please suggest any one from these!!
Try either motul or gulf or elf or valoline or original castrol are good.

Servo or mak is bad for our bike . Even avoid shell oil

        Check for jaso-ma2 standard oil

If you are going for semi synthetic then try 10 - w 40 or 15 - w 40 which is good for cold start in low temperature.

            Madhu,

            15 W 40 is better. If 10 W 40, there is a chance for gear slippage.

i dont think there will be any slippage . 10w40 will make oil flow well in cold temperatures and is better for engine .

Thats true lower the first value on grade doesnt meant to be clutch slippage its shows the behavior of the oil in cold temp. moreover nowadays most of the oils are coming with addictive which makes gear shifting and clutch operation
                smoother not slippery.

@ Vishnu what happened why you removed the kicker

Done 17.5K Kms on the odo and gave for 12th paid service today. I did not ask for oil change as the Motul 4t+ is doing good. I've asked for a airfilter replacement as it has to be done at 12K kms[and still not done]. I also asked him to check the chain as some noise come from it. Last time when I went, the mechanic said the sprocket has worn out little and this will not cause any prob [and did not till now]. so I've asked him to check it this time and lubricate the chain properly. There was rust in some part of my bike and When I asked him to replace, He saith that cannot be done and they'll repaint it and give. I think I'll need to take this issue with Suzuki Delhi. The guy said an approx bill as follows
                    Service: 250
                    Airfilter: 250
chain Lubricate: 85 [I thought, this comes along with the paid service]
Sprocket[if replaced]: 800 [at this point of time I asked him to call me and then replace, so that I can refuse to since this will cost me too much]
Will get my bike tommorrow evening only . Comments welcome.

Anyway I'm satisfied with my bike @47-48 KMPL at harsh city riding conditions. Have just a concern that performance at Hign revs [> 6K rpm] is not what it was before. So planning to change spark plug to iridium [CR7HIX]. I did not ask the SC guy to change my spark plug.

I guess this will be my last service in the service centre and planning to do the service myself thru 'Bike Zone' in Vellore. Heard that they are good and my dad gives his Zeus there [he claims that milleag and performance has improved ever since he stopped giving in service centre]. Also there are many bikers from vellore who go to vellore to get their bikes serviced on regular basis. The spares are only a concern for me and i think I'll go the showroom and get it seperately. Jain Sizuki has provided spares for me so far.

besides me there was one more guy doing service... he has completed 43.5K ksm on the odo [2009 model]... WOW I thought, the front stock tyres were worn out little and might need an change. the rear stock tyre was still doing good.. did not have time to have a chat with him... the bike seemed doing good even at this stage.. so think the stock tyres will do some good KMS on the odo...

It will be better to change the chain and sprocket together. Else you may have to change it again when you replace the chain.

I too am using iridium plug. It is heard that re-conditioned plugs are widely sold in the market. So, buy from a reputed shop. I bought it for Rs. 700/- (Rs. 550/- for plug and Rs. 150/- for packing and forwarding).

It is very nice to hear about the 43.5k kms covered 2009 model GS. I hope AKFARA also will read it.

In my opinion, changing the service centre will not be clever decision though the service charges levied by them cannot be vindicated as they are doing nothing on your bike except washing, if it is done.

You can do yourself every periodical maintenance works like washing, chain cleaning and lubricating, cleaning or replacing the air or oil filter, oil changing, engine flushing, chain tightening, cleaning the spark plug, polishing the bike etc.

In this servicing, you are losing Rs. 335/- (250/- for servicing and 85/- for chain lubricating).

So, try to do the periodical maintenance woks yourself and approach the service centre when you are having any major problem.

While iasking the SC mechanic abt the bike shut off if the handle turned left,
He replied it is due to the water(rain) inside the Kill switch, the water is moveding inside while turning left ,and causing the bike shut off
