  • GS is my 1st bike. Its been 8 months now riding it. Finally, its time for some modifications, but with care. I have zeroed in on 3 things that I want to modify vizz..

    1. Headlight : I don't really like the headlight & I don't find it powerful at all (not comparing to any bike) I want a white headlight. Its not a problem if the new one is same type. By type I mean like when we accelerate, it glows more. So thats not a problem but its got to be big enough.

Tires : I want my tyres to be tubeless & that has a better grip towards road than we already have.

Leg Guard : Yesterday, I tried to knee scrap on a corner & that guard almost made me crash down. So need a guard that is good enough for the pillion's leg & doesn't bother me while cornering.

Random : Any other mod you think I should do?

P.S. Please specify brand name & price. I don't have too much of money so please specify those that can fit my budget (there's no fixed budget)
I'm obviously searching a lot on this thread for the mods but still thought of putting up a post.

In general industrial design. there are many features in component which are for its basic function alone, some are for aesthatics, ease of manufacturing, ease of assembling etc, I think that hole is for aligning and positioning the right side engine casing with the engine crank case while assembly

      @Abdul
when there is no sufficient accelerator play in the cable this problem will occur(refer 6.25 in manual)

          The bikes in video were:
          1.GSX1000R
          2.Bking GSX1300
          3.Hayabusa GSX1300R
          4.GS750R

and the other bikes were a mix match of RM250 and RM450 and also cruisers like the Boulevard or the Intruder.

The GSX1000R new bike's tail lamp is a split design seen on Pulsar tail lamps, but the thing is that GSXRs got it first since 2006 models.

Now observe ZMR's head lamp design, thats also from the GSXr.

All manufacturers copy something worth from Suzuki.

                  • Biased Voting on **********.in

Guys it seems like voting on **********.in is being compromised, last time I saw the results, GS150R was having 230 votes, now its having 130, I guess the author of the site is biasing the results manipulating it so as to get sponsorship money from Honda(yes, thats right, I don't think 30 people would have clicked to vote at the same time for Honda Dazzler as this is a php based site so there sure needs to be atleast some time gap in between the votes)
So I am boycotting the site as its not fair in the voting process.....

Check the manual, it is clearly mentioned . "Press SEL and ADJ buttons at a time for several seconds approx 3-4 seconds then hours will blinking then adjust the hours then blinking starts at minutes so..on "

The moderator of Bike Advice thinks those in favour of the GS150R are proxy votes...........let that insecure loser moderator of Bike Advice rest with his favorite set of votes.
and believe in the fact that, the whole world rides Suzuki, very soon India will too

                            Dear friend,

I too have voted earlier but now they have closed the poll. Revisit the site. The same persons may have voted again and again and it seems that they are not ready to accept that kind of democracy. Anyhow, let us wait for another poll.

In my opinion, you being not a bike racer, the synthetic oil will not give you noticeable improvement in performance or mileage. You may get a slight difference but that too not tangible. These oils are more slippery and it may cause clutch plate slippage; I am not sure. Perhaps the only notable benefit may be the longer interval between oil changes. Synthetics are costly too.

Due to its characteristics, the wear and tear of the engine parts will be minimised and thus, in long run, it will be a benefit. But how long will you keep this bike? For 1’00’000 kms or more? In that case, I mean up to and beyond that, a semi-synthetic may be a better compromise, I hope.

Considering this and the opinions of the senior members in this forum and the opinions of those who are using it, take a decision. In any case you cannot extract anything more than the bike can give you – power or mileage – by a mere change of type of oil.

If you lean to synthetic, remember to change the oil filter and to flush the engine before filling it.
