    Have a few queries!

    1. I have been servicing in ABT Suzuki, Nandanam which is very poor. Did only 3 services and skipped the fourth. Currently staying in Vadaplani. Is there any Good workshops around? 5-10 kms within would be great.

    2. Seating has been a problem during summer. I have put seat cover with cushion. It's rexin. But still, in 15-20 mins drive, it gets uncomfortable. Any Suggestions?
For a moment i thought blue color was relaunched, after seeing your pics.

Dude don't worry that 40+ people are riding this bike. Most of the time my father rides my bike :P
    1. Try Avenue suzuki(Near K4 police station) Anna Nagar. I am servicing my bike there.
    2. The Seat is fine without any seat cover Remove the seat cover and ride the bike. You will like it.

1 completed 18 months of hasslefree ownership and the only complaint i have is the quality of paint on the rear side panels. It wears off too soon. The ones on my bike turned paintless after 8 months of usage, which is just placing my bag. Other than that, riding the bike has been a joy and my 58 km ride to work is one of the good parts of the day for me.
their is no doubt about the quality of Suzuki Bikes, but am telling that in context of where they are standing in terms of sales in volume
i think Suzuki's closes competitor here is Mahindra in terms of sales volume

in rest of the world it may be a different story but here india suzuki provided good bikes but sales volume is really bad...

sorry if my post sounds too much on OT

Just wanted to post some info msn1, suzuki has seen a surge in sales by 35% for 2012 in comparison with 2011. Second highest in the market. While hmc, bajaj and tvs continue to lose market share, hmsi, yamaha and suzuki r gaining. Nowadays u can see some active advertising too. Howevrr suzuki stil needs to improve build and service quality.

By build quality, I mean the packaging and not the engine.

let me put it in layman term

all the other brands mentioned by you, are also faced the heat due to market down, rupee value blah blah etc... but if you look at number of vehicles sold by the other brands mentioned by you are digits ahead of suzuki, and if you look at yamaha they are very new to scotter segment but you can see good number of ray scooter on road.

apart from access suzuki didnt have any other breadwinner at home, one way it is good as their products are good but not popular so we are getting them at right price or else it would be another honda story"

In other parts of the world, Suzuki hires designers who do what their job description says, DESIGN. Here, they hire a bunch of part time scrapyard workers(?) who just take design queues from other bikes and put it into their bikes. They do not give the consumer what he wants. An example of this is how they decided to join the 250cc race with the Inazuma which is a lift from the B-King looks. Looking like the B-King is not the problem but their ability to make it look in place with the current expectations is the problem. They might not be in the BHP race but a twin cylinder engine producing nowhere near the amount of power even a single cylindered competitor is able to is a put off for me let alone the sport bike enthusiasts that buy these.

Anyway, I am no engineer or designer and I'm not looking to pick fights on a public forum.

OT: I loved the ecosport too!

Thanks for all your replies guys!

I will try the service centers. Regarding the seat cover, infact I tried without cover for 4 months and it was very hard for long drives. So only I opted for seat cover with cushion. Nevertheless, many bikes I rode were more uncomfortable than this.

              No worries, thanks guys!

I don’t know how correct you are and, in the two wheeler world, who imitates whom. Inazuma is already on roads in many countries and not a product specially made for India. But, as usual, even those who don’t dream about buying it are hurriedly queuing to comment about its appearance. Now please let me know how much of the “good looking” 150 – 250 cc ‘sports bikes’ do you see dashing on our roads, even in cities like Chennai, Mangalore, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi etc? I have gone through the first four cities recently and for me, these bikes were rare.

Inazuma has 22 Nm torque at 6500 rpm and 24.5 bhp at 8500 rpm, if what I heard is correct. Ninja has 21.7 Nm at 10000 rpm and produces 29.7 bhp at 11000 rpm. Duke’s torque of 19.2 Nm is at 8000 rpm and its 25 bhp is at 10000 rpm. This means, in all means, Inazuma is better as a commuter bike. And surely it is not designed as a sports bike; it is a commuter bike.

Now about the speed. It really is a plus point if the bike continues to produce power up to a higher rpm but on which road are we to ride on a bike at Ninja’s 140 kmh speed at 11000 rpm if we are not drag racers?

And the speed: Inazuma reaches 117 kmh, Ninja 250 reaches 111 kmh and Duke 106 kmh at 8500 rpm, theoretically.

Here is the torque in Nm on rear wheel of these three bikes:

                DUKE 200 NINJA 250 Inazuma 250
                1st gear 545.6 559.7 565.7
                2nd 397.9 385.1 357.9
                3rd 299.5 303.3 276.6
                4th 238.4 249.7 244.1
                5th 201.3 215.2 212.7
                6th 176.5 192.2 189.1
Now itself we have decided that Inazuma will be a flop here. But let those actually plan to buy a higher cc commuter bike wait and see what really happens.
