If only two HID's (w/o headlamp) gonna be used then rewinding alone will do the job with Yamaha RR..

I sometime use both upper/dipper (55/60w Philips Xtreme Vision) simultaneously which sums up 115watts (~9A) + tail light + pilot lamp (LED) + number plate lamp (LED).. which will add another 3A.. Didnt faced any battery drain issues..

I'd done full DC at 3500kms and it's now at 16000 kms...

So I suggest you to go for Rewinding with Ape RR .,
Sure, but now I am already on full DC with stock coil, FZ RR and with stock battery (converted on around 2k of odo now it's 20k upto now with single HID no problem at all)

one more thing is, that Yamaha RR can't provide 9A Current

I think I should go with Ape RR
    Thanks for the suggestions

And I think the stock battery is enough even for HID after making the bike full DC.

yeah stock battery is enough and when stator coil provides more then 9-10A of current continuously then there is an electromagnetic load which will apply directly on the crank causing unwanted effort loss in the engine( this can be clearly absorbed while the engine is in ideal speed with full electrical load is applied, you can see that the engine decelerating a little due to the stator load when you switch off those electrical load then the engine will run normal)

This is why the companies are providing stator coil with such SWG

Thank You, but still I am a learner here,
And my bike is still with full DC , stock setting is only with stator coil and battery though the stock stator coil is modified for a full wave rectification

Apart from the sounds and gear shifting, what else have we to discuss about? The problem is that GS is a problem free bike.

I totally agree on this, it's a problem free bike.,

The only problem is the riders view on those things..

OT:: And I'd designed the gear rod now, came out very well, fitted in bike..But I'm sitting idle at home ,no works so far to ride my bike, so my testings are not yet over.. Will check how it performs with respect to false gears and it's consitency in shifting.,

Things noted so far are missing spongy/smooth gear lever action,.and little improvement in shifting., But I need atleast 1000-1500kms to declare the results..

Ya for some Pulsars I have seen recommendations in this forum to try Avenger's coil. Most people end up with Ape's though.

Any improvement after the change? BTW, why are you designing a new gear rod?

                        Welcome to the GS forum...

I doubt why you need a different oil when your bike is doing pretty well.?

Though, you can use any brand's xxW-40 grade engine oil which is the recommended grade for our bike..

Refer this for details of different types of oils.

The oil used in service center is Castrol Activ 20w-40 Mineral oil..

Mineral oil lasts about 1500-2000kms roughly., Semi-synthetic will go some 1000kms above.,

If you prefer other brand Mineral oil , try to get Motul 3000v or Elf moto gold etc.,,
If you want Semisynthetics, then try Castrol Power1 15w-40 or other brands xxW-40 grade.. Remember there isn't any Motul Semi synthetic oil for this grade, though there is a fully synthetic oil 7100 4T 10w-40 costs Rs.775..

Please practice to change engine oil periodically every 2500kms (For mineral and Semi)..

                              • Engine Balancer Technology in new Suzuki GS150r 2012 model

                                Hi

I am planning to buy GS 150r.
But from some of online review I get information that suzuki remove Engine balancer technology from new 2012 models and implement new (its on their website).

                                Is this true?
and how much it will affect on bikes performance.
I am expecting experts comment on this.

                                Thanks in advance
