Wait for a few thousand more kays and then go for the DC conversion....
Good tyres would be MRF Zapper Q or Michelin Sirac although the latter is tough to get I heard.

As mentioned...zapper Q is the best for all Indian conditions....even i am putting one soon.....
Thanks friends. I will check out Zapper Q

And yeah, even I don't want to do DC conversion now. Maybe sometime down the line. But for now, I was looking for an easy upgrade. Night trip on highways in bangalore, where humps are plenty, is tough. Maybe I will have to adjust for the time being

    @harish: No I was alone.

      - I am starting to notice things on the bike where attention to detail is missed out by Suzuki. Like the paint quality on the grab rails is horrible. It has started to deteriorate.
      - The indicator switch is not ergonomical at all. I need to spend a couple of seconds to switch it off. There is not feedback whatsoever and I need to press it in an awkward angle consiously if I am wearing a gloves. Bare hands its ok. I cannot expect everything to be given at this price. But whatever is provided should be awesome. Else shouldn't be provided at all.
      - The rear tyre is a dry tarmac one. MRF Zapper Y. It starts fish tailing when I brake even at 40. I agree that this tyre was chosen as its cheap and lasts as long as 30,000 KM but bad choice. Need to change to Zapper Q or Michelin Sirac soon. Hope they buy this useless tyre back
      - On the other hand, the bike has become much smoother as more KM gets clocked. Yet to take it out to the highway. Lets see what it has in store for me.
Indicator: Im not sure what you mean. You can either press the switch in the centre or flick it in the opposite direction to the light currently engaged to switch off. Both are easily done, glove or not. The switch engages with a click. What more feedback? Maybe the switch needs running in.

Grab rails: Are ok on mine. No paint deterioration\bubbling\flaking etc for the past 1.5 years.

Rear tire: I think the fault is not with the tire but with too less lever modulation. Settings need to be fiddled with I think. Same happens on mine. Anyway, use more front on roads.

What it has in store: Good things.

Maybe they need some more running in aka practice

I have put that cycle lock as a helmet lock over this. Maybe because of that, the paint is deteriorating. But still it sucks.

I shall try to fiddle with some settings. Lets see.

        Hope so

          • @rharish90: Metal part of the cycle lock might be hitting the grabrail while riding around....in which case it seems possible for paint to chip off.

@gmagesh14: Nice! You missed 14:14 p.m by 2 minutes though. It would have been a perfect synchrony of 14s if you had.

I hit 11000 a few days back. My fav number is 11. Regretting not capturing it.

                    • Hello Gspians
Hope u wont find it an offence to Hi-jack GS owners thread,i am asking here because the GS thread is very much active most people here are experts in dealing with svc
I have a query regarding engine-oil change,The recommended grade for slingshot is 20W40 but the oil filled by svc is loosing its viscosity after a city ride or a 20km+ ride, so in order to test this i purchased HP racer4 20W40 and changed myself after that I've ridden for about 400kms and i feel that this oils is a lot better, i believe that service center is using the same oil for Access in slingshot which is 10W30, Now i have 2 questions to ask you

1.Can i change oil myself without losing the warranty?
2.Is the oil filter different for every company?can i source it from outside without letting the svc know?

                        1. Yes you can.
                        2. The oil filter is different for different models and you can source it from any suzuki ASC. Even if it does come to the notice of the ASC people, it will not affect the warranty.

                          • engine halted after crossing 100 kmph.

                            Hi friends,

Today, I pushed my gsr to 110 kmph @ 9000 RPM. For 1 minute, I sustained between 100 to 110 kmph speed. Then, I suddenly reduced the throttle and also squeezed the clutch. Now engine halted. I started the engine in throttle close position, but it didn't start. while opening the throttle fully, then it started. Normally, My bike used to start at throttle close position itself.

What would be the problem friends ?
