    • Is it? United Agencies on Paud Road?? Disgusting! But as I mentioned, they gave me a test bike only. Seriously suggest you bring this to HH's notice... either the regional manager and/or the toll free number. Remember, it could be your bike that could be test ridden and raped by dozens!

Btw, their service centre (Automark Motors) is the wost service center I'v experienced till date. Beware!!

But if you see those grey pipes carefully(first pic) i think it takes oil from the crankcase.
it comes out again over the engine. i think thats the oil cooling system.

guys can you post your current mileage please. i'm seriously worried as my mileage came to 40 from 60 after first service

I was keeping a close watch on the bike parts after seeing the rust issues. When I was cleaning my bike on sunday morning,
to my worry there are some parts already started rusting.
(Rust on a 4 months old bike, even my friend's 3 yr old Glamour is not having so much).

          Thought of informing you guys
Please suggest what should I do here..

Sorry for discussing this issues again, But I am really worried.
Don't want to upload the pictures and spoil the mood.

BTW way bike is doing really good and getting a mileage of 52-55.

Here is a quick SJCS logo. It does not matter what type of cooling system GS has. May be advanced... may not be too advanced... could also be primitive. Point is it cools the engine well enough.

Bro.... I did not know it is the same every where....here too in hyderabad I went to 2 showrooms of HH and both the showrooms did not have test drive bikes.....as you and Shadow bhai said they give customer's bike for test drive....
I just wne to test drive the CBZ about a month ago and they told me they do not have test drive bikes...and when I insisted they gave me a bike which was to be delivered next day to the customer.
As they cannot put petrol in that they had attached a external plastic can with petrol and the guy sat behind me holding the petrol can high in the air as if they were giving IV glucose to the bike....

As I said both the HH showrooms did not have test drive bikes. they told me that HH has stopped keeping test drive bikes....
Only some showrooms keep it on their interest.....

I am not sure if this is true....anyway no HH for me...anytime....

                  • reserve problem

                    Hi,

of late i have noticed a peculiar behaviour in reserve

                    1. The engine starts choking and is about to stop
                    2. The bike is turned from Main position to reserve position
                    3. The bike runs in the reserve position for around 1 km
                    4. After running 1 km the bike is turned back to main position from reserve position
                    5. the bike runs for atleast 20 kms in the main position before coming to reserve..

is this a problem in the reserve knob? or any thing else???

                    • ^^ The fuel petcock may be dirty. Your bike is known to have rusting issues. Rust may cause a blockage in the petcock.
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

                        • Hello xbhpians...

                          Hi all,

I'm a newbie here. About my biking experience, I ride a 2002 splendor and it is my first bike. I started developing a passion for touring on bikes and have done several trips on the splendor itself and some on my brother's Pulsar.

I'm looking forward to purchase GS. But still confused between Uni and GS. I test rode the Uni and felt that it is like a 150cc splendor. Very easy to handle. But i didnt feel the feeling of riding a new advanced bike. GS looked great and very smooth to ride. I'm looking for a bike which would be ideal for touring. I'm 6 feet tall and weighing 82kgs.

Also can anybody here comment whether riding GS with a kid in the front is comfortable. Pulsar was not comfortable in this but Unicorn was good. I have a doubt whether i can do so in GS, as i need to consider that too when purchasing the bike. This requirement may sound absurd but it is also important to me as this will be our prime mode of commute.

                          • If at all you are planning to have a kid in front, I'd suggest either stick with 110cc bikes, because they are much lighter than 150cc ones, and easy to control in case of unstability. Else, sow a magnetic chaddi for your kid, and put him on the tank, similar to tank bags! He wouldn't be able to lift up himself even if he wanted to

                            • I'm not going to ride it all the time with the kid. As i said, i want to use the bike for touring and as a good city bike. 110cc is very less for my capacity.

Its not the point of the kid losing control/balance. Its just the question of how comfortable it would be. Pulsar had leaning posture so it was difficult. GS's tank is huge so i had that doubt.

                              • Guys had a few questions.

                                1) When i started reading this thread lot's of user's where reporting rusting problems. Are these solved? Are there any other nagging issues with this bike?

                                2) Hows the handling compared to UNI? I heared that GS is as refined and smooth as UNI but what about handling?

3)And what about spare parts availability? at some point in time we might need it.. Are spare parts easily available?

                                thanks in advance

I'm going to BUY a bike tomorrow. Had almost finalized UNI that's when heard lot of people recommending GS.
