Anyhow, good to see so many new Gs150r owners. Guys, i am posting after a long time, so its a long post.
Here is a recap, initially gear shifting was so hard, i could not use toe shifter to upshift. Also, getting neutral was very difficult. From 2nd gear, the bike would skip neutral and go down to 1st gear 95% of the times. Showroom guys said neutral problem will be sorted after first service.
After 200 km, the gear shifts smoothened and was able to do toe shifts. But still finding neutral was difficult. Also, on 3 occasions, i noticed a missing sound while riding. It is kind of firecraker "phaat" sound, just for one stroke, and then the bike sounds normal again.
My bike got drenched in rain one day, and could have water entered the tank and caused this sound. But apart from those 3 times, i have not got that missing "phaat" sound again
At 736 km, gave my bike for first service. They just changed engine oil and oil filter, did water wash, and lubricated chain because i told them to. They charged Rs.460 including oil charge of Rs.258. They said at service they changed engine oil from 10x30 to 20w40. Oil filter costs Rs.30. Battery maintainence Rs. 15. They even charged Rs. 70 extra to lubricate the chain. The remaining cost is for consumables (meaning oil for chain) and labor and tax.
After first service, bike looked new again. Service guys told me that petrol quality in my bike was not good and that it had water mixed. Then, i realized that before giving for service i forgot to tell them about that missing "phaat" sound. I asked them how they think it is water, they said they checked and found more than normal amount of smoke coming from exhaust. So, nowadays, after filling petrol and locking the lid and removing the key, i make sure i press the top edge of the lid down, and i hear a clink sound, indicating that the tank lid is perfectly locked.
Now, after first service, from 2nd gear it definitely goes down to 0 and then down to 1st gear. Also, now when upshifting from 1st gear, it goes to 0, and only then goes up to 2nd. So, the finding-neutral problem is solved. But i wonder if oil change solved this or clutch adjustment? Also, sometimes i get a thud sound while downshifting from 3rd to 2nd gear or upshifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. This thud when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd or upshift from 2nd to 3rd is there from the start and continues even after first service.
After first service, next day, i noticed i was getting a "clik" sound when changing gears. Also, the same "clik" sound occurs when i ride over humps. I found that the clik sound is coming because of loose chain. When chaning gears or riding over humps, the bottom part of the chain was hitting against the chain case and causing that clik sound.
Instead of grease, service guys used some thin oil on the chain, which made the chain loose. Again, took it to showroom after 2 weeks and got the chain tightened. Now, the click sound has disappeared. Later i greased the chain myself.
Meanwhile, one of my collegues was impressed with my Gs150r and ended up buying the same white Gs150r. He bought from same showroom 1 month after i bought. We parked our bikes next to each other. No difference at all. All accessories and even the key chain is same. In fact, just for the heck of it, i compared the keys, and even the keys looked identical. We swapped keys and tried opening each others bike, and both of us were shocked. We both were able to unlock and start the other's bike so easily using our key. So, a bit scared now. How can two white gs150r bikes purchased 1 month apart have same key?
My friend's bike too had the hard gear shifts and difficult neutral problem. But but the hard gears is solved after he did some 100 km. The problem finding neutral is there, but not as much it was in my bike. Now, his bike done just 300 km.
More good news, another friend of mine too ended up buying the gs150r, this time a blue one. Due to his budget, i had recommended slingshot to him. But he did not like Slingshot looks and pickup. Then, for less height and weight, i told thim to consider SZ-R or Fz. Fz16 he found it out of budget. He then went for Honda Shine or Unicorn, but then felt those were overpriced and came back to Slingshot. He went to book slingshot but ended up buying Gs150r. Guess what, he says he is easily able to handle gs150r, though he is around 5'4".
I rode my friends blue gs150r for about 1 km. It had done just 6 km on odo, but the clutch felt smoother and engine felt less louder than my bike. Also, gear shifting was smooth, no force required, and getting to neutral was also very easy. The bike was set in no-mode. Now, i am wondering, why my bike took nearly 200 km for gears to smoothen. I was able to get netural properly only after first service at 750 km. My bike was bought on Feb29 and my friend's blue bike on May22. Have they made any further changes in the bike?
Anyway, currently, my bike has run 1500 km on odo, gear shifts are smooth, and able to get neutral easily. The thud sound still occurs between 3rd and 2nd gear shifts. Also, when i put my bike on center stand, start the engine, depress clutch, shift to 1st gear, the rear wheel starts turning even if clutch is still depressed. Rear wheel turns with good force; i can stop it with my foot. I tried tightening the clutch (so clutch cable is pulled more), but even if clutch lever is fully depressed, the rear wheel continues to turn. Tightening clutch cable did not solve it, so readjusted the clutch cable back to original loose setting again, so that cable is not always pulled.
Also, i recently noticed some mild oil leakage from my bike. The undersuface of the engine and near the gear lever is wet. Even the wire coming from the coil is wet with oil. Cant pinpoint if the leak is from near the coil or from near the oil drain nut. I feel service guys did not open the main oil drain nut at all. Instead they drained the oil by opening the 3 bolts of the base plate that has the oil drain nut within it. Seems like this baseplate with 3 bolts is not properly tightened again. This oil leak was not there before first service.
Also, my cousin recently test rode my bike and on returning said that smoke is coming from exhaust. He said to take it to showroom and ask them why. This has got me worried again. My bike did not got wet in rain again, and i always ensure that the tank lid is tightly closed. What could be the cause for smoke from exhaust? I suspect bad quality petrol. I will empty current petrol in my tank and then fill petrol from a different petrol bunk and see if the misfiring "phaat" sound and smoke again occurs.
Goinig to give it for 2nd service soon. Hope the smoke from exhaust problem is not a serious one.

].. Check whether it needs maintenance or not and then proceed.,,
, better you can purchase a spray type grease and use it by yourself or change the oil by yourself and use the old oil, mix it with lithium grease and then use it for lubrication, your choice..
