That might be because he would have swapped the coil with that of the Avengers' which is of 55W.

    It s a straight fit.
When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)

I think that guy is me. Nope, I am using the stock coil only! Tail light and instrumentations lights are converted to DC and bike is converted to all DC. Thats it.

              • Stock Battery! 1 yr old too.. Look here - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/desi-bik...ic-all-dc.html and here - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/desi-bik...0-classic.html.

And I have no kick rod on my bike since a long time. Each and every time it starts using the starter. That is how good it works!

If you use DC, you can tap into the reserve power stored in the battery. Else it does not make any difference. Nowadays all bikes are slowly getting to all DC.

Well, we both can help you to make this work. In case of any help ask us!

                      wow thats amazing

u modified this by yourself or by someone's help?

Its really cool... by this connection alternator's power is added to the battery power so we can connect a big lamp... BUT we need help in GS as it has digital system... Even the service person told not to connect turn indicator buzzer to GS as it is overloading the circuit(indicators blinking fast) and he told that every electrical components are connected through the electronic system...

so i think we cant do the same in our bike without proper service persons help

Thanks. I did it myself. Rahul Dev Nath helped me with the rectifier circuit. Can you scann and upload the electrical circuit diagram of your bike? It should be found in the user manual. I would like to have a go over it.

                            3. the fuel knob is also not placed properly........
                            diff to turn while riding
                            4. heavy weight
                            5. pillion seat is high
                            6. the headlights are not adequate
we need good 35/35 or a better 55/60 which is very popular and very much needed
                            7. BRAKES........ THEY COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH MUCH BETTER
                            dont forget this
                            8. handling is good but could have been better if a monosuspension was there
I ll rule out the following points:

2(pulsar 200 and FZ doesnt even have a kicker.... I am very much satisfied with GS)

3 (So where do u expect the fuel knob to be? On top of the tank?.... Its ok... I like the way they have presented the knob... Neatly packed.... Once again far better than the HH and Bajaj bikes)

4 (You wont put this point if u own a GS.... When i test rode this bike i felt it heavy... But now... I zip zap thru traffic as if i am riding a splendour)
5(Most of the 150cc bike segment has got high pillion seats....Even xtreme and apache have high pillion seats.... This bike is not for oldies)

8(I love the handling in this bike.... No way i can quote it as a negative point)

I ll put forward the points 1, 6 and 7 for sure

there are two advantages of AC over DC

                              1. AC voltage can be stepped up or stepped down using a transformer (i think this is not applicable in bikes)

2.most important thing - In bikes we rev the engine right from 1000rpm to 10000rpm so do the alternator. In DC generator the voltage is directly proportional to the speed so for EG if you get 12V @1000rpm then you get 120V @10000rpm

In AC generator the frequency is directly proportional to the speed and voltage becomes constant after certain speed. thats why people are using AC generators instead of DC

and finally during shock (when current passes through our body) it throw us and save from major injury... not in the case of DC
