I know the fuel indicator is just based on the fuel level and it's not accurate.
But, I guess it doesn't entirely show wrong value, especially when the bike is in upright position. So, I trust it a little bit.
If u let the fuel settle down, its fairly correct however, the fuel quantity does not seem right.

If you have a Shell station in your city, pkease try filling up once at Shell. This will give you the most accurate measure.

Also dismantled the self starter motor yesterday and cleaned it, to solve the starting trouble of my bike. But it didn't solve the problem. At last conformed that the trouble was with the battery. So now need to buy a new one. Anyone have any advice for buying a new one?. How about Amaron that comes with 60 months warranty?. Please help.

I am hearing that dry batteries go bust sometimes. Amaron stopped manufacturing batteries for Bulletts.

Whatever u buy, I would not recommend exide.

I bought Exide EXTREAME Zero maintenance battery today for Rs.1250, mainly because there is no other option. Amaron does not have 7AH battery and Bosh batteries are nowhere available. I don't know about any other good companies. So I chose Exide.

Exide has two batteries one is bikerz

which costs exactly the same, maintenance free and comes with 24+12 month warranty. So I chose the later.

Nikhil, Rs 2 was to replace the nut holding the brake pedal (got bent after a low speed crash). The pedal was bent too and replaced that in the next service (till then it was like an Ashok Leyland lorry's brake pedal ). But next time I manage bend the pedal, planning to go to a gas welder (as PV told) instead of replacing the pedal.

Chiragwarm, adjusting clutch didn't solve the issue?

BTW, as anyone tried a heavy duty diesel engine oil like Shell/Mobil Delvac xx-40 in the GS??

That 18 ltrs that I've mentioned is filled from a Shell outlet only. I already had enough experiences with other dealers.

In which case, we can conclude with complete confidence that our bikes tank does hold 21 litres of fuel.

                    Help me friends!

Actually was shocked to find that the elongated portion(rod in left hand side of stand) in the center stand which aids in resting the bike is bent due to weak welding joint, now i am not able to apply center stand even with the help of a person since the force is not transfered properly.

i took it road side welder but he told me that stand looks different and he is asking me the original position of that rod.
So can anyone send pics of our bikes center stand when it is applied and when it is not applied plzz

                        Hi All,

Today, I got world most important and valuable award for my biking.....a..awww. I mean it.

It's important because, one person of my family was always against my motorcycle interest, and she always discouraged me to buy a bike, it's my dad who encouraged me to buy motorcycle, and I bought my GS one year back. That lady never sit in my motorcycle due to fear or something else. But today in the morning my dad told me to drop that lady to a place on my way to office, and I accepted, and after a hot conversation she convinced to sit in my bike first time after a year of purchasing. After dropping her to destination, it's about 25Kms. I am surprised she said that I am a awesome motorcyclist and she did not feared for once on road while I was driving, and it was her first motorcycle ride in her life. This is really a very Important award for me.

Its valuable award of the earth for me because, that lady is my lovable MOM. She is 57 years old....... Its my GS who make her happy in ride.

                        Happy driving!
                        Thanks

Regarding the full DC conversion, does the rewinding and Ape RR increase the capacity to 55W? I'm going to do the full DC conversion on my GS150R this weekend and was hoping to get this question settled

Did second servicing 3 days before. Replaced engine oil and oil filter. Had asked service center to check battery as i was having problems while starting the bike after halting for a few hours. Though engine was not starting horn and buzzer were working so was not sure if the problem was in battery. I guess the SVC guys didn't check this problem. Video shows starting problem.

Today i went to SVC again and asked them to look into it. They found battery was weak and faulty. So they have given a temporary replacement battery and sending my original battery to suzuki (I dont know where).

                              Guys, my doubts are -

I'm a week away from my first servicing. Can I go beyond 5000rpm mark after the first servicing, or should I wait till second?

And, occasionally, when I've touched the 5000rpm mark, I got a feeling that engine is not as smooth as it is @ 4000 - 4500 rpm.
Is it normal, like we should not expect the engine to be the same as we increase the rpm? Or, is there something I should worry about?

I'll be getting the so called HSRP (High Security Registration Plates) in a week or so.
I've heard that the vehicle can be tracked using this. Is this true? If so, any idea how this works?
After paying 250/- extra for this, I just want to know if at all it is anymore useful than the old number plates.

                              Thanks in advance!

The engine gets smoother after initial few services. There is a small vibration at 4000RPM. Normally you don't need to worry about this. Also refer owners manual for the engine speed limitation during first few services.Thanks.
