I have ridden also 2 test drive bikes at Aryan Suzuki which had the same problem but I have also ridden the bikes of a few other forum members and never faced this problem.
so the bike is not free from this problem neither is it rare on GS. It is quite commonly found but some may choose to ignore it. Someone like me who finds it irritating will complain.

sorry, this was according to Suzuki's Territory Service Manager. I didn't see what happened with the bike as it was kept in Service Station for 3 days. I was told that this is what they did to resolve the issue.

I know why you asked this. First of all, get that console replaced. I am sure the SC will not replace it with a used one.

OK. What I understand from the word “wobbling” may be different.

I too dont think they will give a used one. Why i asked the question is, The reading will show only 0 kms even though my bike have completed 8000 kms.. .

Yes I agree. In the case of the meter console, they cannot cheat as the kms would show but when I had the problem with the rear brake shoe, they replaced it from another bike. Claimed to be from a new bike but if parts are interchanged how does it remain a new bike,

Same story with the front brake assy. Got it replaced from another bike. This time couldnt se which bike but they did not have stock of it.

So far as my exp goes, it has happened.

Not a suggestion, just curious why he left out the latest Honda . Even though Dazzler looks small, I like it better than the Trigger which has an unusual combo of monoshock and a full chain cover (But this combination is perfect on the Unicorn!).

So, get the tire checked by a tire dealer and replace if there is the slightest possibility of skidding due to wearing.
Check the condition of the chain and sprockets too.
Thanks Vishnu, for your only reply, I already had asked them to adjust chain slack, they did it in front of me , they said that the problem was with sprockets but i do believe that sprockets last more than 23 K right ?

Do you strongly suggest replacing air filter & spark plug ? or should i use it till it goes kaput ? like what are the disadvantages of using them further ?

About getting the tyre checked, i had gone to repair a puncture @ 20 K approx, at that time he told me to replace it,tyre looked really well still does..so really cant trust these guys!

Also people have suggested me to replace rear tyre only as it takes the maximum load & replace the front tyre only when it goes kaput.

                    Hello,

Can anyone from Chennai point me to a mechanic/workshop where GS150R FULL DC Conversion can be done. I'm a noob and I dont want to try it out myself.

                    Thanks in advance.

Well it depends on the current status of sprockets & chain set. Gentle riding style gives extra lifespan where as shock riding doesn't.

Makers(Suzuki) specifications are in general. Replacement depends on the actual status of components & it's hard to measure nevertheless. Replace them and don't forget to collect the old ones from ServiceCenter(Air-Filter & SparkPlug)

Properly inflated stock tyres do last more than 20k kms & the roads you ride on plays their role too. There are indeed reference marks on tyres for wear. Going beyond the safety(reference) marks only invites unexpected skidding & punctures.

It's better to change both tyres together as it helps in tyre break-in and for better response during cornering. However, if you're a gentle rider then this mismatch(uneven worn tyres) shouldn't matter.

Do let us know the ODO reading on your new Console. It'll give us an idea whether SVC has capabilities to alter ODO reading.

After owning the bike for 8 months and using it for 5300 kms, it just struck me today that I have never ever used the Power mode on the bike so I promptly changed to the power mode. I could significantly feel the difference in throttle response. In Eco mode, if we throttle hard, the engine gives a rattling noise but the engine responds more smoothly and swiftly to similar hard accelerations in the Power mode.

But it may lead to some drop in economy but it certainly was a different feel altogether and I liked it.

I replaced my spark plug at 12K and air filter on odo@25200kms. Still air filter is working fine and mechanic insisted to use same but I willingly purchased new(245Rs) and replaced on bike. Attached photos of 3 years old 25K+ ridden bike air filter.
my advise is to physically see the air filter and spark plug then decide about replacement.
