Venkat... I guess, the feel is just psychological... Eco and pwr mode are just blinkers which would just tell you if your crossing the preset rpm... nothing else

These are the Armor All products I am using. The first one is liquid wax polish, the second is paste and the last one is shampoo to wash the bike. Though they claim the shampoo waxes while washing, the waxing is not so effective.
So, if what you bought is the shampoo, buy any of the waxes in the picture to polish the bike. Apply a thin coat of it with your fingers and rub with a piece of clean, soft cotton cloth.

As you said, it is a mere indicator reminding to shift up or minimize speed for better FE.

Maybe its just the feeling and nothing else.

Also, wanted to check if everyone switches to power mode when on highways.

I'm using Ceat tires. Ceat Vertig 130/80-18 tubeless in the rear and Ceat Securazoom 2.75-18 in the front which is with tube.

Even if all the GS riders on highways switch to power mode, that engine RPM indicator does not start increasing or limiting the torque and hence the bhp of GS as S-DMS does on some other Suzuki bikes like Hayabusa.

By the way, is the new front brake of your bike free from noises and revolves freely if rotated manually now?

How is the handling now? As far as I know, a more than 10 mm wider than the stock rear tire affects the handling of the bike adversely.

I've disabled modes since 2nd service, I hated all the predisposition.

                Sir, thanks for asking.
There doesnt seem to be new set of brakes on the bike. Suzuki is very secretive about what they did but the brake is sharper now. However it is not noise free. Iit squeals hard and can be heard even in heavy traffic. It doesn't rotate freely too.

But I dont think the jerky ride is to do with the brakes holding the disc. I was assuming either that or misfiring but it cud be to do with uncleaned carb, spark plug or air filter elements.

But most of us forget the air cleaner, sparkplug and tyre air pressure.
My 35,715 kms old bike, never serviced after the first at 9,46 kms, too is in excellent condition.

I burst the best cracker this Diwali - My GS's warranty. Couple of days back realized that I unintentionally exceeded the day-limit for the 8th free service. Plan 'A' was to finish all the 15 services and retain my warranty till October 2014. I thought after all 15 I would "take over" basic servicing myself. Now to plan 'B': Skip the useless 9th free service as well. (10 to 15 are skipped too. Savings on labor alone = 300 x 6 = 1800). Use the saved amount + pocket for any exceptional "manufacturing defects" found before 10/14. Happy to be getting my hands greasy sooner than expected!

Yes Punarvasu they too should be taken care, I just forgot to put it over here, but replaced them at regular intervals or when there is a need..
Spark plugs were NGK CR7HIX, they dont require frequent gap adjustments like the normal ones....Will recommend other GS users too...

Took the bike out on highway ride today on nh4. It turned out to be a rain chase. Intended to ride 50 kms till Kolar. Rode out for 20 kms when a few drops of eain fell on the helmet. With clouds looming large, took a u turn and rode back home just evading rain by a few seconds throughout the way.

However throughout the way, I felt the jerks have gone high and squeaks were very loud from the disc brake.

It was a very jerky ride and felt very uncomfortable. The jerks start after runnung a few kms. Jerks feel like its running out of fuel.

I doubt either the brake binding or spark plug and carb cud be the problem. Any other thoughts.

My bike had the same problem one and half year before. The problem is with the disc brake. To confirm it you have to place the bike on the center stand and rotate the front wheel. If the wheel locks before a full turn we can confirm that the problem is with the disc brake. To repair it you will have to dismantle front caliper, rub brake pads on a sandpaper (to reduce its thickness) and lubricate caliper moving components.

When you start feeling jerks, stop by the roadside and listen to the engine sound closely. If when engine goes off automatically you hear "chit chit sound"(not to be confused with tik tik cooling sound) then it is definitely something do to with sparkplug. I had faced the same problem. fixed by replacing spark plug cap. They say if water enters that socket may cause such issues

Same suggestions given by punarvasu. Will ask svc to get the calliper greasing done. The brake pad rubbing does not resolve issue as it reoccurs again in a few kms.
