  • Hi Mihir, it's for H4 socket , so it'll fit only on the headlamp socket..
Secondly, it's for cars FOG lamp purpose and it will not give adequate illumination if fitted in the bike headlight...

If you planning to get LEDs for the pilot lamps, only this type of LEDs will suit..

    Hope this helps.

I have tried SMDs of much lesser price before converting my bike to full DC but didn’t last more than a few hours. The reason, I guess, was that it was connected to AC from the RR. Some of us like Dr. Arul and Magesh are still using it without any problem.

I was busy in BAJA then final yr project so on. now done .

I have also tried smds, yes it is still on, i have disconnected it right now though, was using in Number plate lighting.

So, Which bulb/s are you using now?

      • Will give you guys a quick review -

        - 2yrs and 1 month old.
        - odo 30k kms.
        - returns generous 55+kmpl if driven humanly; if beastly, believe me i have received 26kmpl.
        - spark plug n air filters are still original ones, will change in somedays after checking em.
        - have used xxW50 oils till date.
        - using 60/55W Phillips for 2 yrs now, on STOCK setup
        - Had used one fog lamp 55W on left crash guard for 1 year before this monsoon. Directly on battery with stock setup.
I have used it continuously for 5-6hrs sometimes but battery never drained, but engine was running 4k+ during that time.
Once had used for 1hr in Engine OFF condition still, was able to self start
        Our battery is fabulous.
        - will do Full DC soon, gathering gaskets n all now.
        - still on company provided tyres

Vishnu & me have already talked about it. I guess i have talked with mangesh also.
I had fallen short on money that time because of various projects in hand that time.
Now I am planning to do as monsoon ends.

            • Inspite of precautionary driving , a stupid guy rammed near my front wheelfrom right side at 40 km/hwhile crossing a busy circle, my front handle / fork seems to be bent( indipendaently , handle seems ok) , suspension are working ok , front mud guard cracked little.there is no disturbance in balance while riding but only right side handle seemsto be bent towards rider side ( with head light posistion changed towards right), also unable to lock handle towards left, there is gap which doesn't hold lock liver..my bike is 7 months old and 13600 kms odo 6 services over. help me guys , will it be rectified by SVC or need to change fork assembly , i doubt chasis , i have lost interest to drive my GS.

It is a better idea to change the handlebar than remove the bends. Try to get the fork assembly changed under insurance coverage.

Possible reason might be headlight stay wouldve got bent, which will prevent the side lock to get fully engaged...
Check it with the nearest SC, it's better/advisable to replace the bent handle bar and stay than to repair it...

Thanks , i hoped a huge bill with waiting time ( incase parts availability), inssurence stuff and all that .rididng is getting tougher day by day as we cannot predict from back side on stand still , from side too.we need tougher road laws at least in metros and large cities.
My confidence is restored (credit goes to my SC from where i did purchase)to next level and would recommend this fantastic product to every body arround.

                        • Urgent!

After hell lot of khit pit, magajmari, thinking, blah & more blah, I have finally decided to buy a new tank worth RS. 4600 from SVC.
Bike is 2010 model & now all you gurus say new 2012 tank is teflon & anti rust coated but this guy at SVC says its nothing like that. Obviously I don't trust him.

Anyway, so I'll buy the new 2012 MODEL blue PETROL TANK. Any problem with the fitting and all or just sticker is different? And if I should buy 2010 model only? Reply ASAP because I'm going to buy it tomorrow itself i.e. MONDAY.
" A man is also known by the bike he rides :D "

                              Whatever they say:
                              1. The fuel tank of new GS is Teflon coated to prevent rusting.

                              3. Unlike the headlight assembly, new tank can be fitted without any modification or alteration.
As the rusting is considered as a problem by many GS owners though it really is not so, buy the new tank itself. If it is not available with them, buy it from another SC or wait till it becomes available there. Perhaps they may be trying to sell the old stock to you.

Ok so decided I'm going to buy the new 2012 GS Blue tank & about the price Punarvasu, can't there be a difference in it among different states like it is with the whole bike ?
New models are available all over Mumbai & will buy it from the best dealer.

I just called two dealers and they quoted different prices. One says new tank is for 46XX & other said 49XX .. XX is some two digit amount I forgot. This Thane Suzuki guy says 5500 & when I bashed him, he was like ek min sirji let me recheck & comes out with 46XX.
Now tell me what to do ? Should I go there and ask for the price list itself ? Don't want to get cheated with a huge amount.
