Buddy, please post the pics ASAP, we all need that patch to remove that resonating effect from our bikes......
This will be very helpful.....[/QUOTE]
Its easiest job , easier than changing engine oil or any other maintainance which requires wrenches and screw drivers, just check out for where that silencer is mounted on same arm were your right rear footpeg(pillion rider foot peg) . put rubber washer between ... nd enjoy smoothest ride ever.
I really started loving my byke and wasting fuel unnecessarly...just cannot get off.... you guys try it , only 2-3 minutes job , 3.4 -5 K band is smoothest RPM range now
Sorry i am unable to support pictures for now .
..definately like to help all my GS brothers to enjoy the supreme smoothness, if any body can post a picture of GS from 3/4 quart/or right side of gs, i can pin point the location.....

Can anyone please confirm the recent price of Motul 300V 15W50 and Motul 5100 15W50???
I've found a local dealer in Pune, and he asked about 950+something for Motul 300v and 485 something for Motul 5100, should I buy the oil from him(though it seems like there's no other option for me since thats the only dealer I know selling Motul products in Pune as of yet)???

Thanks..I will try this and let u know the resultsOriginally posted by Vikshe View PostHey guys ,
I think there is design flaw and suzuki should take a note on this , we all have faced that 3500-4000 RPM resonanace which feels annoying , i accidently& intentially put rubber mounts( washer) at silencer (muffler) mounting near rear foot pegs and Lo ... vibration just vanished, after varifyng with other bikes (uni, puls, splendor, rtr , ..etc) every other bike has those rubber mountings to hold silencer.
since 3 days i am driving with in this band 3.5-4K and no resonnce at all , you guys can try and verify .

Gear Shifting
Many users still complaining about Gear shift problems from 2nd to 3rd ..etc..I also suffered from this problem initially. But the day when I swithched to Shell Helix synthetic oil ( ~ 750 rs ) , I experience hugh change in gear shifting....it is very very smooth now...

shell Helix is for cars not bikes
engine oil is not a magical fluid that fixes all the issues.
bike need to settle down for which it needs time and your patience so lets wait and seeLast edited by MSN1; 05-16-2012, 08:49 PM.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity

Tried his suggestion ,put a rubber washer, the so called resonance at 3.5k rpm range is almost vanished.,Originally posted by Vikshe View PostHey guys ,

This method will reduce the resonance which is happening at the 3.5k to 4k RPM range in GS150R..
Our GS brother VIKSHE has noticed it by using rubber washers in between the Silencer connecting bolts has reduced this resonance completely..
I too had tried in my bike and the result is same..
So, with his help I'm posting the pictures for your reference..
ALL CREDIT GOES TO VIKSHE.. Thanks friend..
Loosen bolt nuts on the marked area using Wrench and Hexagonal Spanner (14mm).,While removing the bolts hold the silencer with leg, dont let it to hang...

Put a rubber washer in between (It's easily available in any automobile shop., I'd one readily with me) and tighten the bolt nuts., That's it.,You're done...

hi rashid
i think k&n filter is of universal type (r1060) and it dosent directly fits to the airbox ,hence machanic have fitted directly to the carb ,main jet is upjetted to 120 from110 and breather ,what it means if you saying about pipe between engine and airbox it is now open ,is it okey or creates problems ,waiting for replayOriginally posted by jitubhai View Posti hav installed k&n filter and upjetting done after so much effort feels good

If you observe similar mountings with other manufacturers ( 125 cc onwards) have ruber mountings(Cylinder enscapulated) to hold silencer , GS doesn't, suzi has just tightened with nut and bolt
, also when your are in that RPM range you touch silencer with your right foot( without footwear better, take care to drive safely on road), it will be vibrating like a hell and as these are mounted on the arm that vibes are amplified with engine vibes causing resonanace in that perticular range and passed to other body parts.
Can you specify which rubber (part no ) you mentioned to the shop and for which make bike.as this part will be heating considerably , that part should be thermally reliable and withstand vibrations..
.
If some body can find better solution ..pls share.
Now Suzi... should pay me some royalty
...
..LOL . enjoy the ride.
