@maniac: Good to see you back bro! Keep posting!
@riazmomin: Congrats on your purchase! Especially if you have followed your heart
@shadowfax: buddy, should we meet this weekend for a photoshoot and do the first impressions thread? I see you are good with camera. I am not so bad myself at it. What say you?
@all: bike is coming along slowly but surely. Enjoying every km. But the headlight need serious work. Maniac bhai, rewinding in this case is not necessary, as the battery is 9Ah, enough to provide juice to aux light or dc headlight.
I thing the place at the bottom of the headlight can be used to fit some aux light. If it can be utilized, then we can put a small aux lamp there with 55W bulb. Putting the bulb on crash guard will provide light to only one side, but putting it at the bottom of headlight will give full area coverage, and also protection from elements! Just a thought. Need to go and see more clearly how exactly the fake air scoops are fixed to the headlight, and whether we can attach some clamp to accomodate an extra aux lamp.

but what about the alternator then??
i guess its not powerful enough for a 55W
and the reflectors.....
ps: you guys must be thinking that why repeatedly i am telling about reflectors
i have generally known people changing reflectors when they upgrade to 55W..... ofcourse exceptions like zma exist but then also it reduces its reflectors light.......
i dont understand why people realize that we need good lights still put these stupid 35/35?????Hope is a good thing ,

@riaz - congrats dude for xtreme.. even i was drooling over the new cbz before getting settled on gs..
@maniac - once u finish ur discussion abt light/reflectors/alternators/battery etc, compile it in a single post which will be helpful for naive guys like me.. thnks.I like to meditate a lot.. On my BIKE!

Only anna nagar showroom has been chosen in chennai... I think you can do a service at any suzuki service center.... In anna nagar you have to book for service atleast 2 days beforehand... They can take only 25 bikes for service per day.... Since suzuki's sales has increased they are getting many bikes in a day for service (esp bcoz of ACCESS).... So they have introduced the booking systemOriginally posted by Augustine09 View PostHey bubbly. At what time will those people be comin. I'm planning to do first service this saturday at pallavram. bombard themOriginally posted by Bubbly View PostYup.. I ll be meeting them this saturday... I will get a confirmation call on this Friday evening...
kill them
make the engineers feel ashamed of putting those bugs in GS

@ all
i think we should prepare a final spreadsheet of problems in it
so that bubbly can ask them on our behalf
ofcourse he ll do it for free
and at last we could get an answers which would be correct and perfect
so here is the bugs list from my side.... ofcourse my personal views
and probably if only engineers are coming
will only be interested in engine thingies
not cosmetics or other things
wish a designer expert also comes
you all can add onto it
1. 3.5 k resonance
2. kickstarter not properly placed
3. the fuel knob is also not placed properly........
diff to turn while riding
4. heavy weight
5. pillion seat is high
6. the headlights are not adequate
we need good 35/35 or a better 55/60 which is very popular and very much needed
7. BRAKES........ THEY COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH MUCH BETTER
dont forget this
8. handling is good but could have been better if a monosuspension was there
lol............ hope after hearing all this ......... the experts think of releasing a new model with the bugs removed or launch a different model itself
bubbly if possible
also point out the non cooperative nature of suzuki and their useless website
athou engineers are supposed to be interested only in the bike
but if they are ready to hear........ do tell
i wish i was there
i think mr ssivakumar knows more than meOriginally posted by alkemyst View Post@maniac - once u finish ur discussion abt light/reflectors/alternators/battery etc, compile it in a single post which will be helpful for naive guys like me.. thnks.
he ll be a better person to do this job
i ll help as much as i know
man honda gearless was unbeatable until came out this AccessOriginally posted by Bubbly View PostSince suzuki's sales has increased they are getting many bikes in a day for service (esp bcoz of ACCESS).... So they have introduced the booking system
a real....... kickass and hence honda are working on it and made improvements and let out a new activa
and still working to improve it
if GS would have been a real competitor .........
honda would have done so with unicorn too,,,,,,
lets see whatever happensHope is a good thing ,

I know only some basic electricals but not deep in bike electricalsOriginally posted by outworldly maniac View Posti think mr ssivakumar knows more than me
ya... but one person in this thread posted that he is using 55W lamp in pulsar 150 without any problems.
ZMA has 188W alternator(got from its ownership thread), so relatively GS will has lesser power rating... service center guys know the exact value
BTW i saw some post posted by one suzuki showroom person (found inbetween the eco-power mode discussion) he may tell us the correct information.
