    • Even I am a commuter. BTW how much air pressure do you keep in the tyres.

Evening (7.00....when i start from office) - self start.... Idle the bike for a minute...Maintain 4k rpm for 2-4Km.... Then when i try to step into action everything is out of action....Gear shifts a bit harder... engine seems to be strained.... Bike finds difficult to cross 5k rpm...

Why this is happening? need experts here
        Thats strange

your symptoms clearly indicates poor circulation of oil(hard gear shift, less lubrication) is ur oil level is in safe range, check next day morning and evening rides...

i used to keep 25-35.. but once while cleaning my bike i realized there is a sticker near the rear tyre which is specifying how much air pressure should be.. its given as 22 in front.. in the rear 30 without pillion and around 33 with pillion.. check the manual too for correct specs...

a small transparent window near kick lever on engine...
you can see the oil level... it should be between the two lines (F and L)
check it when the bike is standing vertical without side or main stand.

how is today's ride... is it smooth?

I heard that a new bike should not be filled but to run more in the reserve fuel. Not sure how far it is true. Can someone clarify if thats the case with GS.

                      1st of all.. congrats..
now.. my personal experience.. dont take the delivery too late in the evening else those guys will hurry up all the process and you wont be able to check the bike before signing the papers.. once you have signed its your headache if some problem occurs..
so better have a test ride before signing the receipt there.. till you are not completely satisfied, dont take the delivery..
now lets see wat the other owners add to it..

yes sir.. ride it for 5-15 mins if possible.. if the dealer dont allow you to do so, give him a threat that you will cancel the booking... for ex. u wont even buy a pen without testing it then how can you buy such an expensive bike without taking a proper test ride of the piece you are taking.. else if it starts troubling you the dealer may replace few troubling parts but not the whole bike.. it will be your headache then.. its just a precaution.
also.. heard tht few of the pieces had rusted petrol tank problem, which dealer replaced later but why to take risk... it will be better if u check it beforehand.

I find this issue only in evening.... Morning its fine.... Should i ask the SC guys about this? If yes then i ll have to go to them this saturday

check the manual.. the exact location of the oil window and the procedure to check the oil level is given in manual properly..
if the SC is not far from your house, better visit it and ask for an explanation for tht event.. maybe its start of something bigger(fingers crossed).. we cant afford to take these things lightly with a new bike.
