Can you specify which rubber (part no ) you mentioned to the shop and for which make bike.as this part will be heating considerably , that part should be thermally reliable and withstand vibrations...
If some body can find better solution ..pls share.
Now Suzi... should pay me some royalty... ..LOL . enjoy the ride.
    Nice Observation .
I will try this soon but i really doent see much vibration between those range. I think unicorn rubeers will suit GS .

No way , unicorn has cylinder encapsulated rubber mounting , in GS only 2 holes( arm & silincer) for nut to be screwed in.

and let me know what have you done with the pipes connected to airbox(Not sure if GS has one)
I shall delete my posts in this thread later as i don't want to clutter GS thread
I think you should do alterations only when you are aware of facts about your engine dynamics , all bikes manu & sold in india are commuter vehicles in some way or other , modififcations can only alter little up performance with some penalty ,

I used a normal rubber washer, dont have any part no. for it.,
Regarding the thermal effect., day after tomorrow I'm taking my bike for short trip., Once I'm back I'll post the adverse effect of it.,,

            • Hard Gear Shift problem

The Gear shift was best on the TD vehicle(GS 150) from Apple Auto, BSK.
Thought every GS will have the same smoothness and booked the same.
I was never satisfied with the gears from the day one, i thought; let me ride the bike for 1k-3k and check - No change.
But almost for the past one month i had a severe Hard Gear shifting problem. I had to literally step on the shifter for Up or Down shifting the gears.
Tried with three visits to Service centre, adjust clutch cable setting and chain slackness is all what the "mechanic" does and no considerable change.
During my last third visit, mechanic says that all the GS are like that so nothing much to do. This p*ssed me off and i posted a complaint on Suzuki website.
Next day i received a call from "Supervisor" of a Service centre and he asked me to get the bike for testing.
Took the bike on saturday and he promised to give back to me by evening. He calls me at 3PM and mentions that he wants to show it to Company engineer
who is coming after three months and can give the bike by monday. I agreed upon the same.
Monday, he tells me that the company engineers have suggested to replace certain parts and not sure on the full list and agreed to share the same during delivery of the bike.
To get the spares, he will need 4 days.
I took back the bike and left for problem rectification on monday. Took the bike back at 5PM. No one is revealing the list of spares replaced.
However saw a small 7 inch cube box with oil strains and sealed with brown tape. He wrote the Job number on it infront of me. I saw a note on the job closure form, replaced all clutch related parts as advised by SMIPL.

I am planning to get the list from the SC/company when they call me back for closure/feedback of the case.
Outcome: Gears shift is damn smooth. I am satisfied .
I am posting this story thinking it might help someone who is not getting their bike's problems rectified by SC. Suzuki promptly attends the complaints posted on their website.
Thanks to many on xBHP who helped me with this suggestion.

Was it covered under warranty or did you have to pay for it?

Also, did you use the Contact us page on the Suzuki website or the Feedback page?

It was covered under warranty so i didn't pay for it.

i used the Feedback page. Just mentioned the problem with my bike and the dealer's name and address where i didn't get the expected resolution for my bike's problem along with contact number.

                          • tried that rubber washer thing but it made no difference to the vibes on my bike(mostly coming from the headlight cowling).

Rubber washer thing will only help in eliminating ( hiding) that 3.5-4K resonance band and not vibrations caused due to headlight cowl or other reasons , you can scan all older pages for this forum to get solutions for removing vibes from Headlight cowl
