And as some one rightly pointed out in the earlier threads, GS150 might not have the sales numbers as H/HM or Bajaj buy it certainly got a diehard followers.

I love biking and GS150 was my obvious choice. Looking forward to contribute to this ever growing group

    Hi Nikhil,

Welcome to XBHP, congrats for choosing a Good bike GS .

I have tried 2-3 SVC's in hyderabad but SABOO is the best among them. They are atleast professional compared to other SVC's.

No offence, but isnt it individual interest .. whether 1 likes or dislikes such things..? and i dont think you will say that to a moto GP driver.. or a stunt performer.. right? ..and you will enjoy watching such stunts...

bt i do agree to the fact that its polluting our environment... !!

yes, but if we keep showing fingers towards someone and keep spoiling the environment isn't good,

OOT even in Bangalore during cauvery issue the political supporters burnt tyres on road that created lot of fumes with smells across streets and while crossing that place felt like smelling poisonous gas

Cool. Didn't realize that our bike had the power to do that. But Aviraj, I just saw in this same page that you had only completed 18000 kms on your bike. Tyres generally last for 35000 to 40000 kms. Are you upgrading?

But I must admit that you live in a beautiful city. From the picture, the environs look very clean and green.

The tire I was using a tubeless Tyre. around 6 months back there was a big puncture in it, resulting in adding tube in it. Which is now I am gonna replace it, and GUYS DO NOT USE MRF TIRES, the tire I was using is MRF and I have switched to DUNLOP tires.

The pic was clicked at the part out side the city which was developing, so no one is there and lucky for me and my friends there is a 400 meter straight road with no traffic at all, the road is well built also and there is very less public there
                .

What happens to old tires which we replace, they get burned. What if a burned a bit for FUN, I think you do not know the meaning of FUN. If you are so environmental friendly then go buy electric car and scooter.

Hello everyone, i have not had time to actually post for quite a time, i still see a few people who helped me out when i bought my GS like MSN1. Great to see people still sticking by the GS. A small update from my side i have completed 60,500 kms uptill now in my 2.5 yrs of ownership. It has been great owning the bike, the occasional problems here and there but lets say my Service bill has not crossed more than 7k at any time(except for the clutch plate, sprocket changes ) and average bill of 800 rs

Over the period the bike has been giving me 50 Kmpl without any problem, and i ride daily about 100kms (Delhi-Gurgoan) averaging speeds about 55-65kmph. I think reliability has been never a issue with GS at all. I still love it the same way as i did when it first came, the 6th gear is a boon and has been used extensively by me.

Since bike has reached a certain age i have started looking for alternate bikes, lets see where i land up, could be another GS in the stable.

p.s just take care of your babies well, and they will not disappoint you at all. The 60k kms i have driven, except stock tires i have not modded anything. I like my things in stock condition and they work well for me (no offence).Servicing my bike at Noida suzuki so anyone needing any help with the workshop guys buzz me, i know the guys well and would gladly help, if required

daily 100 kms is painful but its less painful on GS in comparison to 100 or 125 or even few of the 150 and of course sporty 200 cc too.
i would suggest enfield thunderbird or bullet as they give better comfort ride than GS in long daily trips

Great to hear your review even after a 60K km stint. Alternative suggestions for your new bike.... Karizma, CBR series. Alternatively if you are happy to wait for a few months, Suzuki is about to launch a 250 cc bike and TVS is also about to launch a 250 cc (with technical tieup from BMW). It will be an interesting marketplace.

with respect to another GS, the quality has dipped. If you have been riding the 1st or 2nd gen GS, you may not relish the newer ones. There seems to be a lot of niggling problems which were not present in the 1st gen.

Very nice to see couple of GS owners who completed 50K + on odo.. and that too in short period of 2 , 2.5 years..

Pleasure to see the bike is trouble free even after this much run..

Yesterday, I gave my bike for 4th service @ Apple Auos , BTM Layout. Completed only 4600 KMs in 6 months time..

                                Hi All,
Hope you all are doing great. I am GS-150 R owner from Dec-12, and its has completed, 5500 Km. Its rainy time, so I thought to re-lube chain and sprocket of my baby.

So opened its chain both chain cover. I found that chain is very dry with debris of burned greases and engine oils which are applied by SVC guys. Another bad impact I found that upper chain cover is completely/badly rusted from inside. Below chain cover is also rusted from inside but little bit. I cleaned chain with tooth brush and chain clean spray.

Friends please suggest me should I say to SVC to change the chain covers as these are rusted from inside and my baby is just 6 month old. Or these chain covers are not covered under warranty. Next week I am going for 4th service of my baby.

                                Cheers!
                                Kishore
                                Thanks
