i tried your method of starting in the mornings.
for my bike if it doesnt start in the first kick(if the ignition is off or anything), then it gives a big headache to start.
i had to kick some 10 times today(last 2 kicks with choke) to turn on the bike.
i kicked twice initially(one holding clutch) to help circulate oil in off position.
but it never started when i tried kicking in on position.

could it be because engine gets flooded with petrol when we kick in off position ??

anyway i got my electric start fixed today(hopefully

).
they changed some relay thing(which costs 200), but i got it free

any idea what this relay does ??

.Took a test ride, the GS has a low pickup compared to my current ride the Xtreme.But the gear box was top notch the engine made some strange noise(tappets

) the suzuki guys said its normal, the horn was good and the test ride vehicle rear brake was malfunctioning

.The front disk was good.Next time i go to chennai i will go to another showroom and test ride the GS again

Adding to that, i feel it would look more better and also do justice to our xBhp Community if we manage to add " xBhp " to that Sticker. I think we can add xBhp in the place of Racing. I am no expert in using the Imaging Tools. So, over to the Imaging Artists.

Just my 2 Paise. Wat say Guys?

This is a simplified version ...
I can't find the xBhp logo of considerable size... they are so small on the internet that getting exact details will prove difficult. If someone can find a somewhat bigger size, please post it on the forum.

Personal tastes differ a lot from person to person ... We will have to work more democratically. What do you guys say?

I am not sure if this can be merged with the Main Logo.

I think the XBHP thing spoils the looks...it looks just like..an add-on. The artwork is better without that. How about a border around? Would it look good? Otherwise, the boundary will be lost in a black background.

...Waiting to install photoshop in my sys that I could also do something... could'nt get time due to my hectic office schedule...

BTW ~3900KMS in the odo and doing fine after second service... before that i have complained about loose chain which rattles even when I release clutch when driving... They had fixed it but it has become loose again and making noise which is irritating to hear while riding.

Has anyone faced this problem ?

Or is it that every month we need to tighten the chain ???

What can i do to make the gears smooth ??
i find it pretty rough.
i even try pressing the lever really slowly but some sound comes while changing gears almost everytime.(not always though)
its something like tak or two taks sometimes

and sometimes(especially when i'm coming to a stop and change 2 or more gears at a time) the gear indicator just goes blank and show the gear only if i release the clutch.

the worst part is, i dont know how to explain it to the SC. last time i told them, they said its normal for gear not to get engaged until you leave the cluth

can someone tell me what to explain to the mechanics next time ?

could you explain how exactly a loose chain feels like for the rider ?
because even i feel some roughness. dont know if its the chain or just rough engine.
i usually feel vibrations at the gear lever mainly.
and sometimes(very rarely) when i start off in 1st gear i get some clanking noise. is it the chain ?

same problem here.. have done 2200kms now. only niggle is the loose chain. SC guys had fixed it during the 1st service, but it started again within a week. I hear a metallic sound when passing hard over bumps/potholes.. ignoring it for now. will attend to it in the 2nd service.

Otherwise, bike's riding very well. FE abt 45-50kpl on avg. Engine is smooth, apart from the 3.5k vibes. Gearshift also butter smooth on the whole - only 1st gear a little hard. Love the looks and the feel of the bike more and more with every passing day

Chief_ashman's done a fantastic job with the designs.. Guys, any idea where I can get these stickers printed to order in chennai ??

I dont think clanking noise is due to the chain... If the sound comes from anywhere in the chain guard, then only it can be the chain... if you could tell us from where exactly the noise is coming from, we can try finding it..
In my case, i get a teeeeank, teeeank noise from my left side and from the chain guard...

Srini... I did not get this chain noise in the first 2 months..... only when i was nearing the second service I am getting this noise... After second service the SC guys had fixed it but it is now again come....

Is anybody else getting chain noise..??? Vishal bro... any comments as you have done quite a good no in the ODO....
