  • SACS or SJCS?

No, SACS is not employed in GS150R, rather they have used the SJCS which is Suzuki Jet Cooling System. A Small jet sprays the engine oil at the base of the piston and help maintain the cool resulting in a cooler engine.
Its not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!

Save the Tigers! Only 1411 (excluding ME) are left!

lucky you my man ... i'm getting only 32-34km/ltr ... every day when i ride the bike i get the feeling that i have been robbed of 68k ... nothing is gonna change by cribbing now. Even if we try to get rid of it, we stand to lose 15-20k for a 3 month old gs as there are no buyers in the market. financially i'm not in a position to afford a 15-20k loss, so i tend to think of something else while ride this ... whatever.

Bro I do not think it has so much of a prob.....that you feel you have been robbed of 68K....
You can tell about his problem to the SC people....tell them to rectify it...and do not stop until it is rectified....I am sure that they can tune it to get more mileage...and if those people are not responding properly...you can always lodge a complaint to the...suzuki India people..
many guys who have complained to higher authorities....get good service afterwards....so there is nothing to think of selling the bike....
I do not think many people are facing this problem....
Most of them are happy with the mileage....

        What say guys...??

But if you see those grey pipes carefully(first pic) i think it takes oil from the crankcase.
it comes out again over the engine. i think thats the oil cooling system.

that's correct. the GS has SJCS and is precisely what DSC said above.

So, what made you think that the GS might have the SACS? our pep-talk on the stickers here???

Talk about stickers...I have seen the TWIN CAM 16 VALVE sticker on two stroke Scooters too, people write something they know no head or tails of!

                    • Guys

Today I reported the rust issues to the showroom in airport road.

They checked my bike and agreed to my point.
Manager Raghu was kind enough to spend near an hour with my bike.
He asked me to take it to SC for a better look as it was not clean.(Due to the last day rain)

I will take my bike on thursday to SC.
They will send pictures of the rusted parts to Suzuki India after that.

                      • Hi Everyone...................
                        .
I bring my GS150R 29-sep and its really ROCKS.................
I bought it from Bittu suzuki, New Delhi. OnRoad Rs 62500/- (bike
+insurance+no. plate) and a helmet too worth Rs 6188/-

                        http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...tml#post297062 - please reply

I want to share my experience with you all. First of all i want to thanx all u guys on this thread, your post helped me a lot to get me a right bike. I want a commuter bike for office to/fro, as i wanted a bike with good average + comfortable seats(as i got mild backache nowaday as i m cg artist) + decent power + good looks and good value for money, which i finally got one.
It got really great engine with decent power, i got a chance to cruise at 60 at 4.2K rpm on 6th cog and it was asking for more......................

                        At The Showroom:

The salesman was very helping. we were treated very well, even two customer are already their one for zeus and other for access, but we were treated with greater interest and others were feeling envy.

                        Experience:

Till now 100 at odo, and gear is smoother than earlier.
Its really BIG and heavier than other 150cc bikes and very much stable.
I got few false neutral shifting from 1 to 2 and vice versa; may i not shifting properly.
Rear brakes are not upto mark (i think i hav stand on brake pad to get good result - just joking).
Looks are great, whenever i stop at redlight everyone just stare it and my helmet.

dude the service near my place is a joke. when i left my bike for the 1st service i complained abt the thud experience while upshifting and accelerating. The chief mechanic of the service station said the GS has a high capacity heavy duty engine. this thud is a characteristic of the GS and there's nothing that can be done to resolve the issue.

the idiling of my bike is 1000 only. even i did a mileage test for my bike witht he 100ml bottle and a SC mechanic with me. i got abt 5.8km. but for this whole distance i was asked by the sc mechanic to keep the bike under 4k rpm. but its not always possbile to ride the bike under 4k. i usually ride btw 4-5.5k rpm and for this i should atleast get 48km/ltr, 32 is really unacceptable. never have i got consistent mileage. after the 1st service i got 50km for the first ltr of petrol. after that it got abt 45 for the next hundred km. there after it came down to 38 and now its 32.

do you mean set it to 1k when the engine is hot or cold ??
my bike has 1k idling when i start early mornings, then later it increases to 1.3-1.4k. and if i ride 9-10km at a stretch it becomes 1.5k-1.6k.
i know 1.5 is a little high but if i make it 1k then i feel it'll be a big problem in the mornings to start.

i think 32 i really less. go to the SC and ask them to tune it. unless there is some major problem like glazing or too much gap between piston ring and cylinder, i think it wont be hard to tune it to 45 atleast.
Did u ride properly for the first 1000 km ??

even i'm having a thud sound while shifting gears. not always, sometimes.
                            does everone experience this ??

                            • Since this rusting issue started with my bike, i've been looking closely at most bikes at college or signals and stuff.
i could not inspect the tank since its closed, but almost all bikes have rusting(cant say if it appeared within a month or not though, dont know the people )
but spots on frame, screws, sometimes silencer(if the paint is scraped off) rust is noticable.
i dont think any bike company uses anti rust coating before painting the frame.
noticed this on unicorn, pulsar and HH hunk/xtreme till now( in the 150cc segment) and other 100cc,125cc bikes too.

                              • @donarun: complain to Suzuki about mileage. And tell them to scold that mechanic.

@thefalcon: thud comes when u shift at improper (thats what is called by me !) rpm range without revving. When u squeeze clutch for downshift, give some revvv and then downshift. This works fine for me. Even 2-1 downshift is hassle free. And if Im not wrong, manual says the same. Also some bikes experts from xBhp recommended me this method.
