Congrats to you on your purchase Pratheepan. Welcome to the club. As you would read through the various pages of this thread, this is a very good bike but with a few niggles.
Just wait for 2 months..... you should get used to living with these niggles.

Share your ownership story and updates here. We are eagerly waiting to hear.

Congrats Buddy on your new bike....

I too took the bike from Aryan Suzuki, Domlur.. After my first service, i was really happy with the way they serviced the bike.

I gave them motul 20W40 (around 260 rs) when they said they will use castrol 20W40, and my total bill after the service was just 95 Rs..only things being Consumables (40 rs) and Battery maintenance (15 rs) + VAT .

2nd service done @ Apple Autos, BTM Layout..(total bill amount : 315 rs)

its because of the above reason i gave my bike @ domlur for the third service. . . but this time, they really disappointed me.. the qweek sound from disc is still there.. same as before the service

        Thank you Nikhil and Venkan......

        The story is..........

I am following this thread since a long time.... Its a kinda LOVE at first sight for me with the beast......Still there was a discussion with my Fiance (who was gifting this...) between Unicorn and GS...

She has an Activa..thus a big fan of Honda. Just for the brand....The big draw towards Suzuki is Access 125 which was a perfect replacement for her old activa...I had to put my efforts to upgrade the model to GS.....atlast the first part of the story ends with GS in my life......Hypothetically my First wife.....

My experience with Beast is for 500 Kms till the irst weekend......

Had a short trip little past Hosur on a divine mission(150 KMS).......two thirds of the distance was covered in City rides....Being very conscious of the speed limits not crossing 60.

Will bring up a ownership report very soon......with pics.....

Utterly disappointed with the jumping and shaking on my bike, I took it again to the Service Center yesterday. In the previous visit, they had asked me to come back after riding another 300 kms.
Bro, I experience the same this weekend during the trip to Hosur....Fist, i thought it is a flat tyre then remembered this post......experienced this when I had the pillion.....the jumping was at lower speeds without pillion.....Hoping a fix for this........

          Hi Nikhil,

Did you go there on a Saturday. It is best to avoid a Saturday service. From my past experience, all Service Centers are generally overbooked on Saturdays and mostly the bike comes out with just an oil change and a wash. . I prefer to choose weekdays for a service as most service engineers are free during these days and can give some TLC to the bike.

Hello guys .. I own a GS150R... Recently i Installed an K&N Air filter to it. Even up sized the Main Jet. Will be Upsizing the slow jet because it causes starting problems . now my Bike can take 180 -200 cc bike down very easily. Will be adding a Free Flow exhaust to it. I also came accross an electric turbo for small Bike.. Should i Order itot not?

K&N sounds better than the stock filter but there I guess there isn't much difference in power gain.. please don't get me wrong bro, there could be gain but certainly not substantial.

Bigger main jets will definitely help but will lead to slight drop in efficiency which is essential.

If I were you, I would have just forgotten the K&N. You don't really see any kind of noticeable power increase. Additionally, chances are you are likely to wear your engine out faster. K&N filters don't actually flow much more air than a good paper filter, but they do let a lot more dirt through when they're clean. When they get dirty, K&N actually flow worse than an equally-dirty paper filter. Instead of wasting your time (and maybe your motor) on a K&N, try to track down a performance paper filter. It will have more folds, and they will be deeper than the stock filter, so the filter will have greater surface area and will flow better.

What I suggest you try is get a slightly bigger Carburetor main jet installed. Then tune the AFR in such a way that at idle rpm, the rpm needle should not flicker automatically, which means its running lean, and nor should it run too rich.. and then make a custom airbox made which would protect the filter from dust. It sounds too imaginary but that could be the best and easiest solution.

After this see if there is still a requirement of modifications in slow jet. Remember to ride the bike in the range of not more than 50k/h for first atleast 1000 kms and then decide on the further modification.

As on your original question, electrical additional motor will be touch too much for the motor or I think it would go as un-utilized modification, cause I am not really sure how much additional impact it will have on bike's stock setup.

I went to Aryan Suzuki, Whitefield last week as they had asked me to come back after driving 300 kms.
They took the bike out on numerous test rides and removed the front wheel and checked. Didn't notice anything wrong so they sent me back asking me to come when I am free and can allow them 1 day for troubleshooting.

I believe a fix would be to get used to the wobbling and jumping.

During my 2nd Service (due in the 1st wek of June) I am going to insiste them to change both the wheel bearings. If that does not work out, I am about to ask them to change the chain sprocket set.

Please first went to SVC and ask them to fix the issues, if they are not doing the work then raise a complaint in Suzuki website.
Can you please explain in detail like from where you are hearing the sounds on your bike and at what speeds? If you share the details then any of the members will advice if anything is wrong.

I wanted to in form you that my GS is three years old. I do not care about its average any more, its still giving me 45-50 km average. And for the Jets The stock Main jet Of GS is 110 and I have replace it with 112.5 . As for carb setting, I tried to do it .It dose not flickrs, just sometimes turns off and wont start with out the choke . I will be looking for a custom box for it.And I am in mood for experimenting with my bike

Well yes i did and they did accept that engine noise is louder, it makes some knocking sound. Initially when i start my bike the noise is normal, after a while it increase and after some 3-4 kms of driving it even makes noise when idle, as in neutral gear, and the sound increases as the distance increases.

now the problem here is that i bought my bike on mar 12 and i havent serviced it in SVC since november 12, i was giving it to local mechanic for servicing who use to do an awesome job. but now the problem is that service guys told me that i need to have follow proper service schduled, or else i would have to pay for all the charges.

Following reason could be the cause:

                          1) faulty timing chain
                          2) engine balancer problem
                          3) MAJOr engine problem....

and yes, the svs guys told me that they need to inspect bike and will only able to comment after taking it into custody and inspecting the engine which will take a weeks time.

This is a part and parcel of the deal. Until warranty period, we need to follow each and every service schedule at the ASC only. Suzuki has a very irritating 2 year schedule to follow with 15 services. I think this is where they make their money.

By the way, if you could record the engine noise in a video or audio and share it here, someone could help analyze the issue and reply to you.

Yup thats easy way to earn money, i checked out suzuki usa website, there in usa its not necessary to service bike with suzuki, they have mentioned in their Faq section that a person will not void warranty if he himself services bike or with someoneelse, provided he isnt modifying any engine components an parts.

but here they just need a reason to earn money. I remember my bike had a wierd problem, as soon as i used to honk the horn my bike engine used to stop, or even when i gave a left right signal my bike used to stop, even self start hardly used to work. Svc guys told me its battery problem so they charged my battery for a day and gave me back. But that didnt resolved the issue. Finally i took a day off from office and went to svc and mechanic found out it was problem with ignition lock. The manager said it would cost me 1200 rs to replace it and its not under warranty. Mechanic told me that its under warranty dont pay money go inside and talk with senior manager. Finally senior manager came out checked it and replaced it for free.

but now that svc no longer existd nor do that senior manager or that mechanic . Neways i will record and upload the video or audio soon and post it here.

Have you tried posting a complaint on the Suzuki website. I have read elsewhere in the site that a single email complaint has helped one of our senior members "Hoodibaba" to get a good response from the Service Center.

In my case, during my initial problems, I spoke to the GM and MD of Aryan Suzuki and they were kind enough to escalate the matter to Suzuki internally. The regional Service Manager flew down from Gurgaon to Bangalore to inspect my bike. Suzuki is generally very responsive to complaints. I can't say the same about resolution though.

Try another SVC center and see if that would help.
