Sir, The choke seems the most likely culprit. If the lever on the LH side is fine, then the cable is pulled a little bit, causing excess fuel in Carb leading to rich mixture. This used to happen to me, when I forget to reset the choke after using it. Bike used to jerk and the rpm shoots up suddenly. Check the freeness of the cable. A little WD40 on the exposed cable and on the lever work's wonders.

Good news Vikshe...I met with a similar fate. My 2 months old GS150 was hit by an auto from back, causing tail light fairing, silencer to bend (not sure how), foot rest support, headlight fairing, all cracked. Imagine my plight, no accident on my old bike for 7 years..Anyway. Took it to VALUE suzuki in bangalore. After 20days, they replaced headlight cowling and handle bar. Did not even wash the bike and give it. Said the silencer bend was removed, but when kick started, the kick lever was rubbing on the silencer.Got pissed off. Shouted at the manager. He said will rectify it in the next service as 20 days was remaining for the service. AS I was impatient to get the bike back I took it and went. On top of that the next day I realised, they have spilled some flluid on my white fuel tank, causing it to discolour and in two places to blister. Was very upset. The SVC square refused to accept. Have raised a compliant to suzuki. Hope something comes out of it.Originally posted by gmagesh14 View PostPossible reason might be headlight stay wouldve got bent, which will prevent the side lock to get fully engaged...
Check it with the nearest SC, it's better/advisable to replace the bent handle bar and stay than to repair it...

So bloody irritated. The key works with the main bike lock & the seat but gets stucks at the petrol tank lock. It turns only 20% max. Goes in normally but is stuck. Bike has been stalled since a month. Urgh will I have to buy a whole new lock set or these stuff are repairable ?" A man is also known by the bike he rides :D "

Oil advice
From its childhood i have been feeding my bike with MOTUL 20W40 but last time i decided to give filter change a skip and after that my looks rough after 700 kms itself as if oil is 3000 kms old with vibrations at its resonant freq of 3500-4000.
SO i was suggested by my SVC MECH to use SHELL AX7 10W40 Semi synthetic oil. SO has anyone tried it before.
IS there any way of changing only oil filter even though it may not serve the purpose!!!!

that this happens with new bikes inspite if no fault of ours , roads are becoming really difficult to cop up , you can claim (try)insurrence and change all damaged parts

I think you have hit at right spot, that day i had sprayed some antirust near switches and tried to move liver which was operated after almost 4 months , it was stuck and was tight , but somehow moved freely , i had checked it that day itself , cable seems free enough but i doubt some mechanism in carburetor has not come to its rest position completly.Originally posted by zulu2627 View PostAwaiting your reply guys....

AX7 is Fully synthetic oil. AX5 is semi synthetic. I used Shell AX5 on my old bike and the results were good enough. It is comparable to Elf And Castrol SS oils.Originally posted by newfan View PostFrom its childhood i have been feeding my bike with MOTUL 20W40 but last time i decided to give filter change a skip and after that my looks rough after 700 kms itself as if oil is 3000 kms old with vibrations at its resonant freq of 3500-4000.

Use the rubber bush solution to tackle resonant freq issue. Link in the signature of Magesh. It works, you can't identify the resonance without looking at the console.Originally posted by newfan View PostFrom its childhood i have been feeding my bike with MOTUL 20W40 but last time i decided to give filter change a skip and after that my looks rough after 700 kms itself as if oil is 3000 kms old with vibrations at its resonant freq of 3500-4000.
I've used Shell AX7 10w40 Semi-Synth twice and have a spare at home for next oil replacement(DIY). It's better than any mineral. Currently my GS is running on Motul 15w50 Semi-Synth; which I prefer when longer tours are scheduled ahead. For shorter city ride Shell AX7 10w40 Semi-Synth may be enough.

You can replace the filter when Oil settles down. You need to top up the oil of same grade and make to be on the safer side though.IS there any way of changing only oil filter even though it may not serve the purpose!!!!There is no honest path to prosperity - KoKa

Value Suzuki SVCs (Millers Road + Yelahanka) B'luru are in my black list. I was not satisfied with the services from their centers.Originally posted by zulu2627 View Post...

I guess in Karnataka VAT has risen to 14.5% for they've waved off farmer's crop loans worth Rs 30,000/- each!Originally posted by pavan_cin View PostDue to higher state taxes always South states(AP,TN,KA,HL) have high price for any manufacturing product

Hi guys,
Im wondering if its still possible to procure the older type of fairing and the older type of side panels (with the chrome coloured parts) from the previous generation GS150R and retrofit them on to the latest generation model. Could someone kindly tell me how much the parts would cost and if the retrofit is an easy job.
Thanks in advance
