On the topic of headlights, I was searching ebay.com for auxiliary projector lamps, and I saw some nice fog projector lamps in pairs, for $20 something. If someone in Pune/Mumbai has some connection in US and willing to split up the cost, we can buy a pair and get one each.
One example:
CLEAR PROJECTOR HALOGEN FOG DRIVING LIGHTS KIT ** EX:eBay Motors (item 270402948472 end time Jul-04-09 12:05:16 PDT)
Also, I read bit about HID too. Try to seach and see the photos of HID is projector housing. The light is so focussed in the cutoff is straight line, rather than the usual blurry cutoff of our headlight housing. That's why I am planning to buy a projector fog lamp, so that I can use it even when I will upgrade to HID.
Anyone game for this?
@Bubbly: A 35W bulb will not give much different light than other 35W bulb, and the GS150R already has a halogen bulb. I suggest you try the auxiilary light route.
@shadowfax: The strips look great! I will also consider it after the monsoon gets over

She had three babies named Nat, Pat, and Tat.
She said it was fun in the breeding,
But found it was hell in the feeding
When she saw there was no tit for Tat.

Hey Sagar, the White Radium Strip looks cool man. Nice one for 80 Bucks.Originally posted by Shadowfax View PostHey guys... I got the white radium strip fitted on alloy. It cost me 80 bucks at a nearby radium arts workshop...
This is how it looks. I think its cool....
Even i am planning to do it but thinking to do it after the Monsoon as i think it might get dirty. Wat say? Which other Colors did you consider? I think no other color would suit the Grey Color except White.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Guys,
Today, i replaced the stock Halonix Headlamp to a Philips 35W Germany Bulb. Purchased it from a Hero Honda Spares Shop in Nana Peth. Cost me 160 Bucks. Did not check with any other Shops for Price difference as i was in a hurry.
When asked for it's genuineness, he showed me the Philips Carton Box which comes with 200 of these Bulbs. The Bulb also has 35W Germany printed on it.
Believe me Guys the Hardest Part was to remove the Headlight Assembly and replace the Bulb. There are about 7-8 Screws that need to be removed to finally remove the Headlight Assembly. The Mechanic seriously got pissed off. :-)
Will test it tonight when i go out for a Ride.

Thanks man... Its (something like) plastic coated. I came home and tested it with water... Its fine. I didn't ask him other colors as I was sure only white would suit my bike. But I saw red, orange, blue, green & yellow there...Originally posted by abhi_gsr View PostHey Sagar, the White Radium Strip looks cool man. Nice one for 80 Bucks.

Hi there.. Booked for GS150R today. The color is greenish blue. Will get the bike on Monday
However i noticed few things.
1. The bike is really high. My feet were just touching the ground horizontally. Hope thats not going to be a problem. My height is 5'9".
2. The bike is really heavy. I compared it with Zeus. Big difference. I know Zeus is lighter because of less cc and all, but still.. If the bike falls it is very difficult to lift on my own
for a slimmy guy like me who weighs 65kg.
The observation may not be precise because I m a newbie to bike riding. Have driven dad's old heavy scooter though and learnt how to drive a bike 3 years back for license.
Ok.. Now please tell me actual rules to be followed to get optimum mileage and proper way to check mileage (I know reserve to reserve but I dont understand what that means). Thanks

I'm in Kothrud, so thats fairly close! I know most number plate guys will do it but I wouldn't know how well they will do it... and I get seriously pissed off with shoddy work, so asked. And hate going to Nana Peth... you can imagine why.
