Couple of months back there was no booking needed for service, Now past 2 - 3 months i have to book my vehicle for service before a week itself, if i need to get my vehicle same day back.

Regarding their service, Its only average. I had complained on suzuki website many times regarding mileage(35kmpl), rust, vibs etc.. they wont respond, Finally wrote them a mail saying i would go to court and will sue suzuki. Same day i got call from apple service ,manager to bring my vehicle, My bike received 2 days of VIP full service and 2 rounds of mileage can test with pillion and without pillion...i noticed 5 - 6 supervisors were working on my bike, it was awesome

Right now i am getting about 45kmpl in city. (330kms on 530rs of fuel). Before i was getting like 35kmpl.

If you feel the service is bad, please write to suzuki, Let them do the grunt work, thats the only way we can make them work. Only Repeated complaints will make them awake.

I forgot to add one important point which makes me go for some other SVC. These clowns have no clue about the bike. During delivery, the mechanic said I should maintain the tyre pressure as 28 for front and 40 for back. The service advisor does not believe that this can give more than 50 KMPL. And the worst part is, none of them have a clue about the service interval. They say second service is at 3000 while its actually at 4000. The clowns have no clue about the bike.

Does anybody have any reviews on this particular SC?
This is the one I am mentioning I guess. At KH Road just beside the flyover. The name is Aerolex Motors.

Yup its Aerolex motors but its only their showroom which is adjacent to flyover. The service center is close to hosur road intersection after Wilson garden.they r the only svc in b'lore capable of servicing high end imported suzuki's.

The one at dr rajkumar road does not require any booking for service and their service is also good !!

This is why I am hoping they will do a good job to GS.

When I went to SC they said it is common in all GS. But the point is it was not present in my bike previously. Please let me know if you get any updates on this when you visit SC
The thud comes in any gear when u try to downshift to lower gears at high speed . pl check up . and dont do it since it will damage your gearbox and gear shaft in a long run . try to downshift appropriately after reducing speed

Yes that hook like thing is making the noise and service centre people say we get that sound.

They say different name for that part at A.S.S like reed valve, decompression valve for easy start, timing chain tensioner.

Local mech say its only found in suzuki bikes and if hook is removed the bike wont make sound.

                • I also had the same experience. Hard downshifts, engine heating, upshift was smooth.
Engine heating and hard downshifts are gone.
Atleast 3 to 4 times i get thud sound in 10 shifts.
only when shifting from 2 to 3 or 3 to 2.

They say its b'coz of clutch and chain adjustment but how can it influence only 2nd and 3rd gear.

Chain gets loose within 150 - 200kmskms, when trying to move in bumper to bumper traffic feels like sprokets rotates for 1cm and then the bike moves. Also while shifting gears.

no no. As I said I'm getting this thud / click sound only when I shift from 2nd to 3rd. And it doesnt come always. It comes after riding for a while. It was not there initially

                    • I have switched back to mineral oil after using synthetic oils....Motul 300v didnt last long to me and i felt it didnt suit our bike at all.....I am now using Shell advance Ax5 mineral oil...I heard that once you use synthetic oil, never switch back to mineral oil...Is this true?..Whats the reason?

Not like that, change the oil with oil filter it's sufficient..
Use any brand of your wish with the recommended xx-w40 grade oil..(Mineral/SS/FS)

Its common with all vehicals , even with some common 4 wheelers like jeeps and cars ( low cost) when you down shift from 3 rd to 2 nd gear at perticular speed you get thud ,better shift with decreasing speed proportionatly. its not a problem at all .

How is shell mineral compared to motul mineral , i found shell better to motul in terms of gera shift , engine response.

                              • Hey GSpians.
from past 7 days i have covered 980 kms , when i visited my home town in interior maharashtra. ride was smooth , non exhaustive and comfy. no back/wrist pains on GS .
Average speed 65 KPH on continuous strech of 240 KM from Mumbai to ahmednagar , max 105 KPH for 10 minutes (4.2 hours). FE 55 KPL , returning back was slow 55KPH average , max speed 80 KPH for 2 minutes (5.3 hrs) FE 61 KPH. because of rise in petrol prices ( had filled 10 litres@ Rs78/litre ..) i had measured petrol in a jar so accuracy cannot be doubted.no problems even in hot day(46 deg at 2:00 pm) no change in sound , smoothness , whatsever.my travel expense was cheapest compared to any mode of transport(s) reaching some destinations were there were no public transport available at all .
This bike is good for touring and can travel 6- 8 hours continuously without tiring the rider & returning good....best fuel efficiency considering speed at which kms are consumed and basic price of the bike.better machines are expensive and more(very) expensive to run looking at current price of fuel.
