If you can shell out some money go in for the HID with a 35W bulb..
It wont hamper anything. I ve seen cases where a Osram NB was used wihtout any alterations to the coil. Just that the beam was not as powerful as it would be when it was given 55W power. When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)

Basic HID costs about 2K..and it would somewhat blueish-white light..!!Originally posted by Shadowfax View PostMore price means how much ? and HID will be white colour right ? why u wouldn't recommend 55w Philips or Orsam ?
55w bulb might hamper the stock electrical system of the bike..as its battery/dynamo is not designed for it..!
Well, i felt that way..and now its at his discretion whether he goes in for the bulb without any modifications or not..!Originally posted by insanebiker View PostIt wont hamper anything. yes sir.. u r right.. r u a software engr by any chance?Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostYes Japanese are very patient&understanding. However they mean business. I know them&their language very well&have spent some time in Japan too.

dont kno much abt this but i would suggest you to not to go for 55w bulb.. i think on this thread only, few electrical engrs discussed that it will increase load on battery... i will be content with 35w philips made in germany..Originally posted by Shadowfax View PostGuys please suggest me good bulb..... reading overall forum, I listed these-
1) Philips made in Germany 55/60w
2) that Orsam thing (i dun remember model)
or any other suggestion ??I like to meditate a lot.. On my BIKE!

Guys, got the 1st Servicing done of my GS150R this week.
Have a couple of Issues and need some suggestions:
1) After Servicing, i noticed that the Engine Oil Level is exactly in between L and F when the Bike is kept on Centre Stand and Ignition is switched off. When the Ignition is on and when Bike is Idle, the Engine Oil Level drops and is just a bit higher than the L Mark. Before 1st Service, i recollect seeing the Engine Oil more towards the F Mark.
Is this Oil Level OK? How is it in your Bikes?
2) There is some noise coming from the left bottom side of the Bike, probably from the Gearbox [Noise something like heavy wind blowing] between speeds of 45 and 55
in 4th and 5th Gear. As Speed increases, the noise decreases and goes away.
Have anyone of you experienced this and what seems to be the Problem?
3) Touched 70 kmph for the 1st time after 1st Service. I did feel slight vibrations on the Legs when riding at that speed and Engine Noise also increases a bit. What about you Guys?
Do post your Opinions.

Hey Abhi, what was the rpm at 70 kmph ?? I too felt little vibrations at 5.5k rpm (I was just there for a second only once). All I can say is wait till 1600 km for parts will get mated...Originally posted by abhi_gsr View Post3) Touched 70 kmph for the 1st time after 1st Service. I did not check the RPM but must be around the 5.5k Mark. Was riding in 6th Gear.

Oil level is to be checked only with the ignition off. After a ride, put the bike on the main stand, allow the oil to trickle down for 10 mins and THEN check the level.Originally posted by abhi_gsr View PostGuys, got the 1st Servicing done of my GS150R this week.
