    Hi guys, i am new to this thread. I have an 11 month old GS150R which i bought after referring to many reviews in the internet, particularly xbhp and automobile magazines.Till date bike has clicked 6000 km on the odo and the bike is fine but with minor problems like 5th gear and right side turn indicator not indicating on the cluster. Can any one out there help ?
    I would also like to share a photo with you guys, which is a screenshot from a video which i saw in the internet. Hope every one like it.

      My bike has survived the 2010 and 2011 monsoons without even a slight rusting including on the silencer. All I did was washing the bike regularly to clean the mud accumulated on it. So, in my opinion, any kind of special treatment is needed for the silencer.

      Just avoid sudden acceleration as Magesh suggested. Try to accelerate gradually as the bike moves.

      Most probably a loose wire connection or faulty indicator switch. Please get it checked at the SC.
      And what is wrong with the fifth gear?

        Me keeping mum, was laughing whenever I look at those sentence and quite excited/speechless about the way you think and see everything...

        Punarvasu, my query is not a big deal/much important now and it's just for a fine improvement rather than a problem to be called...
        First finish the personal work ..
        I will get the gear arm tomorrow and make myself ready for the testing...

          When the bike is in fifth gear the gear indicator goes blank, maybe that too might be caused due to a loose connection or the speedo assembly is faulty which might have occurred after i crashed the bike a few months ago. Any way i will be checking it by my self as i have the wiring diagram and the service center people might mess up with electronics in the speedo assembly.

                We already a premium price for fuel irrespective of volume we receive , all govt taxes( approx 40% , which govt has no right to) and all that stuff. also all losses in transportation are duely considered and added to fuel cost to end consumer. there is no way any bunk should trade off in volume . any way this should be debated in different thread .

                  Guys, today my bike's rear view mirror broke after hitting another vehicle's mirror, can anyone tell me how much will it cost for a new one? or can I simply replace only the mirror?

                    The speedometer assembly of our bike is not repairable unless you are an expert and opening it makes its warranty void.

                        I broke the mirror on my bike and got the old type of Unicorn mirror for Rs.65 from a local mechanic. The design is slightly different for the newer Unicorn mirror and it costs about Rs.80 here. The old type matches the stock mirror more closely. You might want to look at these options.

                          The gear indicator used to go blank on my bike because of an excessively tight chain. It also experienced gear slipping at that time. Try to check the chain slackness.

                              vikhyath, it can happen but i had adjusted the chain according to owner's manual. Any way thanks for sharing.

                                Yesterday I went channai for the servicing of my GS150R (5th paid) at Jain Suzuki,Pallavaram. Their service is good till now. I was willing to buy one bottle of SAE 20 W 40 oil from them with extra payment. But they refused to sell. They told, it is prohibited by Suzuki to sale oil or spare parts from service centre. Even if my clutch wire is damaged, they will not sale the spare part. In that case I'll have to take my bike to them or contact them to provide service against extra charge.
                                It means for replacing Rs.100 clutch wire, I'll have to pay
                                Rs.100 for clutch wire cost+
                                Rs.500 (approximate service charge including the technician's up and down travelling expenses, as I stay 80 km away from chennai)
                                + Rs.50 tips
                                Total Rs.650.
                                Is it justifiable?
                                GS150R is a fantastic bike and probably the best in the segment. It is a rude shock to me that in the event of a breakdown, the authorized service centre is not going to sale me minimum spares in the name of Suzuki Rules. Can some one throw some light on this?
