if this is the case how do you check the oil?? so common and practical thing missing in GS???
    Dhiwakar,
Calm down man. There is no dip stick in GS. You can check the oil level by seeing it through the glass pane just given below the kick lever. You can clearly see the oil level,it should be till F.

Check it out again, you will be able to notice it.else you need to clean your bike

You are quite right about that... although it is a Suzuki Hayabusa logo now widely copied by others because of the cool looks...

Here is one without the Hayabusa logo...

      • @Chief, that's excellent stuff. Most people would approve it.

But, having seen your skill at it and the way you have caught up with my idea, I have a few points for you...

        >> The diamond shape background for the Suzuki logo is better than the older rounded one. But I think there should be more space after the S and the GS... you'll see which one is better while designing itself.

        >> The "Racing" is looking uber cool but trying to be sensible, the GSR series are not racing spec but the GSX series are... take that off and ur sticker makes more sense. But, if you take out that word the sticker might look bland at RHS bottom! You might add some other word there... may be "drives you crazy" may be "6 speed" or anything better (these two phrases didn't sound good to me).

        >> Most important - The SACS letters are dominating the GS150 letters. It should be the other way round.

          • dhiwakarji I really can't help but to laugh. Looking at the oil window, you will see marks on the glass, one is min, above it is max. The oil level should always be inbetween min and max. In fact, this method is way more easy than dipstick.

However, make sure you see the oil level only on cold engines, or engines that have not run atleast for an hour. This is because in running or hot engines, the oil is up in the machine. It takes time to settle down. Hope this clears your doubt.

@chief ashman: superb work you are doing bro! In your latest sticker, I felt a few things:

            1. 'Racing' fills the gap between 'R' & SACS. Looks good.
            2. the '150' font doesn't gel with the GS font.
            3. The distance between suzuki logo and 'GS' should be equal to distance of upper line of 'GS' and the top part. It will look symmetrically perfect

            Great job you are doing.

                Sirjee,
The oil quality will degrade from the day you put in new oil & start riding. The colour of the oil says it all,as to how good or bad is your oil.IMHO if you run your bike daily for 60-70kms & occasional weekend trips, its best to change your oil between 1500-2000kms of running. It also depends on which kind of oil you are using say pure mineral oil,semi-synthetic or full synthetic. If you are using a full synthetic oil then you need to change after 5000kms.

Yes dipstick is really useful while checking this, but you can clearly make out that your oils has gone bad by seeing it thorugh the oil pane.

All this I can say is because I had used the GS150R for 5 months & covered 9000kms which I think no owner here has done that.I use to change my oil every 1500-2000kms of running & trust me till date it was running butter smooth & even today i can say that if I had the vehicle I could have given it you for a ride & you would know.

I have not bought any new bike but using my trusted old Nov 2002 Fiero which has clocked 88450kms till date. Will upload some pics soon.

                Happy riding

where are you bro???? really need your help

Hi bro....I am very very sorry...for not replying earlier.... It was a long weekend and Internet in my room ahs gone Kaput....some prob in my LAN card..so could not reply....

Bro....sorry to dissapoint you again.....but I have not yet bought the GS....
I might be the only Would Be Owner of the GS hanging around for such a long time... I will be buying it soon.....

To answer your queries...I had been to the Rajkumar Road suzuki 2 times....for the test drives.... ...
I have been taking test drives in all the showrooms in Hyderabad & Bangalore...so many times that prob the showroom guys have become wary of me....
The people there in the rajkumar suzuki are polite...and helpful....i had taken a list of complaints from this thread posted by other GS owners....
he answerred some of them..but other things he had no idea....

Bro...if you take my advice buy the vehicle from the showroom nearest to your home....all the suzuki SC are the same.....not much diff....
main thing is that it should be easily accessable....going far places for sevice is not much advisable....especially in bangalore...
so if you are living near Rajajinagar.....go for rajkumar road suzuki...
they have been there for sometime and reliable....

If anything else req. let me know...happy to help....always..

Don't worry, using choke is very much normal after a long rest. In the morning/after long rest, switch off ignition and kick two times, depress clutch and leave it (all in neutral gear). Then 'on' the ignition key and 'choke lever' then kick start and leave it w/o touching the accelerator for 15 or 20 secs ....switch off choke gently....and then ride normally !!!

                            • Tatoo Lagaao offer: No1 has checked?

Hey, Hasn't any of you folks managed to get more details on this tatoo lagaao offer for Diwali? The website doesnt say much & I am not in a position to visit the showrooms (as I am not in the country at this moment).

Would be very helpful if one of you can share more details on this offer. Basically, what is this assures 3K worth offer & other possible wins. Based on the details, I can decide whether the purchase can wait OR should I execute it without my presence (i mean through some family member) if the offer is really juicy :P

Also, pl. share details on what kind of accessories/freebies can we expect from the dealers. Any cash discounts?
