Under 5k rpm at 50-55 kmph its avaragely smooth. Im satisfied. Still too far from 1st service, I think I shd not even look a bit beyond 5k rpm. Rest other things are perfectly fine.
good to see tht u took ur honey out for a ride finally
uphill, every bike gets rough because engine has to perform more.. with a pilion it becomes rougher.. no need to worry bro.. as i have said.. dont over expect from the SMOOTHNESS word and LIVE the ride..

I drive gentlely once touched 80kmph to test riding sound for few minutes only..........
i have tested thrice.. once in power mode with rash riding i got 40kmpl... then i tried to become sane and got 50kmpl with mixed riding.. then with shell petrol i got 52kmpl with mixed riding style..
somwhere i read that for good mileage u should stay below 4.5-5k rpm.. but i lack tht patience

Check whether it is coming from the exhaust..?

If you can confirm that its surely coming from the exhaust then there's no problem...thats bcoz of Catalytic converter..which normally produces that sound after heating up..

Thats right. I think that material expands due to heat when bike is running and begins to contract due to cooling when u turn off engine.

                            Hey Buddy!!!!
Don't worry much about the mileage thing.....
Should be solved in two or three services. Even i was much concerned about my bike giving only 38 kmpl. Hope it should improve gradually during services..
Remember, tuning the bike very often is not advisable..
Keep reporting Suzuki people about your mileage.
In my case the India service head promised that he would personally check my bike for the reported issues

                            • Late Report : Got my GS, finally!

                              Hey folks,

Thanks a lot again to help me decide which bike I should go for, and as I had cofirmed that it gonna be GS, and GS it is..

I have been a little too busy lately, so couldn't come online... I had booked my GS on last-to-last friday i.e. 5th June and got the delivery on Monday, 8th June.. I took the candy Orange color.

Its been a week and I have already clocked 250+km on my ODO. In just one week the bike has been tested against high slopes, decends, heavy bangalore rain, bumpy roads, etc and I must say I love my baby!

Will give you a detailed report/review later.. For now enjoy couple of its shots from my mobile camera...
