Sorry that I was not expecting a question like this. Please wait until I post the picture of that T handle tomorrow with correct specifications.

Actually I have been in car service and all, so I am familiar with these kind of technics. There we used to try different combinations of bolts as tools, for eg: 2 Allen Key bolts welded like a T handle can be used as a T spanner for a Hexagonal bolt of the same size. Similarly, a Trox screw/bolt can be unscrewed with an Allen key and so on....
    Anyway thanks for the compliment.

Good to see the GS150R community after a long time now. Sorry I was't able to visit xbhp regularly. Its been more than 4 years (1st generation 2009)to my relationship with the GS and not a minute of regret. Lot of Mumbai-Pune and a little of in the city. I love GS on the highways all the way.

Guys keep gliding on the GS and enjoy life!
With great Power(and Torque) comes great responsibility.

The wobbling issue in my GS is fixed after replacing the front wheel bearings (2 Nos)

Used this chance to replace the Front fork Oil (145 ml per fork).

4 Free Services done at SMK, Porur.

Never serviced after that. Just changed oil, cleaned air filter and spark Plug by self. Changed Oil filter twice in last 22 K kms.

Once changed the Front Sprocket as it was damaged

A Local mechanic fixed the wobbling issue. He was previously working in Castrol Bike Zone.

Just forgot to update about the Carb.

It was also cleaned for the very first time since purchase. It was almost clean.

When i got the delivery of my GS i had not got front leg guard. Finally after getting behind them for long got it on 9th. Along with that new fitting i also replaced front left footpeg, right balancer weight, and right tail light screw under warranty as they all had got rust. After that had a long 385km goa-gokak-goa ride on 10th. Now after that ride i have been getting to hear a small whistling sound that gets very irritating after some time. Not sure where it is coming from. I dont know since when this sound started coz during the gokak trip i was wearing helmet and couldnt hear that sound but i'm sure before the trip there was no such sound. Now in city when i ride i can hear that sound. Any idea what could it be??

Also i noticed today that my gear shifting lever has a lot of freeplay. As far as i remember it didnt have any freeplay before. Is it normal?

For the past three days, I noticed that some sticky stuff on the right of Petrol Tank, on the mudguard. Found that the Disc Brake Oil was leaking near the Brake Lever. Service Person told that the Piston Kit needs replacement Cost Rs.250/-. But I was surprised that the Piston was Plastic and not metal. Rs.250 for plastic is little costly. Another thing I noticed that the Brake Fluid comes in a 100 ML can costing Rs.51/-. But I was billed Rs.151/-. When asked the person at spare counter he grinned. Also they use only half the can.

That free play is normal and is there in every GS. If the whistling sound is really irritating, get the bike checked at the SC.

The piston kit, as they told, costs Rs. 250/-. 250 ml can of Castrol DOT 4 brake fluid costs Rs. 102/-, Bosch Rs. 101/-, TVS-Girling Rs. 93/- and KBX a little less than that which I don’t remember now.
Suzuki is not supplying any brake fluid to the ASCs and hence the SC is purchasing it locally. This is why they demanded or levied excess amount from you.
Ask that person in charge of spare parts to refund the excess amount levied. If he shows his ‘damstras’ again by grinning, complain to the SC manager.

The GS owners are either riding busily or sleeping more busily as usual as they never waste their time; it seems. So, please go through this thread or post your query there.

For extra grip you need to fit in wider tyre compared to stock...

Try to find 110/80-18 or 110/90-18 section tyre as they will fit in directly, without requiring any alteration.. Do note that the latter size will increase the height by 1cm approximately..

Earlier size is a better choice... You could get that size in Pirelli...Also it is a Tubeless tyre...

                              No idea about Dunlop..

I'm using Michellin M45 and found it satisfactory for my needs...But the ride height has gone up by 1cm....

Was raining madly here in Chennai for the last 2 days - opened the chain cover (the lower one was holding about a cup of water!) for lubing the chain and used a combo of old engine oil + Castrol grease = good result, better than the spray type chain lube. Also lubed lever pivots, side/main stands, seat lock mechanism, kick starter, gear shifter and exposed part of clutch cable. Even this simple DIY gave me a mild euphoria . Is it necessary to apply grease to the points where the rear shock absorber is fixed (body frame and swing arm ends) - or will the grease seep in and loosen the nuts there ? In one of the services, SC also lubed the point (with grease) where rear shock attaches to the swing arm. Any more lubrication points that I can take care of?
