt start either.
This happened to me at 5pm in college today, i rode 10km to college in the morning the starter was fine.
even after riding home(10km) the battery hasnt got charged and this still happens.
I use kick for the first start in the morning everyday too...
what could be the possible reasons ??
i'll show it to SC tomo if this still happens but in the meantime i need your suggestions.

Thats not a big problem dude....
      The battery must be down...
Most of the SC guys don't really charge the battery for long...
To my knowledge a battery should be charged for 8hrs or at-least 6hrs.

Whenever i leave my bike for service, the next day i too fact the same problem.. Happened to me twice... Then i ask them to charge long...

Ok, tell me where u leave ur bike for service if u reside in Chennai???

Not sure of other petrol brands bro....
          But I think the
Indian Oil Xtra Premiuim is Octane 91
          and
Shell Super Unleaded is Octane 91
I feel shell is the best one....you can really feel the difference between shell and other petrol....
I only use the above two ...or very rarely I use HP Power...it is also I think Octane 91...

I'm in bangalore. i give my bike at aryan(airport road).

i've never given my bike to SC till now. so i dont think its due to them not charging it or anything.

About the petrol i'm using BP normal now.
i dont think u should use premium petrol for small engines(bikes), some people say either its no difference or it might harm engine in the long run. not sure if its true or falso though

This happens only when you have a dead battery.Go to the service centre & inform them that this happens. They will surely put the battery on charge & everything will be running fine again.

Hi Buddy... i use wax polish on my GS, i dont remember the name of the wax exactly, but it sounds like Formula 1 or something.
The wax remain on the body for about 2 months, and will really boosts the look, and also makes the painted surfaces smooth and water resistance.
If you want then i can give you the exact name of the wax polish.

                      • You can try Turtle Wax or Formula 1.They both are good quality wax polishes, but make sure you dont pick up a fake one, beacuse there are many shops selling these by telling them as they are OG.

                        • There is one named Robert's ______ (forgot the full name), made by Pidilite. Good one, and VFM too (Rs.40 for 100ml). A little polish really changes the look of the bike.

@ Pune owners: Anyone thinking of getting HIDs on the bike? As the touring season is coming up (read Sep end-March start), I am planning to equip the bike with HID. If I get some company in this regard, we can get some good price by bargaining.

Wait for 2nd generation GS150R... Lets predict it will arrive in 2011-2012... or may be Suzuki will launch a fresh GSR having new paint styles with a little different name.. GSX150R... oops, I mean GS150RX something just like Yamaha did FZ-16 and FZ-S ... ! ~

About HID, ask this on "Let There Be Light" thread. Pune xBhpians will help u out... NV, Inder are cool buddies.. contact them.

Ok.. here is the name Formula1 Carnauba Wax... paid some 150 bucks for the small wax dabba... you can get more details on this website (Formula 1 - Carnauba Wax)

Just make sure that you get genuine one, i found many shops sell duplicate now a days and they might damage the paint
