Hey good to hear that the swargate suzuki treated you well, i have my first service next week with them. Do they give the bike same day or ask you to come on next day.....
With regards to WD-40, you can find it in any good car accessories or a hardware shop. It's a common product which has multiple uses
I have to say that the bike has butter smooth engine and is great to handle in city as well as highways...

    • Hello guys,
It might be childish or immature of me for suggesting this..........We all call our bike GIXXER or GS or anything else......Why can't we start give each bike a unique name ........................I start by naming my Bike "The Black Stallion" AKA "Stallion"

Agree with you completely on the last part, Buddy.

Regarding Servicing, you have lots of Waiting. So you will have to Book your Servicing Date a couple of days earlier. If you manage to give your Bike for Servicing before 10 AM, you will get it on the same day in the evening. But if you give it after that, you might get it the next day.

But don't forget to call them and take a Date for Servicing.

          • Gave my bike for servicing today,
i told about the rusting issue but it wasnt written on the sheet and i forgot to read it before coming out.. crap..
for the handle bar, he showed me 2 gs150 bikes and said all of them have rust there, dont think they'll change the handle bar.
about the kick lever and frame he said we'll look into it
clutch and engine he only wrote that it has to be fixed(some tappet noise is written) so didnt tell them anything there.
thats about it. i have to collect my bike tomorrow evening.
they said for battery it will take time.

            • I once again bump my post about HIDs. I know shadowfax suggested me to look in 'Let there be light' thread, I am only looking whether any Pune xbhpian is looking at upgrading to HID, so that we can bargain more with the seller.

I have one more request to all GS owners. For my headlight experiment, I require a broken headlamp cluster, means the housing for headlamp (not the fairing). I want to fit a projector in there Asked Swargate suzuki, but didn't get a +ve reply. If anyone has got a better rapport with the SC, you may be able to procure the piece from accident bikes at scrap value. I'll pay for the shipping. Please guys, if this issue gets solved, we will advance one more step in making GS the best bike for touring!

Looking for support for above 2 issues

                Here's my Story :-

I had sent an E-mail to Mr. Atul Gupta and Mr. Deepak Saxena in Suzuki Gurgaon regarding my Rusting Issue. Immediately got a Call from Mr. Vipul Goel who assured that he will get the Issue sorted out. The next Day, got a Call from Mr. Vishal who is a Manager at Swargate Suzuki. He told to get the Bike and he will immediately replace the Chain Cover and Fuel Tank free of Cost under Warranty.

                Observations after 2nd Service :-

                - The 3.5K Vibes have reduced considerably.
                - Engine and Gear Shifts have become a tad smoother.
                - Got the Headlight Beam adjusted downwards, though have not tested it.

Btw, i took a Ride of the Test Drive Bike and it was not in a very Good Condition. The Fuel Tank was completely Brown and Rusted from inside. Took a couple of Pics from my Mobile. Am not posting the Pics and there has been a lot of Bashing regarding the Rust Issue and i might be kicked out by the Moderator .

Have a Couple of Questions :-

                1) Where can i get WD-40 in Pune?
                2) I was planning to change the crappy Exide Battery after 2nd Service to a sealed one. Which are the better ones? Can we fix a Amaron Battery on GSR?
If it voids only the Battery Warranty, then it's OK with me. But if it Warranty of the whole Bike is lost, then it's a cause for concern.

Am enjoying every bit of riding my Bike. GSR Rocks !!!

Hey Bro...I think getting up higher in the ladder really works...its good that they have taken up the issue seriously....
Bro...regarding the Battery... I am not usre of the warranty...but have heard a lot of complaints reg the GS battery....
As you have said...you can use the Amaron battery....it is really top quality...maintainance free and comes with a 5 Year warranty....cool isn't it.... no exide battery gives 5 year warranty....
but just check with the warranty bro....if it is only for battery then you can go for amaran...and it does not cost too much also....
just check out the site below....

Hey Thanx a lot for that Link. Will get in touch with them soon. It was that crappy Exide Battery that leaked causing Rusting of my Chain Cover. Fortunately, i got it replaced. But i don't want to take a second chance.

Does anybody here know for sure if replacing the Battery voids the Warranty of the Whole Bike or only of the Battery?

If i ask in the Service Center, i am sure they will reply in the Negative.

Should i try sending a Mail to Suzuki Gurgaon to clear this, since they now know me very well? .

you better ask the SC people itself. because u'll be giving it to them only for servicing later on.
even i'm thinking of changing the battery. the stock one died in 3 weeks for me
How much will the amaron 9ah battery cost ??
that link doesnt specify which battery for gs150 ???

can someone give me link to any xbhp thread for bike modification(only stickers and stuff). i want to know which shops will be good in bangalore for this.

I am not sure about the Price but should be around 1000 - 1500 Bucks.
I guess they must have not added it in their Database as it is still a new Bike.

Btw, does GS have a 5aH or a 9aH Battery?
I know this has been discussed before but do not have the patience to go thorugh all the Pages.

1650Km is too early for a 2nd change dude...
                        Not necessary..

Let it reach 3000+kms, then u can go 4 a change....

For me also the same thing they did....

Now i am nearing 3000km, when i start the engine cold, it is smooth, as the engine gets hotter n hotter, the oil loses its viscosity and roughness is really felt.... indicating that the engine oil has to be changed...

Bro I too have had the same experience.... When I went to my home town last week, for the first 30 Kms Engine is smooth.... then slightly roughness creeps in and it is till I reach chennai.... I just changed oil during the second service... Checked the oil level , It was OK... Does this have to do anything with the quality of the engine oil ??? I dont know what brand the SC guys used.... Is there any oil which which will not loose viscosity even after getting heated ??? since am actually planning longer trips in my GS....

BTW I've clocked ~3570 Kms in the ODO..

Bro..you are right as it is a new bike they have not added to their database....but you can see in the database which battery they have recommended for similar ES bikes...like UNI...Pulsar etc...we can use the same one....
ya bro I had enquired the price once...it costs 1400 odd something...

Ya I think the GS has 9aH...some people were telling it was 5 aH but I think it is 9aH...and for ES bikes...a 9aH battery is recommended....
probably you can take the suggestion of the battery showroom people itself....
