Also can you please tell the amount of oil for each fork, the manual doesn't mention it. How often did you change the spark plug (and what of the 2 types mentioned in the manual) and air filter? Can you also tell whether your GS required things like checking valve clearances and repacking grease in wheel bearings? (I have never seen my Honda SC perform the same on my now-sold 62 k Eterno).
Engine / Carburetor untouched. I do not the quantity of oil in the fork. Will check in the service bill and let you know. Service personnel told I need not change at 10,000 KMS but at 20,000 KMS. I had forgotten to change oil @ 20,000 KMS. So changed the oil @ 25,0000 KMS / 50,000 KMS and at 75,000 KMS. There was no leakage of oil. The oil seal are still original. As far I remember I changed spark thrice. Maybe it may last 30,000 KMS. My Service center does grease wheel bearings. The only expensive spares are chain sprocket (Rs.1,000 approx), Air Filter @ Rs.250, Rear Brake Shoes @ Rs.400.

Except for one brief ride, I do not go at 80 kmph. The wobbling leaves me feeling a loss of grip and I ride very nervously above 60 kmph.
By forcing the handle bar to remain straight, I get massive pain in my forearms after any ride exceeding 20 kms.

I was drooling for GW250 and followed its updates for some time, not any more. The (so called) Inazuma, was shown to Indian market around 2011, and till now it has not come into market. Sad to see no new feature upgrades (other than stickers and the like) on GS150 for a loooooooooooong time. sigh.

Forget Suzuki and move on. As Punarvasu told they might a launch the bike in 2030. It is pity that the Hayabusa manufacturer treats its Indian Fans this way.

145 ml of oil in each fork is the maximum. Fill a little less than that, do a test ride and add the rest only if necessary. Avoid over or under filling as it affects the comfort of riding and life of oil seal.

I cannot understand what is wrong with your bike but I am sure that nobody can ride a wobbling bike at high speeds safely even if he tries to keep the handle bar straight by applying force on it. Keeping the handle bar straight by applying force on it itself is not possible.

Just forget that ‘wobbling’ and ride with relaxed hands and mind. Your GS is as perfect as any other one.

The only difference in the new GS is in its gear ratios. The present gear ratios provide slightly better torque in all gears except first.

              Dear Punarvasu sir,
Technically correct but practically not. I realized after test riding a first gen GS myself. The engine in the model that you have is much smoother and the latest GS engine definitely sounds more rattly than the older one. Also I beleive the build quality is not very great as almost everyone seems to be complaining about something or the other.

I am starting to live with the opinion that the bike is similar to other GS on the roads.

Please don't get me wrong. I loved the bike since its launch for the uniqueness, features and the advanced technology which is the reason I bought it and I still love it for the same reasons (even with all the trouble I have had).

Probably when you are in Bangalore, I will make it a point to meet you in person and show the bike. The wobbling (as i call it on my bike) exists on all the latest model GS (I have personally taken a test ride of 3 or 4 different bikes in the showroom). However Suzuki needs to get to the root of this. Living in denial is not helping them boost the sales of this bike and neither are they justifying the interest of the die hard fans.

I am pointing out to a genuine issue in the bike even as I love the bike as much as anyone else in this forum loves their GS.

                @ Punarvasu and Venkan 12

Wobbling is there for sure in some GS. Rode 2 bikes manufactured in 2011 and found the same. Even mine wobbles after 50 and is harsh with vibration at exactly 3.5 K RPM. Anyways, every bike will be rough in some RPM range.

With a pillion rider, wobbling is more.

Have checked the bearings, Fork Cone set, air pressure and what not. cannot help it out.

This is definitely causing an issue in long daily commuting.

Got severe shoulder pain and wrist pain trying to adjust to the wobbling and i have stopped using bikes for this reason for two weeks in a month. So sad i am missing those Kms munched in my bikes.

But we should still accept that GS is one of the best in very few bikes suitable for daily commuting.

Could wobbling be caused due to wheel balancing????.. I was thinking of that cause I have seen some bike with weight on their Rims.

                    Mr Aviraj,

                    1) looks like a bearing problem

                    2) Did u adjust your rear shocks to same position, get ur shock absorbers checked.

@umaheshwar83 , Congrats bro..me from trivandrum as well...my gs is from last august!. Just know that the service they provide is not good, they are all a bunch of youngsters (inexpirienced). When you get your bike be sure to check it well. My bike was full of problems which included a bent disc, abit rusted clutch cable( now very much, so replaced), malfunctioning fuel valve...changed them all under warranty but took alot of time. Many others got good bikes..i was lucky enough to get the worst one there , but now improving! i am a newbie, still learning so didnt know much about what all to look for while purchasing. Just check the bike thoroughly. Congrats on your selection...it is great bike! and in my opinion the best looking indian commuter! take care

So changed the oil @ 25,0000 KMS / 50,000 KMS and at 75,000 KMS. There was no leakage of oil. The oil seal are still

Your GS has the rubber boots over the forks if I am not wrong - very practical for our Indian conditions. And I don't
think our ODO has a sixth digit.
145 ml of oil in each fork is the maximum. Fill a little less than that, do a test ride and add the rest only if

Thanks Punarvasu. Is changing the fork oil a simple DIY job? - I must admit neither do I have any advanced tools nor did
I understand the fork reconditioning thread in the DIY section.
Just forget that ‘wobbling’ and ride with relaxed hands and mind. Your GS is as perfect as any other one.
Venkan12, are you sure its really wobbling? - my 2nd generation GS's front tire did "wobble" very rarely - I later found
out it was just a strong wind that unsettled the bike a little. I recently hit 70 kmph on the way to office (with a
pillon) in a road plain empty and rarely hit 80 on the highways - never had this problem of wobbling. For the best - have
one or two of the xbhp GSpians/your friends to test drive your GS - that will decide whether the problem is subjective or
                                objective.
The engine in the model that you have is much smoother and the latest GS engine definitely sounds more rattly than the
older one. Also I beleive the build quality is not very great as almost everyone seems to be complaining about something
                                or the other.
Yes, 2nd generation GS is a bit more noisy (but is smooth) - both the engine and exhaust note. 1st generation can even
put the Unicorn to shame. Engine isn't harsh always (mine smoothened out after 2-3k kms). Oh! I too thought the same -
but visit other ownership threads - complaints everywhere, every brand. There is also a gentleman whose CB Unicorn's
engine needed to be opened and overhauled.
                                Will post pictures on wednesday
Umaheshwar83, waiting for the pictures sir.
After a lot of search, online reviews and following this thread...finally got the GS 150 R
Satishpulsar, beautiful snaps of a gem. BTW, the candy max orange looks more reddish now or is it only me. Is the
headlamp cowl restyled again in this 2nd "facelift" ?
