Candy Orange is actually very nice colour.. Its neither proper orange nor proper red.. something between orange and red.. Fresh orange, it looks awesome !!

Hye guys by the way my first oil was changed at 600km (too early I know) and 2 services are done. Its 2200km on odo. Which is the right time to change oil now ?

But even then no vibrations which sometimes makes me forget about the noise.. Is this an area of concern ? some times the noise comes even at 5K if the engine in running for a long time say an hour.... do I have to shift to some other engine oil (actually I do not know which oil they used during service)
i was going through another thread(think unicorn, not sure), but there was a discussion about oil, some people were suggesting 20w50 oil instead of 20w40 because it retains viscocity even at higher temp and may not cause engine roughness when it becomes hot.
I think the SC's use veedol 20w40 oil. atleast at my SC thats the oil.

600km isnt early to change oil. mine was changed at 430km,2 weeks after purchace. since 2 services are done i dont think u have to change oil so soon. anyway the servicing schedule is every 50 days and they change oil during servicing.

Hi BLITZ, welcome to xBhp GS150R club.
I don't get the point. What is high in GS to maintain ? In fact its very cheap. I've spent 0 rupees on bike in 4 months of ownership, except the regular service charges.

get teflon coating done for protection. and u can use polish too, if u want to maintain the shine of the bike. teflon is for protecting the bike, cant believe you havent got it done yet almost every showroom insists on it.
actually you need not polish it. i think they polish all the bikes during service. atleast mine is.

After first people my mileage dropped from about 60 to 40. i think some people reported the same thing in this thread. does it increase again after 2nd service. if not what can be done to bring it to 50-55 atleast. coz mileage is the main reason i bought the bike.(and looks too)

Hey shadow.... I've been checkin about SACS in google... according to WIKI, its a double oil circuit cooling system. Also it has been mentioned that the oil circuit passes through one side of the carb... I've do not see any oil circuit pipes near or on the carb.... let me know if what i've understood or observed is wrong. attached are some carb pics... Now after you have raised this doubt, I was more curious....

It does not matter my riding... Since I want to print the stickers, if that technology is not present in GS150R, it will be "poser-giri" of SASC.. And I never read anywhere in manual about it neither in ads of GS150R.. so just asked..
Hey Augustine, thanx for the link.

@Aniruddha: hey buddy, how was the bike experience of ur trip ? would you like to share ?

                        • SACS is definitely not there in GS150.
But if you see those grey pipes carefully(first pic) i think it takes oil from the crankcase.
it comes out again over the engine. i think thats the oil cooling system.

guys can you post your current mileage please. i'm seriously worried as my mileage came to 40 from 60 after first service

                          • Hi guys

I was keeping a close watch on the bike parts after seeing the rust issues. When I was cleaning my bike on sunday morning,
to my worry there are some parts already started rusting.
(Rust on a 4 months old bike, even my friend's 3 yr old Glamour is not having so much).

                            Thought of informing you guys
Please suggest what should I do here..

Sorry for discussing this issues again, But I am really worried.
Don't want to upload the pictures and spoil the mood.

BTW way bike is doing really good and getting a mileage of 52-55.

                            • The SACS system uses high volumes of engine oil aimed at strategic points of the engine, like the top of the combustion chamber, which are not typically well served by air cooling alone. coIn order to provide enough oil for both cooling and lubrication, the system uses a double chamber oil pump, using the high pressure side for lubrication of the parts (crankshaft, connecting rods, valvetrain), while the low pressure, high volume side provides oil to the cooling & filtering circuit. The oil removes heat from hot engine parts through direct contact, is pumped away and subsequently routed through the oil filter, followed by routing through an oil cooler before being returned to the main sump---source wiki
