Re: Suzuki GS150R
This is definitely possible. Even in my bike the light was throwing somewhere, later I informed the Service center guys they turned the screw behind the headlight and now it is okay.Originally posted by nikhil.krishnan View Post

Re: Suzuki GS150R
Don't know any touring groups. But I have travelled last week from Hyderabad to Pune . My gs150r gave 35 mileage . A little disappointed but satisfied by riding comfort . Mostly I drove at 80 -95 kmph , which effected mileage I guess .I started at Sr Nagar in morning 5.30& reached hadapsar at 6.00 evening with many short breaks .Originally posted by speed deamon View Postguys i need some help i am planning to come from hyderabad to pune by riding bike can some tell me where i should i post to join the touring groups so that i can plan my journey accordingly

AP & Karnataka roads suck, Sholapur to Pune roads are work in progress , yet very good.
Helmet & glucon d water bottle are my gear , with Alfa VIP bag tied at rear seat.

The problem with TVS is that, after few years the bike will be with full of vibrations and so much noises. (You know what i mean coz am not getting the exact term for this..
)
I owned one for 7 years. Not a rattle. But again its down to how it is maintained. i have heard a few Unicorns and Pulsars in rattling conditions which are not maintained well.
Here is my brief essay about my first love
that I wrote after separation. http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...rsports-2.html

Re: Suzuki GS150R
Definetly the maintenance of bike matters. But i have personal experience driving a TVS victor and a TVS Apache 180 RTR .Originally posted by venkan12 View PostI owned one for 7 years. Not a rattle. Both bikes start vibrating violently wen the rpm goes around 4500 or when the speed crosses the 60's. If the victor was 5+ years old, the apache was just 2 years and both bike behaves the same way around.
These were owned by two cousins of mine. So i dont have a clue how they mantained it.
nyway, good to know your Star City was a trouble free great machine

Nice Ride Madhu.. I think its fair enough to get that much mileage @ that speed
Till now, i havent had a chance to drive more than 80 kms a day (up and down). planning to go for some trips in the next month. I stay near to Madiwala. so any places to visit that have a good drive and worth a visit ? Bangaloreans,, please suggest..

Re: Suzuki GS150R
Hey guy i have a couple of doubts... i just got my GS 150 (Orange) two weeks back and filled it with some 5.6 litres of petrol and after some ~120 Km odd it has hit reserve....
Immediately after starting the bike after changing to reserve...it didn't get started for some 5-6 mins and after repeated button and kick starts it finally starts and choked as if the fuel is empty, and after that every day when i start the bike it give a slow starting jerks (which we get when the bike is low on fuel)...... is this due to heavy reserve capacity...?
can any one explain why this could happen.....
Today i have refuelled it and saw this kind of rust in the tank, i think this issue is present in older 2010 model or something. But is it still present and could this be the issue of the starting jerks....
I didn't experience any jerks in the initial days before the bike got into reserve....
Should i show this to the showroom guys...? will they replace the tank or provide a cleaning....?

Re: Suzuki GS150R
Thanks Nikhil. Wonderful to read some good reviews about the bike.
However not all is true.seems to be like a paid review. Particularly headlamp throw, breaking efficiency, pick up, gear ratio spacing seems far away from reality. The mirror is a blatent lie.
.
But we all love the bike with all these. Great to hear about the networking with maruti suzuki. Will do wonders for sales and service.

Re: Suzuki GS150R
Hi, This is Nikhil hear from Hyderabad and i am new to XBHP,
I have decided to buy GS150 (Black) coming Monday and just wanted your views on service centers in Hyderabad. My decision to buy this bike was made some time back and when i googled it a came across this thread. I have read some of the threads and i am completely blown away by the quality of information being shared on this form. And as some one rightly pointed out in the earlier threads, GS150 might not have the sales numbers as H/HM or Bajaj buy it certainly got a diehard followers.
I love biking and GS150 was my obvious choice. Looking forward to contribute to this ever growing group
Nikhil
